The experience overall was positive in terms of employee friendliness, speed, cleanliness of the building etc... The lower stars is due to the offer I received. On a 2014 Chevy Cruze with 70K miles I got an online offer of $6K. Then when I brought it in, the offer was reduced to $3K. Some of what the mechanic told me was fair but some of it sounded like someone making stuff up to get the offer lower. I brought this car to my mechanic first before bringing it to Carmax. If I look on the Carmax website for Chevy Cruze 2014, similar cars are being sold for $10K plus by Carmax. That's quite the margins they are getting.

Carmax paid what they promised, I was honest when disclosures about the car. Blake at Canoga Park kept me updated and Jeff picked up the car on time, with a good attitude!

Sierra was fantastic! From the first time we walked in to view the cars to the test drive, to the purchase itself, our experience was smooth, friendly and professional. Buying a car can be nerve wracking but I can’t say enough how patient Sierra was, answering every question and allowing us to think through our options. We would definitely consider buying or even selling through Carmax in the future.

Visiting CarMax for the first time exceeded my expectations. I specifically went there to sell my car, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. The staff at CarMax are truly exceptional; their professionalism and helpfulness made the entire process incredibly easy and fast. I was relieved to find that my car qualified for everything and they offered me the expected price without any hint of trying to take advantage of me.What impressed me the most was their transparency and fairness. CarMax values good quality cars with a solid history, and if your vehicle meets these criteria, rest assured they won't rip you off. However, it's important to note that damages and major issues, like with any other place, may affect the final price.On top of that, CarMax went above and beyond to assist me. Despite losing my pink slip, they efficiently took care of the paperwork by simply signing one document. And to my surprise, they even provided an Uber ride back home! This level of customer service truly defines CarMax.If I could give CarMax a 10 out of 5 rating, I would gladly do so. But for now, a perfect 5 out of 5 rating is well-deserved for this exceptional place.Thank you, CarMax, for your outstanding service!

I knew Carmax purchased vehicles, but what I didn't know was they purchase leased vehicles as well. I recently sold my Mercedes to them as I was coming up on the end of my lease. If I turned it into the dealer, I would have had to pay the lease turn in fee, which is typically $500 or more. I avoided all that and instead walked away with money and they handled all the paperwork with MB financial. The process could not have been easier and I was in and out in an hour on a busy Friday afternoon no less. They even paid for an Uber to take me to the Lexus dealership where my new car was waiting for me.All the customer service staff were great! Very friendly, helpful, so accommodating and most of all expedient. I have purchased a few cars in years past before I strictly started leasing and I've always had a positive experience. This is a great location in the valley. Highly recommend!

I came to this location for an appraisal of my car. As i walked in, i was welcomed by one of the staff at the front desk. In less than 5 minutes, i was called to talk to one of the employees. He took some basic information about the car, I handed my car keys, and I was told it would approximately take 30 to 40 minutes for the official appraisal. In less than 20 minutes, I was called back, and they gave me a printout with all the details.About the location itself, it was very clean and loaded with different cars and brands. I really enjoyed their European car selection.

I had the worst experience with this location. This is 3 months after my purchase and I’m having to do things on this car that anyone would be doing atleast a year after buying a so called certified pre owned car. and I’m talking about. 3 months after purchase and I’m having to change front and rear breaks!!!. This isn’t an old car, this is a 2019 BMW with 17k mileage when I bought it. They claim they do strict inspections, I can honestly say that is an outright FALSEHOOD, and quite frankly that’s fraudulent. 3 weeks after my car purchase I had to take it to the dealership for a light that came on, only to be told I needed a an oil change. If an inspection was done they’d have seen this and taken care of it. The two stars rating are for the only representative called Greg, who saw me waiting for over an hour past my appt time and asked if I had been attended to, despite the fact that I came 30mins before my appointment time so I can I get the process started and out of there on time. I saw some rep standing or sitting idly and some hovering around one person over the computer and laughing, never mind that there were people waiting to be attended to. What would have taken atleast an hour took over 3hrs. Mind you, this isn’t my first time buying from CarMax. In 2916 I had an excellent experience at CarMax Burbank, took an hour for the whole experience because I usually start the process online, hoping this would atleast be the same or close, because it’s close to my location.I would not recommend this location to anyone who wants a good quality car and experience.

This Carmax is good. Well, it always depends on the person helping you. I highly recommend Victor. I came in early, 7:40 to have my rim repaired. It took a long time because the vendor came in later then expected. Victor apologized many times, filled up my card gas and washed it. They offered to buy lunch as I was waiting a long time and had not eaten. They offered to have Carmax fill up my car again with gas if I'm near by. Super helpful, kind and mindful of the situation. Victor goes out of his way or goes in the right direction with customer support and is attentive to customer needs.

Pure trash! This buisness should be under investigation for the harm they do.Unreal, had my address as some town in ventura due to computer glitch and marked a late payment on my credit due to their issue. Still fighting 2 years later and I dont even owe money on it.Never marked late on a single payment my entire life. Buyer Beware!Do not buy from here. By the time you come back to fix all the problems and deal with the emplotees it's cheaper to buy new.

Initial online quote went well, however when I scheduled a "at home appraisal/pickup" it got cancelled due to personnel issues. Then my quote expired and I was unable to renew it. I was required to travel 30 miles to the closest CM facility. There, after waiting for about 30 mins I was given another quote, which matched my initial online quote. I accepted it and then had to wait about another hour or more before I was able to sign the releases and complete the transaction. Seems like too many salespeople and not enough staff to complete transactions.
