I've been a patient here since 2014. In 2017 I had to change doctor's and I was given Dr. Cotton. March 2023, I was told that I couldn't continue being a patient here anymore. When I asked why, Dr. Cotton said it was because I didn't live in El Dorado County anymore, she has known since I became her patient that I didn't live in El Dorado County and she still seen me. She lied to me, she said she didn't know that I lived in another county my address has not changed she also said she would help me find a doctor, since March I haven't heard from her at all. And that woman in the front office Karen, she also said the same thing. Both of them lied to me. I have serous medical issues and take a lot of medicine but neither one of them care at all. I really liked this clinic but after dealing with these two very unprofessional people I'll never refer anyone to this clinic. I still don't have a doctor and nobody there seems to care. I wish doctor's really cared for their patients, like there supposed to. I pray I can find a doctor soon. If a doctor is going to lie to their patients, how can you trust them! Just saying

I love this place!(((Edited to add: If you’re looking at the low overall rating, check the timing of the reviews - almost every negative review has been since the pandemic hit - almost everything before that is 5 stars - please recognize how badly overloaded the medical system was this past year! Don’t be fooled by the 1 star reviews. True though they may be, they could be said of any business in the last year! These guys are amazing and give better care than I got at my old work-provided high quality insurance-covered place.)))I’ve been going here since I was 16 and first allowed to see the doctor after being unable to since my parents did not believe in Western medicine. I’ve still been going to them even after I lost my insurance since they’re really affordable and will be flexible and let you pay your bill over time which was amazing for me especially last year when I got laid off too from Covid. The doctor’s and NPs are amazing, and even the one time I got a doctor I didn’t like after my first one retired (she wasn’t awful or anything - totally professional - just happened to be personality clash I think), I submitted a form saying just that and they gave me a new doctor no problem. Special shout out to my last two doctor’s Andrea and Tim, both fantastic doctors and I’ve been lucky to have them both!By the way, this place is GREAT for transgender Heathcare for those in need!!! I was able to start hormone therapy at my own pace and was treated as an adult capable of consenting to my own treatments instead of having to jump through years of hoops to access it like in many places. And everyone has been respectful of my name and pronouns. (Though I will say, they could update their computer/records systems to make preferred names a little more obvious on paper - new doctors to me have oftentimes missed reading my actual name since it’s printed all tiny in the corner, but always switched graciously as soon as corrected). Same with pronouns! They do sometimes have issues answering the phones or responding to messages in a timely manner. However, that mostly seemed to have worsened with the pandemic and I know it can be easy to miss a voicemail by accident so I recommend just calling a few times if you don’t get a response! The quality of care is very worth a little bit of a wait.

These people are horrible here. The women at the front need to be trained on customer service properly. Medi cal is at its lowest now and the facilities that are ran with the doctors treat the patients like a number with no empathy. I had health issues that they could not treat properly and delayed my recovery. My advice would be to stay away from this place as they have no respect for any of their patients.

Most of the time, they don't even answer their phone and you have to leave a message. Doctors here don't want to " see" you. They want to schedule a phone or zoom call and then they refuse to subscribe medication. They get their money and you don't get help or relief.

This place is a joke their is a issue with the commutation. The one physician I know doesn't listen ask for certain things to be order and she won't do it. When confronted she does the run around. Most definitely need to get a better physician especially if I am paying for it and have insurance. Would give a negative star of 10 but had give them a one star to place my comments.!

Heidi from the call center is extremely rude and unprofessional. She sneered at our questions and hung up on us. She refused to let us speak to someone else or get us her supervisor. She should be removed from the office and find a different profession.

I've had hypothyroidism for over 30 years. Since good doctors are hard to find I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Maria Arambulo (at El Dorado Community Health Center, through their Telemed department) as it has been amazing. Not only is she sharper than any doctor I've ever seen concerning Thyroid matters, she is very empathic and compassionate. She was able to diagnose me correctly and then treat me correctly. Not an easy task with thyroid. I also want to say that the others nurses and doctors I've seen at EDCHC have been great, and Telemed worked very efficiently. I would highly recommend Dr. Arambulo and her team.

I guess if your into getting teeth shamedThis is the place to go or get a reassurance about the quality of work depending on the insurance you have. The dentist is absolutely rude Dr Reza and Miguel will definitely not make you feel welcomed. I’m sure their practice is just fine but how they treat people is horrible. I would not recommend this place for dental
