Average course conditions. Typical driving range. below average short game practice areas. Their rates are NOT very competitive. The worst part is the management. Website is down as of now. Driving range often are out of balls or close early or open late without advance notice. To be fair they post a notice on the ball machine. But duh, I would rather know that before heading there.
The random closure of the driving range had happen a few times already recently. Their closure notice is always just for one day. Why couldn't they plan ahead and let people know about future closure plans? Many people went there for nothing.

3 things you need to pay attention to when playing at Crystal Spring, first, big big chunk of trees everywhere, you need to make sure you aim correctly, otherwise they send your ball back for few yards, hah.
2nd, the greens here are brutal, fast and hard to read, need to spend more time reading the lines, otherwise you'll easily 3 putts.
3rd, the fairways here are long, hit it hard.
Hole 6 and 10 are similar, both surely fun and challenging ones, big down slope and dog leg left, really need to drive your first shot well to lay up for your second.
Hole 12 is another fun one, your 2nd shot is facing a 40ft uphill, plus Hole 15 is a 270 yards short par4, try getting at least a birdie here ?
I did enjoy the mountain view here buy I don't know if I will pay 90 bucks "hot deal" to play here again while you only need to pay 70 at the Wente vineyard course.

Got there 1 minute late to my tee time after the food I ordered 30 minutes before my tee time was finally given to me. Was pressured by the starter that I was late and that my ball had to be in flight at my teen time ONLY to be stuck behind 4 (YES FOUR) groups on hole 2. Saw 2 walkers call the clubhouse, get a refund and go home on hole 3 cause of how bad it was. Terrible service, terrible management, course is solid though

The course is beautiful and challenging. The service in the grill and the food options are less than ideal. 0 vegetarian options

Staff at this golf course do not allow Youth on Course to play at age 18, even though Youth on Course policy age 18 and under
Inquired with staff about this very new (and no posted signage) policy, met with dismissive and shortness.

It was my first visit, and as expected, the surrounding scenery was beautiful and there was a bit of wind. However, it is not an easy course. This is a good course for those who like challenges. There is no information about the course on the cart or scorecard, so it is not recommended for first-time visitors. It's easy to get lost along the way. On the day we went, there was a golf camp, so parking wasn't easy and there was quite a delay from the start of the game. The most surprising thing was that I couldn't enter the portable toilet in the front 9 holes because there were 100 flies living there. There was only one restroom before the start 10th hole and it was the only one. In other words, you can use the restroom only before the start and once after 9 holes. I'm sorry, but I think it will be difficult to visit again until this part is improved.

The downside is that play often takes more than 5 hours on weekend afternoons, but it is a golf course with a beautiful 6th hole overlooking the Crystal Spring area.
And there's a friendly employee named Bobby. I didn't want to go because the staff was rude, but Bobby made me feel better, so I kept going. We are grateful to have Bobby working at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Incredible views and very friendly welcoming staff. Lots of wildlife and it was all super well maintained too. Will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful course right next to Crystal Springs. Perhaps one of the best courses in the Bay Area.

Had a really nice time at this course while traveling for work. Staff was super friendly, starter got me off early, and Bobby the assistant pro was incredibly helpful despite being busy with a packed course. They even have someone pick you up in a golf cart from your car. Definitely a good place to check out.

I had an overall pretty terrible overall experience today:
- first, pushcart that always steered to the right
- punched greens and tees without prior disclosure
- extremely slow pace of play without any enforcement, but a starter rushing groups, even encouraging to hit when others are still in conceivable hitting range
- rude group behind me accusing me of jumping them besides them having a much later tee time than me
- rough that made balls unplayable or unfindable when only slightly off the fairway

Played here on a weekday in early April 2024, unfortunately just two days after the greens were aerated. There’s a range with very reasonably priced balls, and there were plenty of tee times available throughout into the afternoon. Plenty of wildlife roam the course- mostly turkeys and herds of deer. Friendly staff in the pro shop.

Bad conditions. Expected the course to be wet because of rain over the weekend so we called the pro shop the morning of to check on the conditions. They said the course was fine to play on, yet half the greens, all of the bunkers, and most fairways had standing water / thick mud. Course should have been closed.
We were charged full price, which is very disappointing. This is the 2nd time this has happened. None other courses in the area have had such bad conditions with this amount of rain.
