This is for the plane graveyard next to the airport. Super cool photography, but something macabre about it. I mean, logically you know these aren't from crashes that people died in - but still, it feels like ghosts are lurking!

We stopped at California City after camping and sightseeing around the Death Valley region as it was the first available fuel stop arriving from that area. It was a Saturday evening and the airport was dead quiet. We weren’t able to get the 100LL pump to work and noted there was a credit card receipt for less than $1 in the self-serve printer from more than a week prior so apparently we weren’t the first. Fortunately we checked our fuel status and we had a sufficient quantity to hop over to Rosamond Airpark. I contacted the friendly airport manager the following Monday and he confirmed that the pumps can be unreliable when unattended. Keep that in mind for your planning!
