I've never been here before but i was taking my dog for a walk just now during the shelter in place and I (and especially my dog Zero) wanted to thank Luxe for leaving out water and cookies for all the pups out there!! Love this Burlingame community and I plan on coming back to support them when this is lifted.

Luxe is a fantastic salon with excellent hair stylists and a clean, fun, atmosphere. My stylist, Erica has a an artists eye and she has hands down given me the best haircuts ever. She keeps my long hair soft and in perfect shape with frequent trims. I would highly recommend this salon!

Questionable business ethics. This salon lied to me about the brand of their keratin treatment. There are various keratin treatment brands. In their window, they advertise they do "Coppola Keratin". This is my desired brand. I used to get this brand regularly for years and then took a break the past year. It's become harder to find these past few years though. I contacted the salon to make and appt and verify that they again do Coppola Keratin treatments. Erica confirms that they do. I make the appt. I travel from Oakland to Burlingame for it because that brand is that important to me. As she is applying it, I notice the scent and other aspects are not quite the same. The scent for Coppola is very distinctive. My eyes also usually sting ever so slightly from it when hair falls across my eyes/face that first 24-48 hours which was not happening. Erica tells me that have reformulated things which sounds plausible enough. When I go to buy the shampoo and conditioner to maintain the keratin, I notice the bottles do not look right either. Again I am told they they have been repackaged. I cannot see Coppola on them either but Erica tells me not to worry. The next few days coming home and washing my hair, it's not acting/smelling like the Coppola treaments I have had in the past. I cannot shake the niggling feeling it was not a Coppola. I end up googling the Coppola website to see that the packaging is still the same white bottles. And further googling shows me that the blue bottles I bought belong to a brand called "Keratin Complex". Salons do not do multiple brands; it's too expensive from a training/operations/etc perspective especially for a tiny salon like this one. Basically, all suggestions point to my treatment with the "Keratin Complex" brand vs the "Coppola Brand". I contact Erica telling her I am unhappy with being deceived. She then plays d*** and claims that maybe they switched brands but she is not sure. That is a lie. If I can tell so easily, as a non professional, she as a professional stylist would also know. Lastly, I contact Coppola directly about this salon. They have since confirmed to me via email that they do not sell to this salon. In short, they lied about their Keratin brand being Coppola to get me in figuring I would not find out. Appalling business ethics.
