This is the worst company to do business with. If you see anything with Maverick Payments do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can. Do not sign with them unless you want to be ripped off. After running payments for 3 1/2 months with a 10% reserve and zero chargebacks, they decided to hold onto 100% of my funds I processed. Now if I didn’t notice the last 4 batches did not hit my business account, I would have kept running more payments and Maverick Payments would have held onto more of the businesses money. Maverick payments did not inform me they were going to keep 100% of my funds for 180 days. It shows how unethical they are. I had to create a ticket which took them 5 days to respond back. They try to remove every bad review they can on Google reviews. The score on here would match the BBB score which is 1.33 out of 5 but yet they have an A rating. That’s because they pay BBB to give them an A rating even though their score is the worst in the industry. Also look up their Yelp reviews. I have already obtain a law firm to take further legal action and help other business in a similar situation as me.

You thought stripe treated you poorly? Just wait till you start working with Maverick.
This is THE WORST payment processor I have ever delt with in my 20+ years of business. Any time you have an issue with your account or processing and open a ticket...
Their extremely rude, passive aggressive employees intentionally give you the shortest, least helpful response they possible can.
They treat you as if your business is their biggest burden.
Additionally, their random reserve hikes are completely unethical, and refused to be explained.
And yes, they will try and reply to this comment and say "you don't even have an account with us"
Well, I'm very intentionally hiding my identity in this review to avoid these crooks stealing MORE money from me while I'm transferring off their processing. So I've attached proof that I have an active acquiring account with them.
After I fully transfer my processing away from maverick, I will release an entire expose showcasing how poorly they treat their customers.
You have been warned.

Your company DOES NOT pride itself on excellent customer service. You in fact give the WORST customer service experience I've ever had with a merchant / processor relationship. We are pulling all of our processing from your garbage company and I can't wait to expose how terrible you treat your customers.

I have experienced quite a bit of help from their Merchant services department on many occasions. They have helped walk me through all the questions regarding my account and worked with me to better understand the process. Natalie in was a huge help!

I have been processing on Maverick payments for about 3 to 4 months now.
I was processing previously on Square and on Stripe. They both terminated my account with no warning and held my funds for months, they both then Ignored all phone calls, and support emails I sent to them.
So far Maverick has been great. I have a direct line of contact with a representative there Steve, who is very helpful and always gets back to me promptly.
My processing fee is lower than what it was with Stripe or Square. The dashboard is simple and easy to use, Although sometimes pulling data can be confusing.
Tech/ phone support is good, not amazing, But if you have an issue that they cannot help you with you can always reach out to your representative, and they will help you.
Overall, I’ve been very happy with Maverick, they have a great business with great employees. Some of the Google reviews are a bit concerning, but when you look at the replies, it seems that most of them lie fault with the merchant and not maverick. Also, at least Maverick responds to all the negative reviews, unlike Stripe and Square, which will ghost you entirely.

The service level I've received as a merchant is second-to-none. I recently switched over from a long-time provider and was very nervous that I would not get good service -- but the communication level, knowledge level, and proactive solutions have been impressive.

As a telehealth provider, we had a highly negative experience with Maverick Payments. They banned our account without any notice or chargebacks, claiming we were breaking Visa and Mastercard rules due to our online prescription services. This is patently false, as we are LegitScript certified, which means we are approved by Visa and Mastercard. Only LegitScript certification holders can have a merchant account for telehealth treatments involving no card present transactions. Maverick also mistakenly listed us as an online pharmacy when we are solely the doctor arm of our practice.
Despite having our attorney write a detailed response debunking their claims, Maverick has ignored our attempts to resolve the issue and is holding our funds, effectively stealing from us. Business owners should beware of Maverick Payments. They are not educated on the most current rules and standards for merchant processing and have terrible customer service. We strongly advise against doing business with them.
June 28th UPDATE!
In your response, you stated that you identified our business as a card-not-present pharmacy merchant that processes transactions for prescription products without proper medical consultation or prescriptions. However, this assessment is inaccurate and fails to consider the actual practices of our company.
First and foremost, we do not collect payments prior to purchase. Like other reputable businesses in our industry, we preauthorize payments to ensure the validity of the transaction. If you had taken the time to contact us and discuss your concerns, we would have gladly provided you with this information and worked towards resolving any issues you perceived. Instead, you chose to abruptly shut down our account, causing significant disruption to our business operations.
Business owners should be aware that Maverick Payment appears to make decisions without gathering all the necessary facts. They have demonstrated very poor business practices by failing to reach out to us before taking such drastic action. I strongly advise any online business owner to think twice before entrusting their payment processing needs to Maverick, as they have shown a clear lack of due diligence and communication.
Furthermore, we have noticed that there are funds missing from our account, and as our payment processor, you are responsible for ensuring the proper handling of these transactions. Since you have failed to address this issue and have not provided any clarity on the matter, we have no choice but to escalate this situation. Our legal counsel will be tasked with proving these points in court, as it seems that this is the only way to resolve the matter and recover our missing funds.
