Today was my absolute last day renting from this Hertz location.I had the occasion to rent twice from them in the last seven days and both times, I was met with an indifferent and downright rude customer service rep. No smiles. No welcoming demeanor or attitude. Just frowns and an "I hate my job" attitude.Heck, one of the reps was even wearing sweats to work. The other rep, on day one, mumbled so much that each time I asked them to repeat themselves, they looked at me like I was the problem.I'm totally done.

Horrible experience! Booked a rental vehicle online with a confirmation received. Went to go pick up vehicle, was informed that the vehicle that was booked, is NOT available. Plus i had confirmation to proof that i booked vehicle. Plus also received horrible attitude from employee telling me that I need to pay higher amount because Hartz doesn't have the vehicle that was confirmed booked. Was not given any other options, except for paying more. Horrible stuff and Horrible experience!Please becareful going to this location!

Use a different company!!! Terrible customer service. Stephanie was rude and David the Manager was short and rude. He was not helpful at all! Canceled my reservation and went down the road to Enterprise, where they were so nice and helpful! I book rental cars for my employees all the time but I will no longer use Hertz!

I never leave bad reviews, but due to the multitude of issues I encountered during my recent rental experience with Hertz, I felt compelled to let other potential renters know what to expect.On July 31st, I collected a rental vehicle from the Hertz outpost at 7355 Canoga Avenue in California, as per my reservation. Unfortunately, on August 8th, the vehicle experienced an unexpected engine malfunction in Virginia, rendering it inoperable and leading to a series of inconveniences.Following the breakdown, I faced an extended wait for AAA to collect the car, causing significant disruption to my plans. I then coordinated with Hertz outlets at CHO airport and Meade Ave to secure a replacement vehicle, with the understanding that my new drop-off location would be in Virginia. However, upon receiving the replacement vehicle, it exhibited maintenance issues such as illuminated tire, oil, and filter indicators, alongside an empty gas tank. This led to further inconvenience, compounded by the necessity to swap the vehicle at the Meade Ave location.Throughout the rental period, I engaged in numerous discussions with Hertz personnel in attempts to resolve these issues, only to receive contradictory information and instructions. On October 2nd, upon attempting to return the rental vehicle, I was informed that the car needed to be returned to the Canoga Park location, contrary to prior assurances.Despite efforts to address these concerns via communication with the General Manager at the Canoga Park location, promising a resolution in coordination with Mr. Riese, no further response or assistance was provided.Moreover, after being told that there would be no additional charges for changing the drop-off location, I was later subjected to an unauthorized charge of $1,511 on October 31st, a month after I had already returned the vehicle and settled my final bill. This unauthorized charge was issued without any accompanying receipt or explanation, leaving me utterly perplexed.My overall experience with Hertz has been unsatisfactory, marked by a lack of accessible senior management and frontline employees with limited authority to address customer-related issues effectively. This lack of support and inconsistent information have left customers stranded with no avenue for satisfactory resolution. Additionally, the evident high turnover of staff members indicates internal issues that likely contribute to this poor customer experience.Given these numerous unresolved issues and the unauthorized charge, I am deeply disappointed and cannot in good conscience recommend Hertz as a reliable rental service provider. The level of service and the resulting experience have been both subpar and distressing.

Unbelievable, came here twice on two supérate occasions. Both times they didn’t have what I ordered they only had one class over, but they wanted to charge me almost double for one class over. Daniel the manager told me it’s either that or I am free to leave.. (yes, he did say that)I guess Herz is not monitoring the level of service of their employees

I've been using Hertz for years, ever since they almost went out of business. It was inspiring to see the hard work of the "people" to save Hertz, similar to what happened with GameStop. More often than not, Hertz comes through strong, and for that reason, I have continued to use their services. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing. On two separate occasions, I had reserved vehicles that were "guaranteed," only to find that there were no vehicles available when I arrived. This forced me to cancel my reservation and find alternate transportation, which was incredibly inconvenient. Because Hertz usually comes through, I am giving them three stars, but if this happens a third time, I won't be so forgiving.Overall, I think Hertz is a strong and solid company, and I appreciate their rewards program. However, I believe their internal systems need updating, and their staff training probably needs some improvements as well and ultimately, I think they should hire more staff, maybe potentially integrate AI platforms or self directed solutions to exhibited certain processes, and may keep better account for their vehicles. based on my recent experiences, I can only give Hertz three out of five stars.

Worst experience of my LIFE!!!!!! We went in with a reservation, the girl at the counter wasn't even able to find it, then tells us that our reservation was for another location. We showed her what they told us on our reservation and she was so inept at her job it was like we were speaking Japanese. So I said can you tell us what location it's at then? She says no!!!!!! I'm like what?????? After feeling crazy, the manager comes out and says sorry, they overbooked us and we have no cars!!!!!! I'm like IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE YOU SAY THAT UP FRONT. Never will I go there again, I'd rather rent a bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a complex tesla rental for over 3 months (complex on my end.) The team - in particular I believe the manager (I unfortunately forgot her name) were incredibly accommodating and helped me to stay in my rental week after week. Truly the best customer service I have received from a car rental company. Thank you Canoga Hertz!!

A) I got there 1min late and the office was close, like NO ONE was at the office. They must have closed and gone way before 5PM.B) I had to walk and run for 2hrs to get there and 2hr back with no car.C) I lost my Appointment next day. Due to no car.D) Main office told me to pick up next day at 8AM, Got there at 7:45 and they gave me Hard time as no car available. I should have picked up the car last night before 5.E) Poor attitude when I got there Next day Morning. "Not my problem you got here 1min late.F) 3 times called main # and was on hold for over 20min each time Even the Emergency line.G) Before closing store, No curtesy call to see if I am going to make it?, on may way to pick up car? or canceled???.H) Car oil was not checked and was low.HORIBLE SERVICE….Absolutely HORIBLE.

Had the worst experience with this Hertz location. I had a reservation at 9am and showed up just for them to not even have the car. I had to drive to another location 30 minutes away for pickup of another rental. The employees at this location were also slow and don't care about the interest of their clients. & Hertz takes no accountability for the inconvenience. Never booking here again !

The car was filthy. They said they had no water to wash it. They only had an EV available which was not fully charged although they instructed ME to bring it back charged. Staff were preoccupied; did not think to pull the car out of a tricky spot for me. The office was very run down. When I returned the car, they were rude and did not acknowledge me for quite a while while they talked on the cell phone. They worked very slowly. The guy was so out of it, it was honestly like dealing with someone who was high. Really poor customer service and filthy vehicle.

First time picking up a car in this location and Angel and Frenando are amazing. I picked up the car on Saturday and worked with Angel he was so Kind understanding and friendly made sure all my concerns were addressed. unfortunately I had to trade-in the car on Monday due to car issues which is not Frenando or Angel fault. Monday was extremely busy I'm assuming it's due to them being close on Sunday's, Angel held it down making sure everyone was taken care of and getting people in and out as soon as he could until help arrived lol, Frenando brought his amazing energy into work greeting everyone with a smile changing the energy in the room as a lot of other customers were growing impatient again not Angel fault he was providing amazing customer service with little support he had. Fernando and Angel was able to swap my vehicle quickly and their amazing customer service will be the reason I come back and why I'm making this review.I manager a team and I would be so happy and proud if they worked for me. Honestly wish they could.AMAZING!
