What a wonderful experience with my niece! The manager, Angelina, was so kind, knowledgeable, and made the process of creating our own personalized candles so special. Also, shout out to Sophia for her support and especially with getting the quote I added to my candle label reminiscent of Marvel. We will definitely be back!

Luckily we had appointments, because this little gem gets pretty crowded.
My cousin and I saw this place while on our weekend getaway and said there's no way we can leave Carlsbad without creating a candle. Sunday, October 13, 2024, we were able to create magic!!!!
The two young ladies overseeing the shop were absolutely amazing, beautiful inside and outside.
Very pleased with the price and extremely satisfied with my final product.
I will be a returning customer. Thank You ?

This was a fun and entertaining way to spend some time with family and friends. The staff is helpful, professional and informative. The products were of good quality. I enjoy burning my new candle and plan on returning for refills.

I stumbled upon this store after moving to Carlsbad from Australia! I got to make my own candle and it was so fun! They have a sent that contains eucalyptus which is divine! It’s called white birch (I think). Now I just drop my empty jars in and they refill for me! Highly recommend! Would be fun for a party or team building etc.

It was a wonderful experience to create my own candle during a team bonding exercise. Unfortunately, the candle jar broke once the wax was finishing. I had the candle lit and I heard glass breaking and as I looked closer I see the jar broken ? please see photos attached

We found this place on vacation on a day that we took a break from planned activities to shop and explore Carlsbad. My two kids and I each made our own candles and LOVED the experience, but were disappointed at pickup. We weren’t told about making the labels when we dropped in, so we asked about them at pickup. The person working said it’d be an extra 10 minutes to make the labels, which we agreed to, but then she added that there was a party of 6 coming in and someone else was using the one book of label designs. In other words, it’d be really inconvenient if we waited for the labels, so we went without. I also wasn’t given the lid for the vessel I chose for my candle, when I chose that vessel for the aesthetic with the lid. Seems like an awesome place if you live in the area and/or make an appointment, but not as great if you’re just dropping in for something to do on vacation.

Originally, my partner and I had a lovely time at the Candle Bar. The scents and options were incredible, and the process was a lot of fun. The girl there was sweet and accommodating as I painstakingly spent over an hour arranging the crystals atop my candle (since it was supposed to be used for my wedding).Unfortunately, she didn't care at all as she shoved the tissue paper down into the warm wax, absolutely destroying the design and burying the crystal I brought from home (given to me by my partner at the beginning of our relationship). I came home and excitedly unwrapped it only to openly sob at the carelessness.An absolute waste of money since I can no longer use this candle for its intended purpose. I'm so sad.It's a great concept, but you may want to go somewhere else to do it... Don't risk the heartbreak.***In response to the owner, I should clarify, I was not exaggerating when I said I spent over an hour positioning each crystal. At this point, I've just decided to burn down this candle, get them out myself, and go somewhere else. The entire experience was a date on our anniversary, exactly 6 months before our wedding. It was very meticulously planned.Perhaps speak to your employees about either letting the wax set or not shoving the tissue paper down into the candles when wrapping them. I just hope this didn't happen to anyone else.

Had a great women's day out at the Candle Bar! Sandra was so 11helpful and nice to everyone, even when it got busy. It takes time from start to finished work, but wax has to harden. There are lots of nice shops to visit while waiting.

Looking for something fun to do in Carlsbad look no further! We had a blast creating our candles with lots of help from Madeline. The other good news is once they are burned down you can refill again with your favorite scents, flowers, or stones.

Its a nice place and nice activity to do, maybe little bit pricey, but over all is nice experience have multiple choices.
