Miguel and the whole Subaru tem were awesome. This experience was the best I've been treated at a dealership! He listened to what I wanted and took me seriously by showing me exactly what I was asking for and found me a car that I fell in love with very quickly. The paper work process was also seamless, she offered me all my options and was super nice and efficient. Also i love my new Legacy, super cool features and fun to drive. Highly recommend

My experience at AutoNation was very welcoming, exciting, and stressful. It was my first time purchasing a car which was the stressful part. Thankfully, I was helped, by the best two amazing people whom I couldn't have gotten this car without. They were both very friendly, very welcoming, and just wonderful people. George Mang was one of the wonderful people who helped me out. He was extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable about every car. Any question I had, he would answer with a smile. I was truly blessed to have been helped by George. Overall, my experience was great for my first time purchasing a car. Everyone was tremendously friendly and helpful, and I sincerely appreciate them.

I test drove my first Subaru at the Carlsbad dealership over 10 years ago, but have never bought from them and no longer intend to. The internet sales team has always come up short. With my most recent attempt, I was emailed a decent quote for the car I was interested in, so I called and spoke with the manager who had been emailing me to set-up an appointment and was told to ask for him when I arrived. When I showed up for my appointment, the manager had no idea who I was, asked me if we had previously interacted, and pulled a random salesperson that happened to be available to assist me. That salesperson then told me they did not have the car they sent the quote for, but I could select any car they currently had there. When I became upset with the bait and switch, the salesperson went to get the manager who set up the appointment, but ended up returning without him.The salesperson refused to acknowledge anything was wrong, kept telling me he hadn't been involved in the process so he could not answer any of my questions/concerns, and that I shouldn't be upset with the dealership's tactics or them wasting my time because I can't change the past. Eventually he told me that "another dealership that would appreciate your business more". When I brought up that I had already passed on their offers, he pointed at his watch and said, "Dealerships are open until 9 pm. You have time to drive to Ontario or Irvine. It's not a problem."The manager found me outside as I was trying to leave. He apologized for the salesperson's comments and not knowing who I was, took partial responsibility for the situation stating he had not realize that I cared about which car I got when he set-up the appointment, and offered me the car I was sent the quote for (as it had yet to be delivered). Ultimately, I followed the advice of their salesperson and went to a different dealership, had a wonderful experience, and got a better price.I gave some stars for the service department, which I have had positive experiences with over the years and has friendly employees. Previously, the con was that the maintenance wait time estimates are typically twice as long as you would encounter at other dealerships. However, now under the new ownership I can no longer schedule services easily online or through the app (like I can with other dealerships).

Everyone was very friendly when I arrived to the location in Carlsbad . Billy helped me out most of the time there and he was super cool and treated me more like a friend then a customer . The process was super smooth and seamless. I felt the staff and sales team here were easier to talk to then some of the other locations .

A refreshing visit to a dealership. Saw the price online. And that was the price when I arrived. Go figure. It's a no nonsense , get-to-the-point type of place. But don't get that confused with the dealership not caring about you or deal. They want to make you happy. The handful of people (sales, management, finance) I had the pleasure of working with were on top of their game. The test drive was the most thorough test drive have had in many years. Finance was also quick and easy. The menu was clearly explained. Products were well priced. On top of everything, they have the most inventory to choose from in San Diego County. It's definitely worth the drive. I cant wait to buy another one lol

Very pleasant, no pressure car buying experience. The vehicle I was interested in was available per the website information, I was able to test drive it, and I subsequently purchased it. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase any warranty or other extras that I declined. I would definitely make the 40 drive south from my home to Carlsbad in the future to purchase another Subaru in the future.

I had a great experience buying my car. Our car salesman, Yuri, was very friendly and explained everything about the car and answered all my questions. The general manager was very friendly as well. Going through the finance department was also a much better experience compared to what I have been through before. I did not feel pressured to buy their products and felt respected.

Wow! Look..our new Forester Wilderness is great..but Subaru, you've outdone yourselves with building a stellar team! Our sales rep, Miguel, was absolutely outstanding, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Manny (we cannot wait to learn from him with your new love-encore redelivery program) was so friendly and we could tell he genuinely loves his job. And Brittany over in finance was just as fun, educated, and professional as the first two! Outstanding all around. We cannot wait to refer more friends and family to your location and truly hope to continue working with these three individuals for many more years to come. THANK YOU!

