This is the salon to go to in Burlingame! You can call the business directly to book appointments and they are so quick and responsive. Everyone is so kind and welcoming! Technique and skills are amazing and service even better! Best cut and color!It's refreshing to get such great customer service and care, especially after such a bad hair salon experience. Lana gave me the edgy blunt bob haircut of my dreams. She's incredibly talented, detail-oriented, and just a joy to be around! I can tell she takes her craft seriously when she told me to uncross my leg so that my shoulders would be level for the haircut. Otherwise, I'd walk out of the salon with an uneven bob. Not the worst thing, but not the look I'm going for.
I learned about Nabi Modern Salon from a friend who gets her hair colored by Su. She has the most perfect Balayage and even when we go camping, her hair looks like she just walked out of a salon.
Highly recommend Nabi Modern Salon for cut and color.

I go here every two or three months to get myself put together on the dome piece and come out with a great haircut each time. Sue and the rest of her crew are super awesome and I highly recommend them to everyone.

You need to book 3 months in advance, and they don’t send reminders or anything. If you missed it and want a reschedule, they charge you $50.

Vanessa is amazing!! I just had double balayage and a cut. She is such a professional and highly skilled at what she does. She helped to explain things as I was not familiar with the double balayage process. Very patient, kind and gracious. I look forward to my next cut with her and I've already set up a lash lift appt at Aria Beauty Bar right next door under the same company.

Lana was AMAZING. She delivered an amazing cut and red highlights which I LOVE, she even recommended some great products for my hair type. I also had my baby son with me and she was amazing with him! Can’t recommend her enough. Sue was also incredible, she was so welcoming and provided me with a curtain for privacy since I wear a headscarf, made me and my son feel very comfortable. Thank you both!!

Thanks for your response -- I can make it 2 stars and here is some additional feedback-- The haircut within less than a week looked ragged n not like it was styled well. Good haircuts look good even as they grown out. But mine looked likes like there is no style at all. A similar cut could have been obtained at Supercuts. Yes my mom seemed a little more pleased as she left the salon.. but as I said, not anything to rave about after waiting for almost 2 months for an appointment for a cut.

I've been a client of Su's for 8 years and absolutely love her and her team! When I moved from SF to the peninsula I wasn't sure if I could find a stylist I love here, and thank goodness I found Nabi. Anyone who works with Su knows that she, Vanessa, and the rest of her team are top notch and bring tremendous skill and dedication to their work. But beyond that, they truly care about their clients. They are always so kind and thoughtful, and go above and beyond in every way. My husband and sister are now loyal Nabi clients, and my mom is even considering driving down from SF just to work with Su. Su and her team are the best!

I appreciate everyone on the Nabi/Aria Beauty Bar teams for always being accommodating, kind and professional. Vance deserves a special shoutout for the AMAZING work he does -- not to mention his vast skillset! I've tried it all with him -- blonde, platinum, dark brunette, a balayage with a statement piece, curtain bangs, straight across bangs, layering and extensions... I wouldn't trust anyone but Vance and his assistant Lana to help me. He's always made my hair dreams come true and is good at setting the proper outcome expectations to avoid any surprises (I take big risks as you can see in my photos lol). If you're looking for any of these services, I'd recommend you visit Vance for a consultation. Not to mention the area is super cute. I've never really had trouble parking close to the shop entrance, but be careful on weekends since the shops are located right downtown. Spots fill up fast.
