Cambria is most spectacular breathing taking location and it's beauty is really enhanced due to these excellent ocean facing rentals. We have visited this inn jus early this week and booked Jacuzzi suite. The ocean view Jacuzzi has my heart for it's coziness, amazing ocean views and most serene, peaceful atmosphere it creates. The manager David is very knowledgeable and is helpful. We are pleased with their very friendly staff who are ready to listen and fix even if any issues. Well pleased and grateful to have found this.

We booked our stay months in advance and we were supposed to be staying at The Fog Catcher. The day before our arrival I received an email confirming our stay at The Fog Catcher. Yet, when we arrived we were sent over to Cambria Landing. We originally had booked and pre paid for an upgraded room that was $421 a night (3 nights). But we got a basic room at Cambria Landing ~$200 a night. No view of the beach as we expected. Worse yet, we got no indication at all that we would get a partial refund if the $220 dollar difference in room cost. We had to complain at escalate to manager before we got a commitment to receive a partial refund. WE HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THE REFUND. We are also not pleased that we had to pay months in advance for the room. We have never had to do that in the passed and we have been staying there every year for the last 15 years. Very poor customer experience. Pre paying for the room now has over complicated the whole refund process. Very poor customer experience. Paid for the top room and it did not disappoint at all. Large king room with all the necessary amenities: microwave, coffee maker, TV, fridge. Room overlooked the ocean with an unobstructed view. Chairs are on the patio to sit in we're a little slippery, but you learn to adjust to him and was beautiful of you all day long. The extra large tub with Jets is wonderful and a great way to start her in your evening or both. Large bathrooms very clean throughout. Reception is very polite and engaging, and has a bottles of wine if you want or some snacks available if you need or didn't bring anything with you.The only snafu we had was through the text messaging system the day prior to arrival, where I was actually able to add on a couple of things. It's a great idea and it's amazing if it would have worked, but having a bottle of wine in the room was ordered through that and it didn't make it in the room. On check out they were very gracious took it off the bill not a problem, but it would have been the cherry on top to an extremely beautiful and wonderful weekend. We happen to catch the weather just right it's a great location to walk view see all that great stuff that you find all around Cambria.We will definitely be back, maybe not in the room with the the tub, but would love to have one of those upstairs rooms it has an unscript review to the ocean.Nearby activities: Right on the boardwalk...lots to do: beach walks, surf, collect moonstones...Food & drinks: Right next to Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill and it's definitely a good place to eat and have drinks.

Good value... The only down side was lack of outlets for phone charging etc. The shower was ok. There's a grill next door to eat at . The moonstone beach walkway is across the street so you can walk your dog but the the beach isn't dog friendly. At checkout we wanted to leave around eight am and couldn't get a live person to check us out so I called the sister hotel fog catcher to check us out. The housekeeper checked us out. The girl at desk at check in was super sweet.

Shower plumbing was reversed, TV did not work, dog chew bone found in corner upon arrival. Comfortable bed and great location.Walkability: Steps away from great food and the boardwalk.

Fantastic view. It was nice to find out there was a restaurant next door. The hot tubs were a great way to relax. The fire pits were a nice touch on a cold night. The front staff for nice and the refrigerator in the room was larger than the normal.Walkability: Some local food places nearby to walk to as well as a nice park to visit in a hiking trail. The beach was literally 15 steps from the hotel.

We paid foa room with hot tub and the water jets were not working. Paid extra for NON working jets. Bathroom door was falling off . Poor preventive maintenanceNoteworthy details: Stop charging customers for things that do not work

We got a downstairs oceanfront room. The room isn’t great. Small room, old carpets, old tiles, no sink in bathroom, bath and sink old.Another major issue is that due to the Moonstone Grill next door, people always park in front of the patio during lunch and dinner times which blocks the view.Also note that we did not have any cell coverage with AT&T network. So for any phone calls on AT&T network cannot be done on the premises.They charge premium for the oceanfront rooms but these rooms are not the same. We ended up with a sup par experience!!

Had a one night stay here and it was outstanding. Front desk was very accommodating with any questions or help we may need. This is definitely one of the best spots in Moonstone Beach.

