Signed up for an appointment at 8am for a new visit but when I got to the location they cancelled me on the spot. Terrible service, if you’re going to offer schedule appointments on your website, be sure to define that new patients are not allowed instead of allowing them to sign up.Tried to give Banfield a try but the truth be told, the rumors about this company stands. Lousy and distasteful.

Do NOT go here if you are a working professional. They often have to cancel appointments unexpectedly due to inadequate staffing redundancies.

I reached out to this location for help with a billing issue with my Wellness Plan, and their receptionist, Robin, hung up on us 3 times. I was never able to talk to a manager, nor anyone else, because Robin kept hanging up on us. Incredibly unprofessional and rude, Robin has no business working in this industry. Huge let down after being a Banfield customer for over 10 years.

Had an appointment today to get my dog updated for shots for needed training. I scheduled my appointment a week in advance and my dog was prescribed sedatives due to her being a reactive dog. This vet appointment was needed for her training and I described my dog’s behavior prior to making the appointment. Day of appointment and my dog is on sedatives as prescribed and they called to cancel my appointment saying they were too busy and didn’t have that slot available. Extremely unprofessional as the person did not offer available times for a future appointment. When asked for availability for today they simply said they would be too busy. So I put my dog on sedatives for nothing. I do not trust them with care of my dog anymore. When asked why they agreed to schedule my appointment and then cancel the day off, they only said that they can’t control how busy they are. So they just didn’t want to honor the agreed appointment time.

Made an appointment online for my puppy that needs care, brought him in and was told they didn't have an appointment for me and that it is an online problem. I should have called. So frustrating, an hour driving wasted of my time and now care is being delayed. Do better Banfield.

The Carlsbad location is where we take our dog. The puppy plan has been nice. I really like how welcoming they are when I go in. The only thing I would change is allowing owners to come in the back for each visit. I've only met a vet once and I'm always having to communicate with the vet technicians which to me is ok, but prefer to speak to the vet.

In all our decades of vet experience, we have never met a more loving, concerned and personal vet than Dr. Clark We cannot express how much we appreciate her!

Let me tell you I think I've seen ninety-eight percent of the vets in Oceanside and Carlsbad and the only place that I will return to is this Banfield. Dr. Clark is literally the best vet, that I've ever met. My dog has a zero fear of going there because of the love he gets there.

Had enough of the bitchy younger women working there who were just down right cold and lacking empathy. What's the point in shouting at a deaf person? It's like beating a dead horse LOL. The doctors were good but we're going to a different provider now. There's no Love at most Banfield's and at face value a "customer" deserves basic respect and inclusion. This company's plan is also very expensive! Long after you cancel they charge you an exorbitant amount for basically fine print stuff, and I've lost trust in them. I didn't care for this location in particular especially after being shouted at. Nobody even helped me either. Sucks being disabled and ignored doesn't it?

I have finally realized that Banfield is price gouging. I took my two dogs in to get a Rabies Antibody Test required to go overseas. They had an immediate opening so I went right in without asking the price or doing any comparisons. When I arrived they told me the total for both dogs would be almost $1000. They also told me why it costs so much and this was comparable to other vets. Due to it being the weekend I was not able to verify and went ahead and paid. I found out other vets charge about $150-$175 per pet. There price was 3 times the amount. ???

While I enjoy Banfield employees, they are kind and considerate to my dog and cat. Whatever you do, do not sign up for the wellness plan! It is a rip off, and you cannot get it to stop! I have tried to take my animals off the plan, and they make it nearly impossible. Whatever you do, do not sign up for the plan!
