Not neaely as full or satisfying as it was back in the 80s, 90s or the 00s. It feels much more hollow and empty now. Many of the best shops and places are long gone and nothing but forgotten memories. There's lots of independent options which is cool, but there is also much more empty and wasted space now. It's seen far better days.

This mall is SO SAD now and days! I used to love going there as a child and there were SO many stores there back then. I'm 28 now so you do the math. Only reason I go there is mainly to shop at Khol's and that's about it......

It's an older mall, but seems to be in a bit of a revival. They decorated for Halloween with some creative layouts. There are vacancies and foot traffic on weekdays is low, but the stores all feel alive. The food court had a small variety and they have some sit downs around the outside, so you do have choices. It's worth dropping in for a little bit at least

It's spacious inside area is perfect to walk around in. Bring the kids to several activity shops. The shops are changing. Always something new. There is also a food court.

I try to visit as many indoor shopping malls as possible. I was traveling through the area with my family and noticed that this was just a few blocks down from the hotel we were staying at. Decided to take a look. They have some staple big box stores like Macy's, Target, and Kohl's. They also have a Chili's restaurant. They have some smaller chain stores indoors like Lids, Bath and Body Works, Claire's, Vans, Journeys, Famous Footwear, etc. However, Most of the stores are smaller mom and pop type places. You can tell that the mall has been around since approximately the 80s. There is some nostalgia. There are fewer and fewer indoor older malls. I like to give them business when I can as they are all struggling.

As of August '23, there are many new spots in the mall that very much emphasized in person experiences. I'm very excited to see what happens next! I am really excited about the puppet institute and Hadbro Toys.Rain is awesome! You can pick up a model and then head down to the Papa institute to paint it! And then grab a snack in the food court just like it's the 80s!

while the capitola "mall" feels less of a mall in current day in the past it was filled with brilliant memories and sophisticated charm. i can still envision the memories it has held for me and many others in our formative youth. now i walk the halls in between wetzle pretzel and chilis and have a harder time finding the joy and brightness of this place but i see to it's potential and hope more people can find the quaint ambiance of this humble structure.

Feels a bit old and like it's declining but there weren't too many empty storefronts so it was ok.

Bizarre and a bit of a surreal place. Good selection of stores. And a large mall. But mostly empty. Kind of like walking through a relic of some kind. But with a fully functioning (mostly empty) Target, Macy's etc.

Been there twice. So bizarre how they force the restroom doors to stay open. I tried to close the womens while using it, and staff immediately jammed it open again. Good luck using the restoom in any sort of privacy.

I heard a rumor that this mall was closing down and honestly I'm fine with it. This ''mall" shouldn't even be called a mall because of how bad it is. There's no people (for a good reason) the stores suck and I'm pretty sure that theres more closed down stores than open stores. It's pretty obvious that this mall is dead.

I've seen this mall have better years. There is alot of talk that this mall is changing in the next year or so. I hope so I really don't like going out of town just to buy a decent pair of shoes.

Capitola Mall is a multi store large complex, with inside stores, and some stores having their own outside entry. To include the larger hub stores. Plenty of parking on all sides around the complex.
