I've lived here almost 5 years, and this store has really gone down hill. This store is filled with liberals. Everyone brings their dog in the store so now it like foul inside. I feel like I’m in Pets mart. All the people from the Bay Area seemed to move here. It’s not enjoyable to shop here anymore. There’s like 15+ people on every aisle now. You will be forced to go to self check out because there’s not enough cashiers to ring people up. HORRIBLE GROCERY STORE.

There is only ONE young lady who serves chicken the proper way, and her mouth ISN'T open when it is served. She wasn't available when I was showed up, she was off doing something else This is just a disastrous location to order chicken, easily the worst one of most of these locations. Dec. 29th, I walk in and immediately, the older lady acts like she couldn't see or hear me. Then, she plays with the food, putting the chicken IN the bag, then out of the bag, then back in the bag. By then, I lost my appetite. With most of my Safeway chicken experiences, the preparer is packaging the chicken FAST to preserve its freshness and minimize likelihood of contamination/cross-contamination, usually it's a good experience. At this Coach/Cameron Park location, the older lady seemed to be passing coded messages and NOT doing her job, and mishandling the chicken that I ultimately walked away from ordering. I WILL shop here for other items, but likely not for chicken unless they overhaul the Deli section. If you EXPOSE, BREATHE on the chicken, or give an Emancipation Proclamation speech over something I'm PAYING to eat, I WILL COMPLAIN about it here and in two dozen more places, and I'll keep complaining until something is done and service is improved. It should NEVER be this bad, if the older lady doesn't like serving guys like me, she can clock out and let someone else handle it.

If you're thinking of using this Safeway for its schedule and save delivery service, forget it! They have either delivered my groceries to the wrong address, TWICE, or never delivered them at all. For a total of FIVE failed deliveries in just TWO months of using the weekly service. Plus out of 8 deliveries they were out of stock on avocados 7 times, and out of stock on apples, fish and several other items.I've literally wasted hours with their customer service trying to get the orders redelivered and each time the rep promises it will happen. Over the course of two days each redelivery never happens because the store never responds to the request from the service reps. After being a Safeway customer for almost 40 years, I will be switching to Raleys/Bel-Air.

Is it a joke to stick the slowest cashier in the express lane? I watched a kid 30 years the junior of this cashier two lanes over help people at 3 times the speed who had carts FULL of groceries. What is going on here, and who's bright idea was this?

I don't usually go to the Cameron Park Safeway, but my usual Safeway Pharmacy in EDH was out of a medication I needed right away. That store phoned my order ahead to the CP store and they filled it. The staff was great and the pharmacist gave me detailed instructions.Safeway = great pharmacy!

Bought some food from the deli, The chicken was so old I threw it away. Went back in to get some ribs. The person by the counter was sweepin and mopping. And then went to grab my ribs using the same gloves. I told the deli worker to cancel my order.

Very disappointed...4 pm on a $5 Friday...1 checkstand open and a long line for self checking...took longer to stand in line than to shop...will rethink stopping at this convenient location

Constantly putting things on sale and doesn't have any. Constantly having to get rain checks. Sometimes, they expire before they even have the product back in stock. They have graciously allowed recently expired to be honored. Out of a wine on sale for almost 2 months but the store manager allowed the sale price when they finally got some in. Well, today I encountered Crystal in Cameron Park. Had a recently expired raincheck for lunch meat that I asked if they would honor. Nope, that's not policy. Ok, frustrated she wouldn't do right by the customer, but I actually had another unexpired for the same thing, cause guess what, why I tried to buy it recently, they were out. Get to the checkout with over 2 lbs of ham and the cashier says they won't take a raincheck from another safeway. Calls his manager and here comes Crystal again with her smug look. I read every word on the rain check and it does not say anything about only being able to use it at the same store. Crystal said it's her bosses store policy. She would rather $30 worth of lunch meat go in the already full bin of lunch meat sliced but not taken and hope it sells before she would ok a rain check or try to make a very frustrated customer happy. I was so pissed by this point I walked away from my phone on the checkout counter. Came back in when I realized and had to go to the counter to see Crystal.... I again explained to her that safeway CONSTANTLY puts things on sale and doesn't have it. She literally nodded her head and said "yes, all the time". I said so you know that I am constantly having to get and try to use rainchecks, and she agreed. I said I have had rainchecks honored in different stores and sale prices honored shortly after expiration and that I know she absolutely had the ability to have made this right. With her non stop smug look, she just said "I am doing my job". Good job Crystal, just keep pissing people off when you know your stores are constantly bait and switching to get people in for stuff you don't have. I go there less and less, and Crystal just hard lined her way to pushing a customer even further away from wanting to set foot in a Safeway. The ironic thing is if I would just walk out without paying your policy is to do nothing. But let a customer frustrated from constantly having to shop with rainchecks get a sale price, well Crystal ain't gonna let that happen.

The employees are overworked over a burden and subject to some of the worst management I have ever seen.

Went to my local Safeway today to pick up some items for the weekend. Used their app and downloaded some digital coupons only to realize after checking out that, yet again, they did not take off the digital coupons. When I approached one of the workers at the customer service desk she instantly tried to blame me. Once I proved that I did nothing wrong and it was the Safeway app she reluctantly tried to help me. Her idea of helping me was to make me identify all items that should be updated. I'm certain I missed a few items and got ripped off. It's pathetic how poor their customer service is at this location.
