St Dorothy's Rest is a beautifully rustic location for a retreat weekend or week. The warm hospitality and welcoming spirit are unmatched, feeling like a home away from home. The food is superb, with staff who are kind and attentive. It is an awesome place to visit with family, beautiful out there near Occidental, and perfect for kids and adults to relax and see the Redwoods. The lovely old place has an outstanding view, with creaky stairs adding to the historical feel. It is one of the favorite places in the world, offering serenity.

A beautifully rustic location to have a retreat weekend or week-long. 2024 our group had about 45. I think prior to covid we had over 75 in attendance.

Just got a quick tour from the caretaker. Lovely old place with an outstanding view. Creaky stairs add to the historical feel.
