This was my favorite commissary of all times before I moved to Menifee but I still like to go there periodically when I'm in the area because I like some of the people that are still there and have been there for a long time and it's good to see their faces. Especially my favorite bagger she is awesome

The difference between this store and the one in San Diego is honestly shocking. The price difference is so great that it warrants an investigation. You are better off driving to the Navy base in San Diego and buying your groceries there. It will more than cover the gas cost.

Of all the commisaries I've used in 43 years, this one has the worst inventory management I've experienced. Empty shelves for common items, constantly changing product locations within the store, limited choice compared to other commisaries, etc.
I'm not sure if this is due to a reduction in the DOD federal subsidy or due to management practices. A commisary experience should not be so inconsistent from one to another. Please advise.

$3.29 Breakfast Bagels are delicious
& cane sugar cokes are $1.58 here. Cheapest I’ve seen.
$3.57 for a pack of water bottles. Getting more expensive

not the best meat/produce but good prices for shelf stable/frozen things. I avoid the checkout line like the plague and ONLY do self checkout. Since they stopped having baggers and have to call them over to bag for a tip-I have started bagging my own groceries and EVERY SINGLE TIME-the cashier will start checking out the person behind me before I'm done bagging. I've left my wallet there trying to get out of their way. Won't ever be using those lines again.

Your average base commissary. Nothing special. The prices on certain items is a little cheaper, but by and large, things are more expensive than a normal grocery store.

The Commissarys prices and products vary week to week.
As a veteran, it really doesn't save us much money shopping here due to the sure charge added.
