We work with CareMark and Caremark specialty for critical prescriptions related to transplant recipient prescriptions. CareMark or its specialty partner dropped the ball on an important refill which caused my wife to run out.This proved to be a significant time-kill. After hours of calls, customer service frustration, my wife was able to get Caremark to send 4 pills to try to bridge some of the days between when the script was tentatively going to arrive. Caremark, in the late afternoon, sent the script to our local CVS pharmacy. That pharmacy did not have the meds in stock.In an extreme pinch, and under their significant work-load, the Pharmacist at Rio del Mar, Aptos store, contacted another local CVS at 7:20 PM. Both pharmacies at that late hour were inundated with work. The Pharmacist was able to reach Pharmacist (Ms. Thanh) and she confirmed they had the pills. I arrived at the CVS and I was greeted by Michele (Hero). Expecting and fearing the worst, she was amazing. She found the information and swiftly worked with the pharmacist (Thanh) to fill the temporary script minutes before closing.These staffers should be commended. This was not an ordinary script, this was critical medication. The staff, not knowing the importance of the meds nor the time and frustration that had occurred getting to this point - acted with the utmost professionalism, care and follow-thorough - even tho they were buried under end of their end of shift deadlines and work.While most of the CVS pharmacy staff are decent, this service and acumen went above and beyond cleaning up the mishap that was not their doing.

The pharmacy people are so rude and seem so unhappy to be there. They only were able to fill two out of three medications but they didn’t tell me this and instead made me go back in line to ask about my third medication - only to find out they were out of stock and didn’t even have the medication available to dispense? This would have been good to know upon picking up my prescriptions. And then they are not happy to serve you at all and just want to get you out of there as soon as possible. I need my inhaler I have asthma this is ridiculous

I enjoy shopping at CVS. They always have the latest products that I see in magazines or on TV. Store always clean,Employees helpful and friendly, checkout fast. Best drugstore ever!

Inventory is always low. They don’t carry as many products as other CVS stores in the area.

It's always amateur hour at this Pharmacy, thanks to the pharmacist in charge.Made an appointment last week for a flu shot, got multiple confirmations and reminders. Showed up a few minutes early to get the shot."Oh, sorry we're out. Try Target."So professional, so expert at wasting my time.Thanks CVS on Bay, Capitola!

The pharmacy staff is pathetic and most of all so very rude. One staff member doesn't look to be even 20 years old and she has such an attitude was rude to me and people around me. I think the owner of CVS should replace most of the staff members in the pharmacy. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

On several occasions the pharmacist changed my prescription amount to a lower number of days and refills and in one case the amount of the prescription itself, and insisted the doctor initiated a change and changed it; however, the doctor never did. When caught the pharmacist then tried to say the insurance required the change; yet, I have a letter from the insurance company as well as other communication stating otherwise. Then the pharmacist stated it was their policy. The pharmacist does this to increase the cost it seems and each time tried to charge me almost double. Rather sneaky. No need for the pharmacist to lie if legit.Has your prescription ever been slightly changed? Have you ever tried to trace where the change actually came from or was initiated? Have you compared the cost to what it would have been originally? (A 30 day supply typically costs more than a 90 day supply. The copay is usually much lower on a 90 day supply)I think this pharmacy should be investigated. It is concerning for the elderly and others that this is happening.

They are a total screw-up. Never get the prescription from my doctor. They are a 5 minutes walk from my house. If you do get something there, it is a long line. I have switched to Costco for 5 other scripts, but thought I would give it another try. Never a problem with Costco and always less money.

There are not enough starts to rate this pharmacy. They are awesome. They fill prescriptions, finding the best price, are courteous and kind. I watched as they went out of their way to help a man with two badly burned hands get his pain pills economically. They found the best price for my medication. It is fun to go in there. One man even showed up in a cat in the hat outfit. I have only had one experience at the CVS pharmacy on 41st and they were also quite good.

I would give their pharmacy 0 stars if I could. I don't know what is going on with this pharmacy but I am not going to have my Rx's filled there ever again. They are either losing/miss placing Rx's or lying about not getting the from my MD. My MD electronically sent 2 Rx's on the same day (Monday Feb 28th) at the same time because I received an email from her office showing that they were sent. Since I can't pick up both on the same day they did fill one so I KNOW they received BOTH Rx's. They told me when I called today that they didn't have the other on record as being sent. I emailed my MD today and the pharmacy said they would call my MD's office. All of a sudden my Rx was there to be picked up. Also, this is the 2nd Rx that is being PARTIALLY filled which means I have to make another request for the rest of my Rx AND make another trip across town to pick it up. Ironically, the Pharmacist asked me yesterday to give them a good rating because they have been getting bad ratings...HAHAHAHA! Now I see why...they are TERRIBLE!! Here is your rating dear: 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
