I had a hard time applying for Credit cards for my business online and went to the Chase branch in Carlsbad.I was approached by Mr. Paul Abril who was very helpful and, in a few minutes, got me the cards. He is very knowledgeable, and I am looking forward to transferring all my accounts to Chase bank under his supervision.

I had a very scary experience at the ATM this am and unable to reach anyone at the branch. THIS IS WRONG.

I deposited around $500 cash into the ATM at this location on June 7th 2022. Once I deposited the money the ATM said it was having trouble accepting cash and to call a number to see if the deposit went through. I waited seven days and it had not. When I went in to speak with a teller about it she was quite rude and lectured me for not knowing the exact amount I had deposited. She instructed me to make a claim over the phone for less than I think I deposited otherwise if I overshot it I wouldn't get any money back (received conflicting advice to this after I went in a second time). After that claim was processed I went back in to speak with the manager to see if there was anything else I could do/complain about how it was handled and she was equally cold. At no point did anyone at the branch apologize for the inconvenience or have an attitude of like wow our bad let me see how I can help you out. The manager even said "that's just how technology is sometimes" and made it out like it's my fault for not knowing the exact dollar amount I deposited rather than the banks fault for not maintaining their ATMs. I wouldn't deposit cash into an ATM if I didn't have full confidence that it was actually going to be received by the bank.I will not be banking at this branch again and I'm considering switching banks over this.

Dan Sponseller is forever my go to guy. Very down to earth, thoroughly informative and just an all around awesome dude. He helped me with ease and professionalism if you need a new manager for that location I'd be so happy if you promoted Dan this guy is like a bank ninja! He even made your crazy hyperactive fraud detection system seem like a benifit even though its been nothing but troublesome for me and others banking with Chase lately. He said " were really just looking out for you". And I believed it coming from him. Mind you, I have over 20 years of customer service experience. Dan brought me back into the fold and I'm looking forward to working with Chase so long as he is there for us. This guy really makes this bank look good. Check him out!

This branch is by far the most incapable Chase Bank branch I have ever experienced. Chase has always provided top notch service. Not this Carlsbad Village branch!! The branch Manager Jennifer, is also incapable of providing proper customer service. She has an unprofessional attitude, almost like you're inconveniencing her. We have done a lot of business through Chase and I have never experienced this level of non customer service. She does not follow through when she says she is going to. I will be reporting her to Corporate as well. I even had to call the Manager at another branch to speak to her. Absolutely ridiculous. This branch had ONE transaction to do, and they couldn't complete it without people going through hurdles and calling them telling them how it's done from another branch. I will never do business at this unprofessional branch again. Save yourself, all of their employees need more training, go to another branch.

I DON'T REALLY LIKE THIS CHASE IT ALWAYS FEELS LIKE NOSES ARE AIMED HIGH BUT THATS WHY I USEUALLY USE THE ATM PLUS I AM CONFIDENT SOME YEARS BACK THEIR MONEY COUNTER RIPPED ME OFF HUNDREDS AS I ALWAYS COUNTED MY CASH 3-4 TIMES BECAUSE THOUSANDS MADE ME NERVOUS, BUT A YEAR OR SO LATER WENT THE SECOND TIME THINGS WERE SHORT COUNTED AGAIN I MADE THEM DO IT THREE TIMES, OR I WANTED MY MONEY BACK. THE THIRD TIME THROUGG THE MONEY COUNTER WORKED. I ALWAYS ASSUMED MACHINES WERE RIGHT UNTIL I CHALLENGED IT . I LIKE CHASE POINSETTIA, EL CAMINO, LA COSTA, MISSON WEST OCEANSIDE BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO LIKE EVERY TYPE OF PEOPLE YOU RUN INTO. CHASE IN THE VILLAGE IS EFFECTIVE BANKING THOUGH AND I DO BELIEVE IS SAFE BANKING BUT COUNT YOUR MONEY BEFORE YOU GO IN AND HAND IT OVER BECAUSE YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE NOT THE GAL OR GUY AT THE COUNTER.

My father went to this location to do a cash deposit and was attended by Juan T. When he got home he noticed his receipt showed a withdrawal instead of a deposit. He went back to the same location to speak with Juan to get everything situated. Juan offered no apology for his mistake and simply asked my father to clarify that he was in fact trying to do a deposit initially. Why else would someone give a teller cash if not for a deposit? Juan reversed the “withdrawal” and correctly changed it to a deposit and we were on our way. Maybe some training in showing empathy is next for Juan.
