San Bruno store. ordered fresh sandwich from Deli. Big disappointment. For $12.99 I requested everything on it got home No lettuce ,No pickles, Mo tomatoes, No peppers, No pesto sauce . All I got was meat, mayonnaise ,mustard, and onions nothing else. What a rip off go to Safeway go to Luckys and get your sandwich. too bad that I live very close

One of several locations in the Bay Area, this Lunardis has the same quality and products. The produce is very good and they have a full butcher's counter that has pretty much everything. Staff are very nice and they are very clean and organized. The downside is that they are more expensive but for certain things that's ok.

This is a local neighborhood supermarket I have been visited over 20 years. Today I experienced the worst service ever at the bakery side that I visited the most. There were two ladies and one gentleman chatting at the moment while I stood there waiting for service over 10 minutes. I meant total ignorance! Finally at around 1:10 pm, the gentleman came without any greeting and took my order wrong. (Miscounting the pieces of my order). I just don't want people like ruin a reputation of a friendly local supermarket.

So far, the only place I can find German head cheese ever since Boars Head became Safeways boy. Try it it's the vinegar ?.

I ordered a prime rib roast for Thanksgiving and picked out up today. My timing was good (early afternoon), they were well staffed so there was just a few minutes wait.

I want to laud Lunardi's in Burlingame for their superb customer service today. I had an issue with a new card with a zero balance that kept being declined even though my bank was showing it as active. Lunardi's employees were most gracious in their attempts to assist. They went so far as to dedicate one cashier to assist me while I was on the phone with the bank. It took almost an hour for the bank to correct the issue as we followed the bank's instructions each time they told me to put it through. I can't recall the last time I ever saw customer service like this. All of the employees were so polite, cheerful and patient throughout the process. Thank you, thank you so much!!

Not sure why ratings are so low here. Yes, it isn't a Safeway. If you want that, go there. it has less of a variety than a Safeway, and more expensive, but the quality is pretty good. I mostly go for the deli and the meat department. Not the seafood, which is just so-so. Veggies and fruit ok. Depends on what you are buying. I tried Pape meats but honestly, I think that this particular Lunardis is better. so, I go here for deli, meat, and veggies. Safeway for the other stuff. And yes, some of the staff are a little "off". But none of the shops have perfect staff. The reason why I'm rating them only a 4 is a personal one. They seem to want to give me senior discounts. I think it's 65 and over? hello Lunardis....I'm not close to being 65. Maybe you're trying to be nice but it's frankly insulting. Let people ask for it.

Beware of price gouging. Certain items are way beyond anywhere. Example, Michter's Bourbon. $66 at Lunardis. $45 at BevMo. Eggs also can be way over priced. Also, it seems they are elevating young employees but without the proper training. Lunardis was at one time a very classy grocer. But it seems a bit less so and the customer service has gone way down. So many times while checking out I'm bombarded by employee complaints or they don't even care.

Great market. Always clean and stocked. Love their butcher shop , deli counter, and produce area. They are a little pricey, but for the convenience it's worth it.

Just disappointed how I was treated. I had an assignment around milbrea and could not wait to eat lunch because of little lucca. Finally the time had come and waited a good 15 min in line and the male server finally open and ignored me when he ask who was next and picked out who ever he wanted. I raised my hand to even get his attention but he jus ignored me. Finally I spoke up and said I was next and he looked at me as if I was stating trouble. I was so pissed at wanting so bad to go there but to get treated like crap when I arrived that I just left. But that was a blessing in disguise's! I went next door to the grocery store Lunardi's and they had a deli there and the sandwich they made was so delicious! As I was eating the sandwich walking out the store I went back inside little lucca and told the manager and pointed out the rude guy and the manager didn't even care. They are so popular that they have become arrogant. Forget this place! Go to Lunardi's next door and eat the best sandwich in the great looking store!

This place is great if you got a little extra money to spend. I am comparing to Safeway. The produce and meat is much better quality and always fresh. The workers are all experts in what they sell if you have questions about cooking your dinner or picking the right produce. The workers pretty much know most the customers and they hire kids to bag the groceries which I like because kids need to learn to work and save money for college especially these days. Also they are always fully stocked unlike Safeway and the lines are never as long even during the rush. Just expect to pay about 15-25% more so I would focus on the fresh foods like meats, dairy and produce because they are worth the extra price. If you are going to buy regular groceries you will get a little ripped off but at least you are supporting a more local type business even if it isn't mom and pop anymore like how it started.

You know what is so sad about this place? The Manager. I watched him organize a shelf that didn't need to be organized while 5 people waited in line. Mind you he was within 2 feet of the line. This isn't my first interaction with him it's actually my 3rd and I am always blown away he is on the clock dilly dallying around. This is a great grocery store but apparently upper management hasn't taught this man how to lead by example. Pretty unfortunate however the cashiers are amazing.