I would love to give this place five stars, but there are a few things they need to improve on to earn that. Overall, it's a really nice place to stay and their prices aren't too bad and the rooms are pretty comfortable and it's a low-key Hotel right across from the street.We stayed there during the last week of April 2023 and it was for about four days. We lucked out and got a message from them letting us know they had one of the ocean view rooms available for a smaller additional price, which actually wasn't that bad. The king-size beds are actually comfortable and it comes with a refrigerator and a microwave I kind of odd bathroom set up but it worked. initially, the TV wasn't working and I spent a little bit of time having to figure it out, this is part of earning that five-star part that I'm gonna add to next.So there are a few things that Hotel could work on to become an ideal destination for Cambria. To start with they have two Jacuzzis in the back. During the time that we were there, I completed the maintenance on them from cleaning them to filling them up with water from usage. The management staff should put together a check-off list for the hosts to go through this every night to prepare the Jacuzzis for the customers' use. They also provide French roast coffee in the lobby upstairs. Here's another hint if you're going to provide the coffee then it should probably be ready by 7 AM. Every morning it was out within half an hour. My suggestion would be to add another big coffee pot for those of us that enjoy a good cup of coffee. Not saying that the coffee in the room isn't bad but the French roast in the hall was pretty good when it was available. .After 6 they would put away the snack area and the wines into the back storage room. I understand because of theft but if you're tease us when we check then there should be a way for you to provide it for the customers at night. Most of Cambria shut down by 8 PM and there's only one real gas station that's available for a late night snacking. Either put in some high-end vending machines over by the ice machine in the back or figure out a way to make the items available to us when we need them. There is no staff after hours you have to call the number of another hotel to get somebody to come to help you. They have little cottages available across from the main hotel which seems pretty cute and didn't have a chance to check them out. They also have a couple of fireplaces that are gas-operated facing the ocean. If the management staff would take the time to do some more cleaning of those areas and maybe offer a little more seating for the customers, it would seem, more at home and user-friendly because it got busy pretty quickly. Overall, we will be staying here again depending on the prices and specials they offer. I plan on emailing the management staff cause I want this place to succeed!

Very nice place for a get away!! Located across the street from the ocean! The new owner (not sure how new he is but explained when I was there that he just took over the property) is very nice. I had a room with the hot tub with the jets that come up from the bottom, and a little patio at the front of it. Nice and clean room.

The property is super nice and is right accross the street from the beach. Best of all the staff is extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make sure we had a nice time. This is a great pet friendly hotel ina cambria right accross from the ocean between. Its right in between Big Sur and Cayucos, great stop or detour on your way up/down PCH.

It's such a cool spot! The tub soaking room was the best. The bed was top-notch, especially for a relaxing sleep. Cable was a little spotty. The front desk person was really nice and welcoming.Nearby activities: Checked out main street in cambria and visited Home Arts! Great store!

This place is very beautiful for its location, the person that checked us in was very responsive, he even went out of his way to go out of his way to greet us and offer us some refreshments. The room had a great view. My problem came after our stay, unfortunately I left a pair of very expensive running shoes behind. I contacted the hotel several times with no response. We loved the room and courteous employees but they failed in the honor department. I know it doesn't take a month and a half to find a pair of shoes left behind in a room. I know essentially it was my fault in leaving them there , but to know this hotel does not care of there customers after they leave is unacceptable. Now if they can't admit that the employees don't turn in items how can you trust them to clean your room. Major fail on the management.

We stayed in suite 300 with the full ocean view and hot tube for20th Anniversary trip!! ??On our drive up from Riverside we got a call explaining the hot tub was broke ? ?They offered a discount on the room or a cheaper room ?We decided to stay in our room with the discount.In the past my family was in the professional janitorial business so we noticed lots of things that needed some major cleaning and sanitizing. We had to became the ? cleaning services ?Underneath some of the furniture, bed ?️ was crumbs and a few hair balls. ?Also spider webs ?️ and dust in some corners of the ceiling just as it was last year. ?The two single sofa seats where very dirty from human oils and other stains. They need to be replaced or professionally cleaned ?The last day of our stay we noticed the RIPPED OLD SHEETS. The rip was towards the very bottom of the bed I'm not sure if that was on purpose. We let the receptionist know at checkout but at that point what can be done ? SEE PICTURES ?️ ?In the future we might give this place more starts if some major improvements are made. Seems like the room was in the same condition from our last visit in early 2022The main positive was the scenery, absolutely breathtaking ?!!! Not a better view on the street!! ?The staff was nice, friendly and professional ?
