Def a store to check out if you are on the Ave. Employees are super sweet and helpful. Their Jewelry selection is exceptional. They also have their own clothing line I plan to purchase on my next visit.

Informed and friendly customer service.
Everytime I visit the salesperson is friendly, engaging, and helpful. They create a shopping experience, rather than just assist you with a purchase. Its refreshing, I am glad to see there are stores that still value customer engagement.

I am in love with EVERYTHING at Reliance and need to remember to share each piece in a review :-).
At the meta level, Sarah and her crew are honest and fun and simply fantastic! It’s so refreshing to experience such down to earth happiness and care when I walk in the shop.
My most recent purchases were the Rocker Crews. Here are my thoughts on this amazing product:
The Rocker Crew is a solid, well-made comfortable piece but beautiful at the same time. A closet staple.
The color is vibrant but subtle.
I purchased the gray and then went back to purchase the other colors. They wash well. I wash on cold and line dry then tidy them up with a quick spin in the dryer.
I highly recommend the Rocker Crew! And Reliance!

Simple, comfy, yet stylish!Love their simple crewnecks. It is our family UNIFORM~ I got some PJ set for my friends as Christmas presents and they love it so much! My friend actually go to the store to get more for her family. As rewards, I got a PJ set from her as BDAY gift. LOVE it!

The quality of the clothing is UNMATCHED-- the clothes I've bought here are my now my closet staples. The store supports local vendors and offers a great selection for men and women, especially if you're looking to break out of the fast-fashion cycle and refresh your wardrobe. Owner is awesome and puts a lot of care into every interaction. Support local and woman-owned businesses!!

I started shopping here when the store opened. I was very happy to find a small, independent WOMAN owned business and actually support a real person, not a giant big box company. I was even happier when I realized I could do my entire list of Christmas and birthday gifts here- the nicely curated stock of mens and womens (and the fact that a lot of it can be swapped- I wear a men's coat from here that I LOVE) is my favorite thing about this place. Reliance also carries a really nice assortment of household accessories- my favorite candles for gifts are made from recycled wine bottles and my most favorite travel thermos have been gifts to many different friends and family. Something I was surprised to find also was the really nice assortment of jewelry! Beyond that, supporting a small business with friendly, knowledgable local staff is extremely hard to find anywhere- I really appreciate the fact that most every time I'm in I'm talking to the owner/buyer HERSELF. Compare that with my experience 5 min later at Banana Republic: the salesperson didn't know what I was asking about (the outfit in the front window) she had no idea where it could be found in the store (it couldn't- online only) she had no idea what colors it came in and made no attempt to even try to guess my size. She just grabbed what her hands touched and showed it to me. It was off by 5 sizes atleast.

Very sad and negative experience. Can firmly say that this was my last visit to this store and this is after a relatively long term experience and a lot of $$ spent in this store. All I needed is to exchange an item. The person pretending to help me absolutely refused to do that citing a policy of the store that allows one to exchange an item within 30 days, and I was just over this time line. I explained that I just need a different size of the same item and was going to buy a few other things. The answer was a firm and cold NO. I tried to discuss the option of store credit - answer NO. I left the store without buying anything and will never step inside it again. And the funny part was that this store was empty. No customers to start with, yet they treated me like garbage.Well, guess what? Not only that they lost a customer, but I will make sure to share my experience "far and wide", with this little note being an example of what my comments will look like.

I had the most incredible experience shopping at this store. I've traditionally had a tough time finding clothes I love and feel confident in and the manager of the store spent extra time trying to find pieces that I would feel confident and comfortable in and was really patient and SO helpful. I LOVE THIS STORE. It was one of the best customer experiences I've had and it is a must stop for me now whenever I'm on Burlingame Ave!!!!

I looove this wonderful small local woman-owned business, can't say enough good things about Reliance!! Friendly and helpful staff & beautifully curated selections of really nice quality and unique pieces of clothing as well as solid everyday basics. I get compliments every time I wear one of my pullovers from here, and I also got a "I'm very tired but need to look put together" cute cozy cardigan that never fails.I've also gotten multiple very successful gifts at Reliance -- highly recommend this store for gift shopping. The beanies in particular were great gifts that are well-used by my boyfriend and my brother, and they have tons of pretty jewelry, candles, quality water bottles and such.
