“Wow! Talk about supporting your local. I was shopping around for tires and this man came through. I found MJ Tires through Yelp, called, and Oscar - the owner was quick to answer the phone. I told him I would call him back and when I did, he didn't disappoint. I got to his location after work, and he was still taking care of another customer but immediately after that it was my turn, I had to change all of my 4 tires. We were conversing about life but he didn't stop working and he was by himself! I thought I was going to be there for hours, but he was non-stop. He also found 3 nails in one of my tires that nobody could find. There were no hidden fees. What he quoted me over the phone is what I paid for. That included tires, installation, balancing, and disposal. He didn't ask for any gratuity but I threw in a little more just for the overall experience.
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND OSCAR AND MJ TIRES. HE IS OFFICIALLY OUR NEW TIRE MAN.

“I had a leaking issue with my 1999 Beetle and took it to Marks because of their great reviews. They did not disappoint! Their mechanics were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They explained my engine oil leak to me and did not try to upsell me on things my car didn't need. Mark and the other mechanics had my car ready for me that day and for a very reasonable price! They also informed me that one of my wipers was not installed correctly by Valvoline, and fixed it for no charge. I do not know much about cars and as a woman, I find it difficult to find honest shops that don't try to take advantage of you. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back!”

I went in this morning at 9a and spoke with Eddie about some work another tire shop had told me needed to be done almost immediately. They claimed it was a cracked bushing and, if left unrepaired I was running the risk of killing my car. It was causing a strong vibration/shimmy upon braking. He had Vic look at it and the discovery was actually; the brake rotors were warped and needed to be machined.
Within 2 hours I had my car back and enjoyed a smooth, shimmy-free drive home. All at a great price.
He also gave me a fantastic quote on 4 new tires which I'm hoping to get next month (ah, the joys of living on Social Security).

“I went to Toyota Northridge dealership to have my car diagnosed since the tire pressure warning sign on my dashboard was not going away. Northridge Toyota quoted me $1600 and told me all 4 sensors needed to be replaced. Went to 2 small tire shops and told me the same thing. I went to Big brand tire and they were so very honest, pleasant and professional. I ended up paying on $30 and was told there were no probs with the sensors and true enough they were able to make the sign go away on the dashboard. I knew deep down that there weren’t anything wrong with the sensors because the sign was not blinking which it was supposed to do if the sensors are to be replaced. Anyways, I’m so lucky to have found big brand tires.”
