If I could give negative stats I would. RED ALEET CARLOS WILL CHARGE YOU FRAUDULENT SMOKING CHARGES. I came for one night in travels and was told we were seen smoking and they found ashes on the balcony. It was 30 degrees and windy, I did not smoke anywhere near the balcony or hotel and never would disrespect my place I'm sleeping or rules given to me. I also saw numerous other guests actually smoking on their balcony with lighters on their table etc, so to be randomly charged and accused of smoking was shocking! it was 30 degrees and windy, so wow those "ashes" that were "found" outside on a balcony must have been heavy and dedicated to where they were sitting, Carlos the worker talked over me, carried an attitude, hung up on me and refused a solution, refused to give the gm name or when he is I. So I can resolve this, they simply stole hundreds of dollars and claimed there was a smoking fee. It is disturbing, disgusting, egregious, and the worst customer service I've ever seen or heard of from Carlos. I am not having to dispute my money back other ways because this hotel is incompetent and fraudulent. Thanks Dana point beach front inn and suites. Do not even consider staying at this place. There are many many other choices

DJ incredibly helped. He showed us rooms and told us that one room had a partial ocean view, which I found very conscientious. He also gave us a discount and arranged to move us to a room on the 2nd floor with a better view when he would not be in the office the next morning. He also had cultural understanding and humility, which makes interactions enjoyable. He gave us the towels and blankets I requested (not many hotels I stayed delivered this). Such a relief and joy to work with fantastic staff. I hope this place gives him a raise.Rooms had living room areas with ocean views. We could hear the wave sounds in the living room areas. 109 had even a stove (coil) and pots and sink in the kitchenet area, on top of 2 door refrigerator and microwave. 220 had a bathroom separate from the bedroom.I preferred the "View" rooms than "Front" rooms, as I need some space to avoid direct sunlight while seeing the ocean views, and a front room I saw on the 1st floor did not seem to have a large place to hide from the sunlight. But wide views to the ocean in the front rooms of course looked good. The cleaning lady cleaned 220 first and even let us know that it was ready, so that we did not have to move our suitcase and everything to the car and come back. They offer 15% off for 3 consecutive nights and 20% off for 4 consecutive nights.Elevator and free parking also make it convenient to stay there. We could hear the train sounds occasionally, but the amazing staff and views and discount make it worthwhile. This is a place I want to come back when visiting this area again.

My wife, baby and I stayed here during Christmas break, and we loved it! The suite was spacious, fairly comfortable beds and very clean room was pretty great, but the service we experienced was the best! DJ was absolutely amazing, extremely helpful with perfect dining recommendations, quick to help with extra towels/bedding or troubleshooting the TV, honestly felt like I was staying at a best friends house with the friendly and kind approach that DJ has to what he does!! Continental breakfast isn't bad and the $10 parking fee is way more affordable then other hotels. Plus the central location on the PCH is another bonus of this Inn.

This hotel was fine overall but definitely way too expensive for what it is.Pros:1. Beachfront, so you can watch waves from your room. 2. Small hotel so the staff knows you during the stay, huge shout out to DJ. He was great!! Super friendly with awesome recommendations 3. Continental breakfast included, decent enough to fuel the morning 4. King room basically had a living room and bedroom which was spacious 5. Parking was $10 per night (affordable).6. Provide a pack n play for baby Cons:1. Right next to Amtrak so sometimes you hear the train 2. If you are on the third floor you don't hear your neighbors but you hear the super loud heated/ac units at the top of the roof which make a nonstop humming sound3. The hot tub was not working while we were there so call in before your stay to ensure it's in working order. 4. The fold out couch mattress feels like a springy hammock (really not a pleasure to sleep on).In the end we paid $195 per night which was a total rip off for the type of hotel this was. I'd recommend it for a cheaper rate for sure maybe staying at the second floor and hoping you don't have loud neighbors.

Price is a bit higher than expected. Rooms and furniture are older for the price you pay. If you get a room facing the ocean its great.Rooms: Older rooms furniture older and stained

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the ocean view was beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the price point was perfect. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants making the location top-notch. We will definitely be back.

