I have banked with Unify for 20+ years. No monthly fee accounts are great! A big improvement over the big banks.Unlike a previous reviewer who said that he had trouble setting up a trust account, we have had a trust account there for many years.

Particular customer reps are great but downside is they offer no real business benefits and a couple of representatives might have great repertoire with you but don't count on anyone else. Also, limited number of branches doesn't help.

Extremely unprofessional managerial decisions causing an unnecessary Horrible experience to no avail after over an hour trying to get a Simple account.I had 3 documents proving who i am but she refused to be fair. We are disabled seniors who needed an account, but never got one. My wife & I have opened many accounts for different purposes with no issues. If we could give a NO STAR, we would. This branch manager really should apologize to us. Do not go here!

The Ventura office on Victoria Avenue has the nicest most helpful people working there. But when I went into the Camarillo office to close my HELOC account that took me two years to pay off, I was told I had to pay $150... That's not their fault that's a county charge. I was supposed to get paperwork within a day or two... Over a week later nothing. Then someone from unify calls and said they need another $450 and change for pre-payment penalty. $600 plus to close alone??!

I opened up accounts with Unify approximately a year ago. Over this period of time I have learned that much of the new account information given to me by inside the branch representatives was incorrect. Unfortunately, I have had to contact customer service for new account clarification often. Recently, I contacted the 877 phone number asking questions in regards to a zero balance transfer from another financial institution. The information I received from the customer service representative was excellent and I proceeded in submitted an application for the transfer. Through communications with the loan department I found out that the rep. once again didn't give me correct information. Not only did I receive BAD information from the customer service representative, the loan department continued to give me inaccurate information about the account I requested. The first time they denied my application because they didn't completely review my application. After a protest on my part to the rejection the loan department reviewed it for a second time and as I expected approved my application. During an actually conversation with the person in the loan department she told me what the actual APR was. When I objected to the APR and repeated what I was originally told by the original rep., the loan department representative said "He tried his best". "Tried his best", what does that mean? Am I dealing with a reputable financial institution or just a credit union with people that lack knowledge about the institution that represent. They don't seem to adequately train their employees. Do they just give them a manual and expect them to comprehend what is written...my experiences makes me believe they don't. I was with another financial institution for 35 years and never had one issue. Credit Unions aren't necessarily the way to go (Unify). I live in the Southern California area, specifically Ventura County.

Fantastic Service, drove from Calabasas to replace a compromised atm card, and despite the fact that they were in the midst of cleaning up after water damage. And equipment not working they figured out a way to make me a temporary card! Thank you for making my week much easier!

I'm a member of another credit union through my work, my bank is across town. I'm allowed to use the ATM machine at Unify Financial Credit Union. I pulled out $20.00 from the ATM because I owe my daughter $10.00. I took the $20.00 bill in to the lobby to break it to two 10's. They wouldn't break the $20.00 because I'm not a member of that bank. STUPIDEST POLICY EVER!! Not like I was asking them for anything. How hard is it to break a 20 that just came out of their own ATM??

I have had an account there for several years. For the most part, the service has been good. However, they have not been able to set up a new trust account. Local staff does not have authority and HQ staff is confused.
