When I moved to Camarillo, I’m so happy that vons only a few blocks from my house, but then a few times I encountered a very rude cashier, I think to myself i will do the self checkout, but sometimes I can’t because I was buying Alcohol, and today again, the lady cashier just rude to me with no reason! I don’t understand why some people so angry!

This particular vons is always out of the Horizon milk, only thing they always have enough of is the Lucerne brand, mostly that's all they have, Secondly never any fresh baked bread or Mr goodpop ice cream, just a favorite of mine and thirdly, aisles are very cramped and not enough room especially in the egg and yogurt section..Fourth the meat dept is very limited on marinated meat etc. and this store just feels dingy and depressing, this store is old you can tell especially if and when the computers freeze on you when your at the cash register, multiple times it's happened to me...just numerous things wrong with this store and lack of inventory makes me want to drive the extra 2 miles to go to the vons on Arneill. Maybe an overhaul, or just moving things around abit, some fresh baked bread and having milk other than Lucerne could make a big difference...

2024 March 28 -- we recently moved to Camarillo, and this is the closest Vons location. Today is my 5th visit, and I usually visit around this time. None of my experiences at this location have been positive.
Today, the shelves are not properly stocked, yet the aisles are filled w boxes of inventory. This mess also made it difficult to move through the aisles.
I asked for assistance locating items, probably 3-4 times from different Vons employees. Not one was able to assist me, and one actually said "if you don't see it there we don't have it."
At the end of my shop, I attempted to get a drink at the Starbucks. An Indian/ Pakistani woman was working that location. As I approached to place my order, she looked at me angrily and walked away. I said to her I'd like to place an order. Her response was that I could wait as she needed to make someone else's order. There was no one else ahead of me, and she walked away. I'd call this RACISM because she clearly did not like the way I looked.

If it wasn't for the online service, we wouldn't use this location at all... the person at self check (Timmy or Tommy) was extremely inattentive. Had to wait for him to finish talking to another employee to assist us. When he did assist I wished it truly was self check because of how bad he smelt. I asked a bag person as we were leaving to speak to a manager. He told us that both people (self check person and other employee with medium length brown hair and beard) we're both the managers. Goodbye Vons!

BEWARE OF EXPIRED FOOD. This Von's has gotten very bad in the last year about selling food very close to and even past the SELL BY DATE and often past the USE BY date. Check all perishables closely - milk, eggs, meat. Just today I found packaged cooked chicken two days past the use-by date and milk two days past the sell-by date. I've never seen a market this bad in this respect.

WORST VONS IN TOWN. Used to be the best, I've been shopping here for 14+ years but ever since they opened self check out and I've used it when in a rush I've had a specific person CONSTANTLY target me as if I were stealing which has made me late to work on several occasions. Maybe they should only allow 15 items or less if that's the concern. Either way I will not be shopping at this vons anymore.

Great Deli, bakery bakes French bread twice a day. Starbucks kiosk. Shop on-line option with reserved parking in front for pick-up. Recently remodeled to include glass cases for dairy section. Employees are friendly and helpful.

The amount of times I've bought meat that doesn't expire for a week and is basically green on the inside is insane. From rotting produce to a large portion of there shelved items being way passed the expiration date, this Vons needs a full revamp. Don't buy the meat from here you will be disappointed like I have been NUMEROUS times.

We moved to Camarillo 5 years ago from Ventura. This Vons has been a huge disappointment on so many levels. The most recent travesty happened yesterday. I just got a puppy and I decided to go pick up my order rather than go inside. I went online, shopped, went with puppy to go pick up groceries. My goal was to make dinner before wife got home. I was met ouside with my delivery. I got home and half of the stuff I ordered was not included. It was listed as out of stock. I waited until wife returned home from work, having not made dinner. I went back to Vons and found all the items that were listed as not in stock. I made manager aware of the situation and they couldn’t have been less helpful. They refunded my 3.95 shopping fee and gave me a 2.00 credit reluctantly as a result of my less than enthusiastic demeanor.They’re prices have gone through the roof. Trader Joes, here I come.

Really like this Vons overall. Yesterday was in line and order was complete and paid by the woman in front of me when she said "oh I forgot the two cases of water in my basket, I need those for the 4 or more to save".. there were 4 people waiting in line, the checker said she would need to refund her money, re-ring all the items that had to be un-bagged. What was frustrating was the checker kept telling the woman that this happens all the time...at no time did the checker acknowledge the customers in line that were now frustrated and 2 left the line. When I got up to check out she did not acknowledge me, greet me or bag my items and basically threw my receipt at me. There is a decorum that people need to be aware of what is going on around them and to acknowledge...it would have been nice from the inconsiderate customer and the checker..and in the end what was the savings?.
