“Buying a vehicle can sometimes feel stressful, but my experience at Inside Car Guys in Newbury Park ended up being a really positive one.
Right away when I walked up, I could tell this wasn’t the typical used car dealership. The location has a great overall feel and doesn’t come across like one of those stale, high-pressure lots. It felt more relaxed and welcoming, and overall it was just a comfortable place to spend some time while looking for a vehicle.
I ended up buying a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with low miles, and overall I feel like I came away with a very fair deal on the truck.
Like most vehicle purchases, there was the usual back-and-forth negotiation while working through the numbers. That can sometimes get a little tense since the buyer is trying to get the best deal and the seller is trying to make their margin, but that’s just part of the process and there are no hard feelings there.
One thing I liked is that they have their own auto repair shop on-site, and there were people working in the shop while I was there. It gave me the sense that they check the vehicles over and take pride in the condition of the vehicles they sell.
In the end, I’m very happy with the truck and glad I found it there.”

“I went online to obtain a Carmax offer for my car. I accurately completed the questionnaire with the details of my car. The offer I received was very competitive, so I made an appointment the same day with my local Carmax dealer. When I arrived, a person greeted me right when I walked in. This person was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. This person directed me to the next step, in the process: evaluating my car. I handed my key over, and 20 minutes later, the evaluation was completed. All the pics and data this person collected, was presented to the verification team. 30 minutes later, I had my verified offer, in my hand, and the offer was exactly what I was quoted online. I made the decision to sell my car, so they started the transaction process of completing all the paperwork; including DMV vehicle transfer and ownership title transfer. They presented all the documents with everything highlighted where my signature was required and the person clearly explained what I was signing for. After completing all signatures this person handed me a check and asked me if I had a ride home. I said I would call for a car and this person said, we will provide a lyft ride home for you. I said thank you and I was on my way. The entire process was about 90 minutes. This was my first transaction with Carmax and needless to say, the entire experience was very positive. All the teams were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I highly recommend Carmax and commend their teams for making the process seamless and enjoyable. Thank you Carmax.”
