If you have aspirations for your child to thrive in an environment that prepares them for admission to prestigious institutions like an ivy League or top 100 schools, I would advise looking beyond Faith Baptist. I express this viewpoint as an alum of Faith Baptist, and it is essential to consider a more comprehensive perspective. While Faith Baptist does report high college acceptance rates, these statistics primarily pertain to bible colleges and local universities with elevated acceptance rates. In comparison to many private schools, their AP classes may not meet the standards expected, and it's noteworthy that teachers at Faith have graduated from institutions that lack accreditation.Furthermore, the educational materials used at Faith have been criticized for perpetuating sexism, racism, and homophobia. This is a concerning aspect that can impact the overall learning experience. The curriculum at Faith Baptist appears to be grounded in religious dogma, potentially leading some students to depart with a sense of disdain for Christianity rather than fostering a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God.For parents seeking a more well-rounded and academically rigorous environment for their child, it might be worthwhile to explore alternative educational options that align more closely with their aspirations for a comprehensive and enriching educational experience. My review is focusing on the academics, but I will state that Faith Baptist is not an emotional safe space for your child (please see other comments). Happy to answer any questions to help keep your child safe. Do not send your child to this school.

Faith Baptist Schools (preschool, k-8, and high school) are strong in both academics and Christianity. It is hard to find a school that is both, and Faith Baptist Schools are truly excellent at both! I believe this is due to the strong leadership under Roland and Stephanie Rasmussen, as well as the wonderful, committed teachers. America's current culture is all over the board, and it is really challenging to maintain excellence without compromise. Children are coming from such diverse backgrounds and home lives (many are broken, struggling, divided) that it isn't easy to unify the campuses. Nevertheless, the leaders at the school are unified in providing a great education at a great financial value with lots of love. They have set the standard by establishing a biblical culture that is transforming families and not the other way around!

Title: Reflecting on Our Time at Faith Baptist School: Exceptional Teaching Amidst Billing ChallengesRating: (3/5)I am taking a moment to share my experiences with Faith Baptist School, highlighting both the positive aspects and challenges that shaped our journey during our enrollment. Our introduction to Faith Baptist School began when my son attended pre-k, and it is worth mentioning that his teacher during that time was absolutely remarkable. The school's dedication to employing effective teaching methods greatly contributed to his academic growth, enabling him to achieve a second-grade level--an achievement were genuinely proud of. However, like any path, our experience at Faith Baptist School was not devoid of hurdles. A notable challenge we faced was linked to the school's paperless billing system. Unfortunately, our account encountered hacking incidents that led to unauthorized withdrawals from the backend architecture. Despite our consistent and sometimes advanced payments, the system seemed unable to register our financial contributions. Our attempts to clarify the situation and seek resolution through the school's office were met with frustration. The staff appeared uninformed about any issues, attributing the matter to our own misunderstanding. Regrettably, this issue emerged during a period of family difficulties, amplifying financial strain and generating uncertainty. Before encountering these issues at Faith Baptist School, we navigated similar financial challenges with other accounts, including our federal credit union and Wells Fargo. Unexplained deductions from our paychecks, along with the mysterious vanishing and reappearing of funds in our Wells Fargo account, led to a distressing phase. The situation was further complicated by claims attributing these occurrences to external sources, including misguided suspicions of connections to China. Regrettably, the effects of these puzzling financial challenges continue to linger in various aspects of our lives.Despite these hardships, it is important to acknowledge the positive impact that Faith Baptist School had on my son during his time there. His teacher's dedication left an indelible impression on him, sparking a true love for learning. This optimistic experience profoundly touched our family. To summarize, our journey at Faith Baptist School encompassed both uplifting moments and hurdles to overcome. The teaching methods and the dedication of the educators undoubtedly enriched my son's educational journey. Nevertheless, the billing challenges we encountered, coupled with other mysterious financial difficulties, cast a shadow on our experience during an already trying period. I share these reflections in the hope that our story contributes to the school's ongoing efforts to improve and provide the best possible educational environment. I have saved and collected some photos of my son's work as a reference later. Warm regards,Tara M

