Once again, this office is a major disappointment. Miscommunications, exorbitant charges, long wait times, and nothing but empty apologies for their lack of competence. I miss the days when Dr. Barnes was running this outfit. It's very unfortunate because we now have to travel outside of town to be seen. All we needed was an approval for my dog's thyroid medication which he has been taking for 5 years with no changes, but they insisted we come in for blood work first. What was supposed to be a $20 refill through 1-800-petmeds turned into a $256.73 bill?!?! Unbelievable. We will NEVER be going here again.

This is an amazing veterinary practice. The veterinarian I saw, Dr. Richards--a U. C. Davis Veterinary School graduate, was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. I was impressed from the moment I walked into this clean and well-run facility. The staff was polite and caring. My wait time was short, and Dr. Richards took her time to examine my dog and discuss his condition and the plan of action for treating him. Tucker has issues with skin infections likely due to allergies. I know Dr. Richards will determine the root cause after we get his infections cleared up.If you live in the area, it is well worth your while to take your pet to this clinic. It is my understanding that they are fairly new to the area, and it's taken a little time to get the right staff in place. If you've been there before, you really should go back and give them a second chance. I predict that pretty soon, this practice will be full.

We have been thrilled with the care and compassion we've received at Goldorado Animal Hospital! The new medical director, Dr. Glavis, has been a huge advocate for our senior pup. She has complex medical needs that require regular monitoring. Needless to say, we've been in a lot. The place always looks clean and organized. The team is friendly, prompt, and always remembers us and our dog! Thanks for taking great care of our pup (and of us!)

I don't know what's happening recently but customer service has really gone down. Leave you on hold forever. Hard to get prescription refill just really gone down hill

The place is a rip off the people that work there are nice enough but the business end is a rip off they are a corporation and all they care about is money ,different vet every time, no familiarity at all with the dog ,the place is just plain and simple a rip off

The girl at the front desk is ATROCIOUS. Ultra flat affect, rude, condescending and unhelpful. Leah was an angel and quickly took care of our issue. Why oh why is it difficult to fax a prescription? She insists that the pharmacy has to send them something first....they need to prescription before they can do anything! Why is that difficult to understand?! I physically have to go sit in the office to get help. We have enjoyed the Drs and their care... but is unfortunate to have the 1st contact somebody as rude as this girl.

I'm so happy that I was referred to them. They made you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Gave us so much info & answered any questions we had.

I have always had great experiences at Goldorado. From my special needs pittie to my one eyed Pekingese mix they are always there to educate and help me take care of my babies the best way I can.

I had two extensive interactions with different doctors and staff in the same week, due to my dogs complications, and with everyone i met i was impressed and my dog was treated with care and respect. I strongly recommend this practice to anyone with pets they treat.

This is a sad review because the Doctors are great! But the customer service sucks and the manager is very unprofessional! I called and asked if they could give me post op instructions for my kitty after he had minor surgery and the girl on the phone told me she didn't have time and my husband would just have to listen when he picked our kitty up. I couldn't believe it! Then they sent us to collections for unpaid puppy plan which was not true and said they tried to get ahold of us, which we never heard anything, it came down that they just needed a new card on file. We take pride in taking good care of our pets and would never let that happen! When I called to straighten things out, the Manager just hung up on me twice! A district manager got ahold of me after I emailed them several times and apologized for the bad management and told me that office will be getting a training session on customer service! I really hope so! Worst experience of my life! We will be going back up the hill to our old vet! The drive is worth it!

I took my Rottweiler there for an emergency appointment and from the very start they have been nothing but very professional and very kind. I highly recommend them and Dr. Gerst.

Called to get a price to have our kittens spayed. The person that answered was super rude to me and then quoted a price of $662. I asked if she misheard what I had asked for because that seemed extremely high and she said no that was a ballpark price and until they had examined my girls she couldn't tell me exactly how much it would be. I asked how much an initial exam would be and was told $68.95 just to bring them in. My son had also been calling around and happened to accidently call them as well. He was told it would cost anywhere from $200-$400 for a spay and an initial exam would be between $65-$95. Needless to say we will not be taking our girls there, they seem super shady!

I started taking my cats to Goldorado in 2016. The staff, DVMs and VRTs were great. The front desk people were very courteous and professional. Now in 2022, I am taking my cats to a new vet clinic. Since Dr. Barnes retired things have gone downhill. Dr. Miller is great, but the current front desk people are extremely rude, egotistical and unprofessional. Especially Leah and Rebecca. Over the course of a lifetime having pets, I have never known such rude front desk people. They always act like it's a big hassle whenever I call in. I called in to reorder sub-q fluids with Rebecca who said she would call back when they were ready, which she never did. I called again the next day, and she acted like it was a big hassle to get the fluids on order and ready for pickup. They always use Covid as an excuse, really? The other clinic does not. Well, I am done with this place. Never again!!!!

I've only started coming here, it is a very nice facility. They were very understanding on clearing the room so my reactive dog can come in. Dr. Miller and her techs were super nice and gentle. It is nice to find a force free vet close by. I was able to request a report card of what was done at my visit so I can keep up my records, so I was thankful for that.
