“I am a DIY kind of person who creates projects around the house...inside and out. Today I had an idea to put medium sized grey rocks in my outdoor planter section...so I headed to Jacobi Building Materials in Canoga Park. Roberto helped me calculate how many bags I would need for the square footage that I wanted to cover. Another staff member showed me the various sizes I could choose from...but I was matching an existing area so with my samples it took like 30 seconds to find them!They have a delivery option (not too expensive) and guess what? They delivered itwithin a few hours!!! 23 bags worth! My son and I got started and within two hours we were done and it looks amazing!Thank you Jacobi Building Materials and Roberto! “One word to describe this place - PRICEY.My review is only about buying gravel/stone/road base/ Decomposed granite.The employees are all super helpful and nice, but you definitely pay for the convenience of having it close by.Pros:Easy accessGreat serviceGood supply and optionsWorth it if you need small amounts of materialCons:Pricey compared to larger material yardsNot a lot of options for loose materialRoad base is chunkier than you'd really like for projects like starter layer for pavers.Material sold by the 1/3 cu yard, but same price as a full cubic yard of material at other places slightly farther out of townI'd go here again inly when I need small amounts of stuff otherwise it's cheaper to drive farther for larger loads.”