My son went to this school for 1 year aged 3-4. The younger children are expected to sit at their desks all day doing worksheet after worksheet with minimal movement or stimulation. It was a travesty to send our young son here (DAMAGED HIM SOCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY) and he could read and write at 3 years! At 5 he was tested to be at 4th grade academically. We sent him to this school to become well rounded! Did not happen. If your child is a ROBOT, please apply. I used to think how do they get all the youngsters to sit down all day LONG!!! They only stood behind their chair to sing one song a day. Minimal breaks and playtime. At this age, children learn through play and observation, hands-on. Otherwise it was back to sedation mode. It was shocking and sickening. Horrible experience overall. How do we know? My husband spent many hours and I'm embarrassed to say months (I used to call him the unpaid teacher) in the classroom to keep my son seated for most of the day. It was our first child and we didn't know this was wrong, wrong, wrong. We were then taken to the office after my son could no longer sit still all day and told spare the rod, spoil the child. Goodness grief. We left the school after this. I am a devout Christian and this my friends is Faith Baptist. So many more grievances, but you get the idea. Most parents drop off their kids and leave...please, please, please do your due diligence and find out what your children are subject to at any school!

My child has been going here for 3 years now since K-5. She absolutely loves it and so do I. You can see that their teachers really care for their students even after they are no longer in their class. They are very communicative and willing to help every child so no child is left behind. One thing I noticed right away is how well disciplined the students are and well-mannered. Their academics are excellent - about 1-2 grade levels above other schools. There is a lot of work, but you'll get into a rhythm and be able to manage. I also love the free daycare before and after school (8-4:30). Their tuition is very well-priced especially for what you are receiving. Class sizes are big, but the teachers make it work and are able to keep their students in order. I also love that they keep their school secure with security guards at each gate. If you haven't checked them out yet, I recommend you do so for the next school year.

My sons absolutely loved going here for elementary school, all the teachers were amazing! They were there for most of their education except for the last 2 years because the high school program is so under developed. The main reason my sons wanted to leave was because of the fact the hair mandates for boys. And their sports program is horrible except for the football. Everything else they said was perfect for them but they didn't want their school to force them how their hair should look. I understand that men obviously shouldn't have a feminine look but men with long hair most of the time aren't feminine. If i could change some things about this school it would be: pay more attention to basketball and soccer programs, and change the hair mandates

I feel it's important for me to leave some thoughts here especially since this is a Christian school that I went to as a kid. I attended from 3rd through to 6th grade. The biggest reason I'm giving it a 2 star is the overall experience I had going here. Being a homeschool transfer it was honestly permanently scarring to be blunt. In the time I was there a plethora of unfortunate and excruciatingly painful things occurred. The lack of nurturing was clearly apparent. Being homeschooled until then, I was extremely sheltered from a lot of inappropriate things (swearing, cussing, gang signs, sexual innuendos, etc). Needless to say, not only did the school leadership not know what to do with me (not Tim, he was always kind to me thank God) but I was suspended a few times and punished overall. To this day I still do not understand why I'm carnation Roland - instead of suspending me did not take me to the side and EXPLAIN why the things I was punished for (F word, Humping, middle finger, etc) was inappropriate and not becoming of a Christian! We as Christian adults have a duty to teach/nurture kids and young adults who do not know the evils of the world - not just punish them due to school bureaucratic reasons. As far as I've heard School leadership (not Church) STILL are so blind to this.. It's actually rather ridiculous at this point. To keep this at least a little short last thing I want to talk apart is the bullying. The bullying at Faith while I was there was atrocious and it was the start of my still ongoing depression/lovesick depression. There were times when I was set up to say the F word, cuss word, gang sign, etc. due to nativity from being in homeschooling for so long and need for friendship I easily fell for it. I was always punished or given demerits. I told the truth and was ignored. This happened 3rd-6th grade, no pity was given to me and I am to this day severely scarred from it. I - as many kids do in grades 5-6 developed a crush on a girl.. As always I was labeled a creep and like before.. I'm severely Lovesick Depressed constantly. Overall I don't have any fond memories of FB as the pain overrides the few joyous memories I have of Paster Tim. I never felt like I fit in nor was accepted on a baseline. Honestly it's still a decent school academically but on a spiritual level it really did leave A LOT to be desired and this is just a shorter review. I'm 24 right now and I think it's time I finally spoke up about this. I'll have a podcast up in the next week or so about it. I hope this review and the upcoming podcast helps anyone in need.-Matthew Mahir Masibay-MellingVIDEOS CONCERNING THIS SCHOOL (2 of 3) youtu.be/eRAoVajf1QQyoutu.be/PmkmmkEx-ZI

