I am editing this review and rating from 1 to 3 after the director of the clinic called me a couple of days later. Not in response to the review, but because they did call to follow up and I told them how I felt. She spent about 20 min on the phone with me going over everything and told me that the vet I saw was an "interim" vet. And she would have the new, permanent vet call. The new vet did call next day and spent quite a long time on the phone with me answering all of my questions. I was felt much better after that.They gave many apologies and said they would pass on my input.am more than disappointed in this location. We had been taking our dog to this hospital for a few years and were really happy with Dr. Hart and the techs, they spent plenty of time and were very kind and thorough. My dog liked them, too.Today, I had a horrible experience and I don't think I will ever go back, The CSR was extremely aggressive and impatient, talking over me and telling me how to feed my dog, as if I was an imbecile. I made the appointment to get x-rays specifically, and all they wanted to do was tell me to change food to one that makes my dog sick. They would not take no for an answer and send him home with an Rx for the food I told them that he will not eat and that makes him sick.I now need to go to a different vet to get him examined and pay for an x-ray for his limp - because I have no idea what is going on.This is so upsetting I can't stop crying

Dishonest front staff, and truly a waste of time to ever have anything scheduled here. They claim to call and leave voicemails about needing to reschedule, yet they seem to be the only company who's missed calls/voicemails dont show up. Dental cleanings for my small dog were canceled and rescheduled 3 times. On the 4th time I showed up at the regular call time (7am) and no one was there and no one showed up. My other dog's dr visit was canceled same day (less than 2 hours before) only because I called to find out why I did not receive a confirmation text/and or call for the appointment. No shocker here, the front staff lady said she called and left me a voicemail that she canceled my appointment, yet nothing shows on my phone from them!My mistake for attempting to continue business with them. The worst experience and I will never return. You lost a customer for life.

I've been a loyal customer of Banfield Pet Hospital for five years, but my recent experiences at the Canoga Park location have left me extremely frustrated and disappointed.My dog, Logan, has been overdue for dental cleaning, and his appointment was rescheduled twice before being canceled without notice. This level of inconsistency in scheduling is unacceptable.Additionally, I placed an online order for Simparica on September 27th, which remains unapproved and unprocessed to this day. Logan relies on this medication, and the lack of communication and action is concerning.When I tried to contact the Canoga Park location, it was evident that there is only one doctor available who is consistently busy or has already left. This understaffing issue is causing delays and impacting the level of care.Furthermore, the limited operating hours, closing after 2 pm, and frequent closures during the week due to staffing shortages make it nearly impossible to get the care Logan needs.I hope Banfield Pet Hospital can address these issues promptly, improve staffing, and enhance communication with customers. Logan's health and my loyalty are at stake.

I called this Banfield location three times and left 2 voicemails. It has been a week and I have not received a call back despite me stating on the voicemail this was a time sensitive manner and despite being a Banfield customer for 5 years. I was calling this Banfield location for a second opinion regarding advice from another Banfield location that has not allowed me to see a physician for 3 YEARS face-to-face and I only speak to vet techs. Altogether, I am unsatisfied with the company in general in regards to customer service. Our pets are our family and we would like them to be treated as such. Answering your phone/calling customers back is the bare minimum.

It's hard to believe this place is still in business. This used to be a decent place to take your pets to but for the last year or so they don't even have a steady Vet on duty, and many days a week they are closed because there are no vets. This has been an ongoing problem and also they don't answer the phone and good luck having your phone calls returned in case you have a question or a need. Very sad because I used to like this place but had to find someplace else to take my dogs to.

These ppl never pick up the phone. They are never in and they are suppose to be open but every time you call the voicemail says they are closed.

The front desk is so rude and doesn’t try to help us at all! what ever I asked her she was trying to answer disappointing. She said if your dog doesn’t need dental cleaning Dr will do it because this appointment made because of dental cleaning and it was surprising for the dr! He agreed to me and didn’t do cleaning! but she was keep saying no we can’t!the dr is not here and he was there I had Dr appointment on 7:30 AM on Monday may 1st and dr called me to talk about my dog and her condition but when I was calling back him it didn’t work because technically the hospital was closed! So I asked her to let Dr know I’m here and she was keep ignoring me. This is my last time being here either cancel her plan or try other locations but never back here. I am so disappointed from Banfield hospital canoga park.

I was struggling trying to get the necessary prescription food for my sick cat. I had runout which meant putting him in risk of getting more sick. Ella was so helpful & understanding. She helped me get him the right food which both him & I appreciate so much.

This is the worst vet, they treat your pet like another number. They don't put effort into there checkups. They are extremely understaffed don't seem to care at all. They also have a higher turnover rate with their doctors than any business I have ever been to. I can't believe this place stays opened. The last 3 visits have been with completely different doctors because they don't have one vet stay more than a few months at a time. Rude receptionists, also constantly losing either a leash or a collar or pulling my dog aggressively by the leash. We're outta here!
