“I love the customer-facing staff here. They’re energetic, helpful, and friendly, all of which is rare for Ralphs’s staff.
On the other hand, the back end staff—stockers et al—are not doing the best they could. There are often discarded items on the shelves. More importantly, I’ve found expired stock and items infested with bugs. BUGS!!! I placed a pick-up order and received a bag of bell peppers that expired two months prior, and one was moldy.
The pros of shopping here outweigh the cons, however. The produce is well stocked, and there are plenty of offerings. I just avoid the deli bread, and I check the expiry dates on all food that goes into my cart.

“The team at my neighborhood Aldi is nothing short of AMAZING. Their helpfulness and warm personalities keep me coming back time and time again. Manager Eric is incredibly sweet and always goes above and beyond to help.
There’s also a cashier—I wish I remembered his name—who is not only efficient, but absolutely hilarious and, most importantly, kind. Every time my mother visits from New Jersey, he remembers her and even brings up something from her last trip. That kind of attention to detail and genuine care is so rare.
The folks at this Aldi create such a nostalgic, heartwarming sense of community.”
“It’s a decent market with excellent jerky and a good deli. Staff is usually helpful. The other people who shop there are most likely going to sneeze or cough into their hands and then go remove what they want of grapes out of a bag and put the rest back or pick up other produce and then put it back tainted, so thoroughly wash your fruit. Plus their organic apples 6-10 times have browning and rot issues. Still all in n all a quality place.”

“Very happy I finally came in here to get some kosher meat and some frozen chicken nuggets that are kosher for my kids. Very clean, doesn't have that stinky smell that butcher shops usually have. Very friendly staff and organized. I was very happy with the generous amount of chicken they give for their schnitzel. I saw the meat was also fresh! I will try their other meat next time I go in. Will definitely be back and recommend to other friends! They also let me know they have Shabbat dinners prepared for friday evening which I loved. I also love how they have a whole oven roasted chicken to take home that's kosher. Love this little gem that's close to my home!”

They have this manager in this location named Vanessa. She is completely rude. She opened up a line we put our things down to be scanned then she says it’s cash only which is not identified on the sign been here so many times I know better she is only gonna be here for two weeks. Thank God if she’s the one you send around to make sure locations are doing well she is the worst person I’ve ever met in the store, I will be going back one bad experience is not bad but she is extremely horrible customer service rude to everybody. “Very good, large supermarket with (almost) everything your heart desires. Very good quality for normal prices, a lot of different brands and foods of different kinds, some Arabic and Persian foods and breads, etc. Also soy products and almond milk and the like, but unfortunately no lactose-free yogurt and no lactose-free cheese. Of course, card payment and parking. Employees are nice but unfortunately not competent at all. They didn't even know that lactose-free yogurt existed. They don't know what they have or what they don't have. Therefore 4 stars.”
“Vallarta is a great place to shop. They have so many products you just can't find at a place like Vons or Ralph's.
Obviously, the Tortillas are incredible, and fresh. The selection of masa is huge as well if you're inclined to make your own. The baked goods are amazing: both Mexican pastries & conchas, as well as quality cakes and fruit tarts.
One of my favorite things about Vallarta is the meat department. There is so much less waste than American grocers. You can get pig ears, soup bones, chicken feet - all the off cuts that you need for some recipes but are otherwise hard to find, and I love that.
Top it off with a massive produce section and a delightful prepared foods area, and really I think the theme is a commitment to freshness and quality.
Vallarta is a market that makes me happy when I shop there, and if you love to cook, I think you'll feel the same.”
