CAL MART is the main local grocery in Calistoga. It is a lovely local store with a decent selection of products for general needs, including excellent meat, great cheeses, nice produce, and mustards. Visitors can find oodles of local options and even sugar-free items. The staff is very nice, especially the sandwich makers. Many recommend the place, noting the excellent charcuterie plates, nice wine selection, and excellent clam chowder. The interiors are a bit dated but reflect the small-town feel. It is a great spot to save money and find what one needs.

I have yet to try their produce, or in fact buy anything at all. However, their public restroom is fantastic. It is well stocked with toilet paper, sanitary seat covers, soap, and paper towels. And the toilet—it has a flush like a jet engine; it easily whisks away all forms of matter with the force of a great typhoon.... read full comment

Must be nice being able to shop here. Almost all of the products sold here are local from Napa / Sonoma area. The Sonoma strawberry kefir is delicious.