I reserved the oceanfront king suite. This hotel was very nice. The room was clean and exactly as advertised. The only thing I was disappointed with was the bath linens. The towels were rough and small. This is something I can overlook because of the amazing view and overall cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff.Rooms: The bath linens need upgraded to match the level of the room and price.Safety: I felt very safe at this hotel, even while traveling solo.Walkability: There were a few restaurants in walking distance.

This nice quaint spot is in the perfect location. The beach and restaurants in short walking distance of 2 minutes. The hospitality is Exquisite! Front desk customer service is Elite! The Guys, while checking in and checking out, were More than polite, personable, helpful, respectful, and accommodating. Making sure to get you the best price available, asking if you have AAA to ensure you get that discount. The view from the Oceanview room is perfect, but it is pricey for over $250 to stay 1 night (for 17hrs). The room itself was perfectly staged and neat. Having a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker with cups, coffee & creamer. A table to eat, a desk to take care of any work you may need to do with a stylish desk lamp that doubles as a charger. All the windows open so you can enjoy the sea breeze, which you can see, hear, and feel. The bed was comfortable and perfectly dressed with crisp white soft linen with 3 pillows and 2 extra in the closet. The bathroom provides enough clean towels, travel size lotion, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The elevator was clean , working, and a smooth ride that felt safe. The complimentary breakfast had waffles, boiled eggs, a variety of cold cereal, a variety of instant oatmeal packets, fresh fruit of apples and bananas, yogurt, a variety of dainish, with coffee, orange juice and milk to drink. Everything is neatly set up and organized with enough available. There is ONLY 1 ice machine on the 1st floor. There is a hot tub situated facing the ocean in the middle of the courtyard. The downside of the room is as follows: the couch arms and back were filthy clearly a whole brown color, yet the couch was Blue. When I sat on it, the seat sank to what I thought was going to fall in. As soon as I sat a bug with wings crawling on my thigh, I jumped up, never sitting on it again, I noticed the same bugs crawling on the filthy, torn curtains. The window seal was covered in the same bugs. The good thing after taking pictures to show the front desk, they were more than happy to give me a discount off my stay. Overall a stay that I would recommend as I was recommended by my son to go from his experience.

BE CAREFUL! FRAUDULENT COMPANY WITH INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES!I booked via telephone for a two night stay. At check in I provided my debit card for deposit and room. On check out I gave room keys back to the front office and left to receive a harassing phone call after 20 minutes while driving on the freeway demanding that I come back within a 10 minutes because I "didn't pay for the room," after mentioning I was driving and needed to pull over to look into the matter I was threatened that they would call the police and provide video footage of me and my vehicle unless I pay. After viewing transactions it's clear to see that payment was provided and they attempted to charge my card SIX additional times in THREE different amounts. They harassed and cursed at me via telephone a minimum of FIVE times even after I provided them with an email showing the proof that the charge was processed.

Great place to stay for Ohana Festival. Prices were super high for the night but it seems that price gouging is the norm for hotels in the area for the festival. Suite was clean with a nice ocean view. The location was nice and next to a Sunset bar grill and Good Choice sushi restaurant (fabulous place for sushi, beer and great ocean views). The front desk gentleman was very pleasant and we appreciated the thoughtful care package we received since we were there for the festival.Walkability: You have to cross the street to get to the beach but there is a nice park with picnic tables and the ability to have a fire right across the street from the hotel.Food & drinks: Sunset bar grill and Good Choice sushi restaurant (fabulous place for sushi, beer and great ocean views).

UPDATE after response from the hotelThere was no issue with the online booking. I have booked hotels online since it was an option and NEVER had an issue. It was clear it was something on your end and your attempt to resolve it was weak. $50 off that is it, no offer of a free night or discount to use another time.We ended up staying next door at the Best Western and the rooms and service were much better!!_________________________I booked this reservation in April and when we arrived tonight they said they have no record of my reservation and they have no rooms for tomorrow night which is the night we need. I had my confirmation number and email and nothing. There is a concert here this weekend and they were "nice" enough to find us another room for $100 more a night at a different hotel. Absolutely ridiculous. And they gave us a lousy $50 off our room for the inconvenience. I will never stay here or recommend this place to anyone. Stay away!!!