First year we have our kids in this school, what a blessing, the academics are superior and the Godly teaching given to our kids is solid, better than we expected. Everyone is so nice and the outreach is incredible. The church actually called me when when my daughter missed school due to appendicitis to pray for my daughter, can you believe that ?

Happy Alumni Homecoming 2022!(Old post) I am most impressed with the teachers' and administration's genuine love for my children as individuals. I'm equally impressed with the pursuit for academic excellence. The best "rate and review" is evidenced in the quality of FBS graduates --- acceptance to the most sought after universities for academics, athletics and talent; and have the character to listen and follow God's calling on their young lives. Impressed.

Our family is so grateful that God in His providence led us to Faith Baptist. The staff from the security, cafeteria, teachers, janitorial, office staff to the principal are all amazing. They are kind and they are all excellent at what they do. It really blows my mind how the school is so organized and runs so well. For example they are thoughtful to stagger school dismissals so there isn't so much traffic. Our friends who attend other schools say they arrive 1hr before dismissal to avoid the crazy back up of traffic and it is something I've never experienced at Faith Baptist. Staff are hands on to keep the flow of cars moving during pick up and drop off and they open doors for students and make sure they are safely in the car or provide ample parking so that we can walk our children to their classrooms. I have seen the other reviews before making my decision to enroll my child and some of them were concerning but, I have to say now that my child is attending, the negative reviews I was previously concerned about really seem off.. I hope that my review will help anyone who is considering sending their child to Faith Baptist. I find that the reviews and overall A+ rating from Niche are a more accurate than the negative ones here on yelp: niche.com/k12/faith-bapt… The school truly cares for each and every child and their family. I witness on a daily basis thoughtful caring staff. Just to name a few things, we met a man named Kyle (with 4 daughters) at the Fall Festival and Mr. Kyle you are one of the nicest people we've met.. ever! Thank you for welcoming us so warmly. The security guard Mr. Chen and the guard on Farralone are so incredibly nice and always waving, smiling and greeting families, I've overheard Mr. Sam at the cafeteria remembering it's the student's game day and wishing them well, I've seen the principal be so invested and hands on knowing and remembering students, and what I love is that he doesn't just care for their physical well being but how they and their families are doing spiritually. I've seen teachers like Mrs. Coleman working so hard to make sure her students are excelling academically while being a spiritual mentor to them, I also saw her husband Mr. Coleman drawing on her whiteboard little characters for the children before class began. It really feels like everything the school does is so thoughtful and they go the extra mile. They don't have to but it's just who they are. They even offer extended hours before and after school for childcare so working parents don't need to make other arrangements. And they make tuition very affordable unlike many other private schools. Also I LOVE the diversity at this school. It feels like I'm getting a tiny glimpse of heaven! I always say it's like the United Nations. Academically, the school is so advanced. You can tell that there is so much thought that is put into the curriculum. It is rigorous and we appreciate that the school cares to challenge and help students succeed academically. Lastly I'm so thankful the administration/leadership holds onto the Word of God and teaches what is doctrinally sound. Thank you for not wavering in a society/culture that hates the truth. Thank you for not compromising the truth when so many churches and Christian schools have.

From day one, Faith Baptist lovingly embraced our son, pushed him past his comfort zone with a challenging curriculum and above all recognized him for who he is as an individual. Their teaching methods simply work for our child. His teachers have been truly wonderful and have gone above and beyond in supporting our child and making themselves available to him and our family. Above all, our son is happy and loves his school.
