I used the location in Huntsville, AL. People working there were friendly and did a great job replacing my windshield apart from some glass shards I found in my car upon completion. The main reason I am giving Safelite (not the Huntsville location, just as a business in general) a 3 out of 5 stars is due to the quality of the glass they install. This will be the second time I will have to replace the windshield on my Equinox. I do not tailgate and I keep substantial distance behind any/all vehicles I drive behind. However, their glass seems to crack and break faster than that of the factory installed windshields of any other vehicle I have had before. Definitely recommend using another auto glass company as most near me are also cheaper.

I just want to say that I'm disappointed by the Ad on TV. They imply it's free to have your windshield replaced, and when mine cracked, my friends told me that it would be replaced for free, because they believed the ad too. Well, I believed them because I have a pretty good insurance policy. I have to pay $100, that is the deductible cost on my insurance plan. I don't think very many people pay more for their insurance than I do. We're all encouraged to pay "only what we need." .. until we have to pay the real price for a problem. I haven't had it done yet, but right now they only get three stars for that deceiving Ad.

Technician installed a cracked windshield and told me I had to wait two weeks before they could install a new one so the glue could cure before they removed it again. Called to make an appointment near the two week mark only to have them call back a couple days later saying they had to cancel because they had no windshield in stock. The store manager tried to explain just in time order etc but was u willing to refund my deductible because he said the insurance company wouldn’t allow it. Taking no responsibility for his employee actions.

Safelite glass needs to change slogan. Called to fix our truck windshield. Their don't service that area. We can't come to you (as their slogan claims) we'll call you back they say three days ago. I'm pretty sure I will have ANY other window repair shop fix my window. I will not do business with Safelite.

I contacted them twice via their website form and they refuse to reply. Horrible customer service. Also they force you to have your cars camera recalibrated by them. Which they charge $600, but the dealer charges $400. And they don't allow you to take your car somewhere else to have it recalibrated yourself.

you can tell a lot about a company when something goes wrong- some companies fix their mistakes, others run from them- our experience is safelite dodges calls, does not return calls, does not follow up and basically ignores you when they made a mistake and tore some wires that connect to our airbag systems and now they are not returning calls and giving us the run around. our car is pretty new and the car dealer looked at it and said that it was done when they took the windshield out. its terrible when people don't own up to their mistakes. I also understand that a new technician had made three other mistakes that same day.... terrible service and I will let USAA know that their partner in windshields has let us down.

My first appointment was cancelled due to part being order as they stated. The second appointment the worker came out with the wrong part and then had to schedule another appointment for the right part. Agents called several times asking for Vin number on my vehicle I provided the vin. Never heard anything else from them until I called on myself today June 7,2021 to find out they had scheduled me an appt. for June 5,2021 which they never informed me of and had been deleted. The agent (Lundy) I spoke with did not give good customer service because when I told her that I was never informed of an appointment but she just stated "We would never scheduled an appointment without speaking to customer" as if I was lying. Then she went back and forward with me about a safelite shop being located in town of Tallahassee when I went on their website a seen the only one close was Midway, FL which is outside of Tallahassee,FL. I've been going through this since May 14th and nothing resolved. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!

Safelite's windshield "repair" made my windshield's damage visibly worse! I had about an inch long fine line crack in my windshield and by the time their technician was done with it, it had devolved into a star-like series of cracks. The technician acknowledged that it looked worse after he finished his work, but the good news is that they could use this payment towards replacing the whole windshield. What a scam!! You have a small damage and they come and make it bigger so that you have to buy a new windshield?! I should not have to pay for this kind of "service", which Safelite forced me to pre-pay before booking my appointment. I called to complain about it, and it took over 1 hour and 30 minutes on hold on the phone before one of their representatives responded to my complaint and said that refunds were not available. Terrible! If you want to repair a crack in your windshield, do NOT go to Safelite!

I had one of their technician come out to fix my window after he left I went out there to wipe my car down and my car wouldn't start. So I called him back and let him know what had happen. And he said when he left my car was working fine. That was it so he was basically saying F Y figure it out on your own. Left me with all my windows down, cause my car won't start. So I had to call AAA for somebody to come out and take a look at my car and figure out what was wrong. Come to find out he left something on while he was working on my car and it killed my battery. So if I were you go somewhere else don't waste your time or money with these people. I will never do business with these people ever again.

Safelite misleaded me that they will come on schedule time. I cancelled my business appointment and kids doctors appointment because of this company. After multiple text which they also made money from it, no body showed up on time. Customer service was very rude. Safelife moved my schedule 5 days ahead without notifying me. I found out from the direct company assigned to do my windshield that they do not have my windshield in stock. Why made me pay? They took my money, time and misleaded us. Worst of all their customer service are very rude... They blamed me and my wife for not answering any phone calls after multiple text messages they sent us having to confirmed our appointment. Please help, this company would not refund my money either. Please warned all consumers to stay away from these obnoxious, rude company.

Safelite replace my windshield with a new? windshield that was already chipped. I made the mistake of giving them a check before I noticed the damage. Now they want to turn it in as a warranty repair instead of promptly replacing the windshield with a new undamaged one. Stay tuned.

Someone broke my window in September 2020, and *********** recommended Safelite. It is May 2021, and the issue is still not resolved. I had to visit the Safelite location near my home (a 30 minute drive) at least six times (maybe more?), and my window is still a mess. I experienced all of the following: -Broken glass installed in my window -Faulty regulator installed in my window -Regulator ordered but had not arrived -Wrong part ordered -Regulator installed snapped -Wrong piece of glass installed It has been a NIGHTMARE, and that is an understatement. My window currently is rolled up, but whenever I roll it down, it makes a cracking noise. I am just waiting for it to break again. I will NEVER go to Safelite again. This place is a complete joke.

Absolutely one of the most corrupt businesses that I have ever had to deal with. Payment system is purposely made to be as difficult as possible. No responses to emails and no phone number to get anyone to answer

My husband took our 2020 VW to get a cracked windshield replaced. He waited for over an hour only to learn they did not have our windshield in stock because it is a heated windshield. He was told that it would be ordered and we would be contacted when it came in. My husband was upset because he waited for so long for something that should have been easy for them to tell him when they took our vehicle. We had not heard from Safelite for over two weeks and my husband decide to reach out to them to see where they were in the process of ordering our windshield. The representative he spoke with told him that he and been contacted and had told the representative that we decided not to have the windshield repaired. NO ONE called my husband!! We have to get this replaced as the crack would likely interfere with the vehicle passing inspections in the future. We plan to reach out to our insurance company after the vehicle is fixed, my husband is worried they will intentionally do a poor job with installing the windshield if there is a complaint.
