Scammers. They give bad quotes and then up the price on moving day. They also choose moving day to disclose all sorts. Of extra charges like surplus fuel or fragile care. Then if you actually go with them they hold your goods until you pay more hidden charges. STAY AWAY.

One of the best companies I've worked for in the past and also hired for my move in the past and I am shocked by the allegations and some fake pictures posted here! This is the most honest and reliable company I've ever worked for and hired, not like most moving companies who abuse the system. People use to assume every company is a fraud and give their owners and their employers a hard time. It's a stressful job, but there is nothing this company that they never solved and made sure their clients come first! During the move items can be damaged and break, this is why every company offers insurance. No matter what David does, he does it from the bottom of his heart and care. It's sad when people spread lies because they misunderstand the extra costs for packing materials. They never pack or do an unprofessional job. Their packing style is clean and made to protect clients goods. If they're still in business, I will highly recommend them and use them for my future moves again.

I hired this company thru agency with clear direction to load 300CF, David sent 3 person to load my stuff but they wanted to check the load again , although my load was not 300CF but he wanted me to charge almost double what was priced at beginning , I have told him just load the 300CF and the rest I will trash the rest but these people are not listening and not acting professional and even they are not talking appropriately and with no justification he wanted to add extra charge like 80% additional . when I ask David why you are not follow the agreement he just refused and said don't waste my time , pay me extra or I leave nowas summary please DONT USE THIS COMPANY , David and his teams are just trying to get more money for nothing and they are wasting your time and money.

David Kohanim moved me from mainland to Hawaii. Multiple things broken and missing. He has inadequate insurance which doesn't cover over water moves. David Kohanim operates under multiple mover names (A City Mover, call me Van Line, Hawaiian Island movers, Virgin moving and Storage, and prob many others) and different DOT numbers. He claims he moved me under (dot 2526974) hiding under name Success trucking but known to public as Virgin Moving and Storage. I hired him and he was known to me as Hawaiian Island Movers. After 2 and a half months of waiting for my belongings, a subcontracted mover showed up at my door with only part of my belongings and took the remaining balance for my move. Only then did he disclose that the rest of my goods would be arriving via DHX, a shipping company, in 2 days. I filed a police report and only had 1,000 cash returned so now this guy had 11,600 of my money and I had missing furniture and goods and a scratched up filthy motorcycle that was supposed to be crated and wasn't. Later on that week, I went with a friends truck and was able to get the shipping company to release the giant pallet with my items after a long wait and signing some bogus letter that would release David from liability. After unloading the truck I realized more stuff damaged and items missing. I tried to file a claim but the insurance company says that they do not cover over water moves so now I can't even file a claim because he has inadequate insurance which seems illegal to me if he is moving people to Hawaii. This whole move has been a nightmare and a shakedown from beginning to end. He has complete disregard for me or my belongings. He only wants to see how he can make the most money of you while getting your goods to you the cheapest possible way. Even if it means long wait times, losing or breaking your stuff. Run away from this guy and save your sanity. Look up his other moving names and see the type human being he really is.

Zero stars and punch in the face for these scammers. Nicole, who works for David, started me off with an inaccurate quote over the phone. I asked if she would want to do a video call so she could see exactly what was in my one bedroom apt and she said she didn't need to. In the end she said from my description it was 600 sq feet. June 12, when the movers arrived, I was told there was 200 more Sq foot than originally quoted. She claims because she assumed they were all small boxes. I accepted to pay difference because they were there and I was flying out to my new home in Hawai'i the next day. But that wasn't it. Even though it wasn't stated in the contract, the movers tried to charge me extra for a fuel surcharge, packing material, and an elevator long carry. So everything was a battle with these movers from the start, 2 weeks after I get to Oahu, my company relocated me to Maui. I asked for a quote of the difference and David the owner/dispatcher says another 4K on top of the 8600 to move my move to a neighboring Hawaiian island. He has my stuff already so not much of an option there and I agree to pay the difference. July 3rd, David sends me a shady email with bank wire info asking for the 4K so he can ship my stuff out. What? My stuff has been sitting in the Long Beach in some warehouse for 2 weeks. I wire him the 4K same day. July 21st, he emails again to ask for the remaining 3500 of the cost of my move because Matson supposedly changed the rules overnight and they want payment upfront. At this point, over a month later and he still has not shipped my stuff and now he wants all money upfront. I argued and refused and he finally said he would ship out my belongings August 6th and my stuff would arrive in another 10-14 days. My contract says my stuff would be delivered within 45 business days. So here I am 9 weeks later and (part) my stuff has been sitting in a port on Maui for over a week. He lied about having a warehouse and company movers located on Maui. Multiple things broken and missing. He has inadequate insurance which doesn't cover over water moves. David Kohanim operates under multiple mover names (A City Mover, Hawaiian Island movers, Virgin moving and Storage, and prob many others) and different DOT numbers. They gave us a quote and I made a $400 deposit to initiate the move. When they picked up the furniture from the storage, they changed the amount of money I had to pay. They went from $2,000 to $10,000. A $8,000 increase that I couldn’t pay. I was in Canada, so I was handling the move the best I could over the phone. Since I couldn’t commit to pay the whole amount of $10,000, the driver and the manager said they will hold my furniture until I paid it all.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! The owner, David Cohanim is a thief and he will extort money from you. He is a scam artist and has different companies under different names, BBB Moving & Storage, Success Trucking Inc., Interstate Movers of America, Titan Van Lines are all affiliated and they are fraudulent companies. They will give you quote over the phone, once they show up and load all your belongings they will jack up the price and require you to give them part of the money in the form of a cashiers check or cash so there is little you can do to get your money back. Since they already loaded your things onto their truck if you disagree with the price they will hold your things until you pay. If you continue with the move they will raise the price again. By the time they get to the location where your stuff is to be delivered they have already extorted thousands of dollars from you and it will not stop there. They will also go through your belongings and steal anything of value before they do final delivery. Once they arrive to deliver they will require more money to return your things and if you don't pay they will hold your load hostage and threaten to sell your belongings if you don't pay whatever amount David wants. By the time it's all over you're missing valuables, your furniture is damaged and broken, and you will have been extorted over $10,000. I cannot stress enough how fraudulent these companies are and what an awful coward David is. Please save yourself a ton a trouble and do not do business with them. Spread the word!! Share this review!! Do your research and you will find tons of reviews from people who have had the misfortune of dealing with David.

Their driver hit my car and claims he did not. Talked to manager or owner David and said the date they hit me was a holiday and they were not driving. What holiday is on September 18th. They have no insurance that I am finding out. So your product will not be covered.
