I love this place thay are friendly as long as you know how bad thay have it over worked and under paid .the best day to go is Friday or Saturday right after thay ship on Thursday. It's not there folt that corporate treats them like pee ons .

Remodeled July 2025. Best improvement in-store with customers' shopping experience, more inventory & design! Checking out is easier & a few cashiers excel in customer service & assistance with the DG mobile app! Wi-Fi or IT networking isn't reliable.

Inexpensive pricing. Staff is courteous. Negative: no matter the day or time, merchandise to be stocked always blocking the narrow aisles.

The store is centrally located within the town itself. Great customer service and a knowledgeable staff. Although, most of the product is not stocked and still in bins on the floor. Otherwise, I would recommend this place. Especially if you are looking for inexpensive items

The sales person called me a liar when I tried to return an empty propane bottle I had just purchased 20 minutes earlier. The bottle was supposed to be full, but wasn't. She claimed it was not her propane bottle because I had removed the ugly Amerigas label. She was rude, belligerent and nasty. Don't shop here.

If this was the only store on the planet and I was on my deathbed, I wouldn't spend a minute or a dime in this store. Its filthy and the customer service is non-existent. The aisles are cluttered with boxes and merchandise and the shelves are messy and unorganized. But one of the more abhorrent policies is that they often will require cash only for payment. I'm guessing it's their cheapness to pay the debit/credit card fees. In our society very few people carry cash, so a store that will only deal in "cash only" is limiting their customer base. If you really want to patronize a Dollar General, then drive over to the next town, which is Fall River. That store is night and day to the Burney store. Plus, its clean and well organized and they know the meaning of customer service.
