I got an appointment at this DMV office because they had more openings sooner than any of the offices in the Bay Area. I took the day off work for this appointment. The staff are friendlier, more helpful, and understanding. I almost wondered if I was in a DMV office.

I tried to leave zero stars.
You cannot renew registration and there is no kiosk... In fact they moved the only kiosk in town, over the hill in San Jose...
Ridiculous whoever is in charge. Absolutely ridiculous

Best DMV experience I’ve ever had, way to go California! Did not expect this. I felt like the customers were the ones making things less efficient by coming unprepared, like me. I did however submit everything online for my DL and then you have to bring in physical copies of it all so I don’t really get that. You save the workers a scan? Come on, this is the digital age! Also, nothing on the online application told me I had to go get a form from the CVSO to get ‘veteran’ on my DL. So I had to run around town a little bit. Still though kudos. Some of the workers talk REALLY fast like easterners/military. Love. It.

I went to the Capitola DMV office this week as I had many questions regarding the renewal of my driver's license...The paperwork I received in the mail was unclear. I met with Frank at the entrance and he walked me thru the entire process in just a few minutes...I give FRANK a "10 star" Review for this professional knowledge and kind support. Thank you FRANK!!!

I know the dmv is e expected to be unpleasant but these people take it way beyond above the call of duty in making sure to make things awkward uncomfortable and miserable as all fxxx. And I failed my first driving test here which now probably was a set up so don't forget that the person to right has the right of way even if they hesitate and signal you into the illegal maneuver costing you your license... Good day miserable *******.

Contrary to the normal reputation of every dmv office on Earth, I’ve almost always found the staff here to be really eager to help and reasonable whenever they can be. And if you come during the week the waits are not too bad at all.