Where do I start with these guys...1. They sold me a lemon. The day after I bought the car I noticed issues (electrical and loud cabin noises - annoying creaking sounds all over the car). Flags should have gone up when I test drove the car and the sales guy immediately rolled down the windows and turned up the volume to show me the 'audio capabilities'. I had to take the car in three times in two weeks for them to finally fix the electrical issues...the annoying creaking sound was passed off to me as 'yeah, just poor design'. Are you kidding me?!?!2. Do not trust their Service Department. I brought my Crosstrek XV in since the warning lights lit up like a Christmas tree. They ran the diagnostics and said I have a blown head gasket (which is a common issue with Crosstreks between 100K and 120K miles so watch out for that). Their estimated cost was $6,600. WTH? I sent their quote to two independent gear heads who work on their Subi's and they both said "this is total BS." They pointed out the service guys grossly inflating the book times and double-dipped on labor costs (charging me for labor that wasn't needed).Safe to say I will never set foot in Auto Nation Subaru of Carlsbad ever again. You can't trust anyone there.

They sold me a 2018 Outback with a standing starlink class action lawsuit that nobody told me about. Of course my car had the issue too. They could not even fix it because they didnt have the parts. The wait was 8 months. I wanted to sell them back the car, they would not offer me close to value. Even though they sold me the car with the problem, and it was still under warranty. Great customer service. That same outback 2 mo after i bought it certified pre owned needed 4 new tires, and kept having to get the alignment done. Bob Baker refused to cover the tires. I must have worn them out in 2 months time from a certified car with new tires. Never would buy from them

Paid $1,600 for 60k inspection: received horrible slow service, attitude and a dirty car back. was supposed to be a fairly quick visit and pick up car same day but, because they are swamped with customers car was not ready until an hour before closing time, with traffic there is no way to get to the dealership in time. I was not kept updated and didn’t even get an update regarding what was done on the car until I came to pick it up. scheduling was a joke as representative could not find the car in the system, apparently dealership changed ownership and all the information was erased? Also, brought my super social and friendly Beagle with me because Subaru always advertises how dog friendly their dealerships are, no one ever looked in our direction or asked if we needed help in the parking lot, inside the building or in the service department. pick up was another fiasco, if you don’t keep nagging them they just forget about you or can’t find the paperwork. best of all the advisor didn’t know the answers to my questions and didn’t bother to find out from anyone else. they promised to wash the car… well they forgot apparently. why should I bother driving over an hour to this dealership if they don’t value my time or my money?Update: Tim GM called to discuss the issues noted and listened to my concerns. He asked for me to give them another try and offered some complimentary services. Will see how it goes next time. Second time a charm? Hopefully

I recently purchased a CPO’d ‘22 Outback Wilderness Edition and this was, by far, the easiest and most comfortable car buying experience I’ve ever had. Matthew was my sales rep and he absolutely knocked it all out of the park: from the varied test drive to experience the agility and handling of the car to the straightforward buying process, it was smooth and quick. Their initial sale offer was right on par with market value and they had me out the door with a fresh car in hand within 2 and a half hours. I’d recommend it any day of the week to any of my family and friends, with a special shout out to Matthew! Thanks!

I had a Great experience purchasing my new Subaru Forester. My Salesperson Sean listened to what I needed, was extremely knowledgeable about all the features the Subaru Forester offered and found the exact Car I needed. He has followed up several times since my purchase making sure that I know he is always available to answer any questions I might have. I also had a great experience with the financing dept and the actual purchasing of my vehicle. I have never purchased a Subaru, but I am definitely sold on this Car Company . Subaru, you are doing something right ! Thank you !!

Ask for Yuri! He knows what he’s talking about! Overall Great experience! As a first time lessee and Subaru driver, I was impressed with the level of attention and care each member of the sales team put into their piece of the transaction. I appreciated their attention to detail and comprehensive explanations. Big shout out to Yuri for being patient as I changed my mind over color and trim multiple times and for finding the best deal to suit my needs. Thank you everyone for a very positive experience!

Visit began with interested a d thorough sales associate than truly engaged us with every detail of the car, far before any discussion of purchase. After visiting dealers that showed little or no interest, this engaging experience really stood out. Purchase process that followed was also good and more than fair.
