This was my first, but hopefully not my last stay at the resort. I was at the resort for business and stayed 4 nights. I arrived around 7pm on a Sunday. The valet and check-in experience was smooth. My room was very clean and the temperature was perfect. Finding a soaking tub in the huge bathroom was a great bonus. The only complaint I have is regarding a slight odor in the shower. I think it was coming up from the drain, not from the water. Room service was easy, prompt and the food was hot. The coffee at Marketplace was delicious and there was a good variety of non-alcoholic beverages. I want to give a shout out to the bell stand and the valet. Their hustle, friendliness and unwavering devotion to customer service, made my visit even more pleasant. I will definitely go back!

Beautiful resort with tons of amenities , beautiful pools, amazing Spa, groomed property. James our bellman was fantastic. The service here is amazing, all employees I met (minus 1 or 2) treated us so warm and friendly. Can’t wait to come Back. Recommend the villa rooms- the 3 other regular rooms we tried first smelled like mold and mildew but we finally got a villa room and it was amazing .

La Costa is beautiful and a great location. No doubt about that. However, sometimes not all the shops or restaurants are even open. The Spa is wonderful…especially I want to compliment Maribel at the spa. She was so kind, professional and sweet. This is how everyone at the resort should be trained to act. The crew at the marketplace and gift shop was not impressive. Acting immature and like teenagers and snickering about me because I was questioning the new parking policy where they only validate if you go to the restaurants (even if you drop hundreds of dollars at the gift shop) which makes zero sense. Ironically, when I left the parking lot, the machine didn’t even ask for the ticket so I could have not even got it validated. Seems like the employees have no idea what’s happening with the new parking situation. I would go back for the spa only.

This is a Motel 6 hotel room at a Four Seasons price. While the property is expansive and there are lots of shops and restaurants. The whole place is run down, smells bad, stained carpets, loose tiles, dripping shower heads. The valet provided exceptional service getting us to our room.

This property has great potential and I imagine when new was amazing. The adult pool area is great, the staff is amazing, but my room had a very strong smell of mildew and I heard this from others about their rooms as well. My room was 0.5 miles from check in (per google maps), so this is a large facility. Be prepared.

This place has a "zen" feel! Very relaxing atmosphere, well manicured grounds, and expansive views over looking the rolling hills in the background. The food was great! And the service was top notch. Although the rooms were somewhat updated, I found some of the finishes still seemed dated. The golf course also was top notch.Rooms: Rooms were updated bit some of the fixtures still seemed dated.

My now husband and I stayed here the week leading up to our wedding and the two days after. Overall, I would say I was disappointed with our experience and would not have chosen this venue for the week of my wedding. We had reserved a king villa for Tuesday-Saturday and an additional 4 bedroom villa Thursday-Saturday for some of our wedding party. We also had suggested this place to several guests. Our guests had to move rooms after finding 4 roaches within ten minutes of arrival. This was very embarrassing for us having suggested they stay here. On our check in day we arrived very early (10am), and were understanding that they could not accommodate us until later in the afternoon. They did say they made note of our arrival and would get us in as soon as possible. What I did not expect was to wait until 4pm. Six hours of waiting around for the villa to be cleaned was excessive. I would have expected utmost cleanliness with the amount of time we spent waiting. Unfortunately, we were met with a cigarette/joint directly outside of our door, and filthy wine glasses covered in what looked like ash or dirt. Housekeeping took several hours to address this, though each person we came across was kind and respectful. I also had to get my own bags from valet once we were checked in because after two hours of waiting for them, I needed to get ready for dinner. Our bedroom was very humid which was a mild inconvenience for my wedding day hair but otherwise was mildly uncomfortable. We enjoyed the view from the room and understand the hotel was booked the week we were there, so this is a problem that we just dealt with.We had our after wedding brunch at Vue which was one of our favorite experiences. They staff accommodated our larger than expected group and made it work. We were served very quickly and everything was delicious. I will be reviewing them separately. I also enjoyed the adults only pool. The service was great and the food was also great. They also had a live food demonstration.I hope that our negative experiences were a fluke of a busy weekend as the grounds, food, and attitudes of the staff are all great.Food & drinks: Everything we ate here was delicious. One of my favorite avocado toasts I have ever had.

We planned to stay here for the first time and had heard from friends that it was a fun place for kids. Our kids first hotel experience was quickly scarred as my daughter was getting ready for bed and a 3" long cockroach approached her in the bathroom. At the same time a giant spider crawled across the stool in the bathroom and it felt like bug chaos. I quickly called down to the front desk (our room phone was out of order so I had to use my cell) and let them know the issue. They said that the only option since they couldn't move rooms for us, was to have someone come capture the bugs and call it a night. I was shocked, there was no offer of any other kind and the nights we chose to stay were NOT CHEAP. We decided to leave as it was nearing 10pm and no one wanted to sleep thinking there'd be more where those bugs came from. No offer to relocate us, return us at another date, or upgrade of any kind. It wasn't necessarily that the bugs grossed me out (although they did) but it was our entire vacation was at a end over the principal of NO customer service, even when the employee spoke to a manager. Refund was given, barely. Also, important to mention both the family pools and garden pools were extremely unkempt, cloudy, and reeked of so much chlorine it was generally not enjoyable. No one could find the ping pong balls to play at the pool, and there were so many seeds and bird droppings on the ground it was like walking a mind field to enter the pool. The bartender even recommended against getting a cocktail at the Splash Bar saying they were watered down and not worth our money. Yup $18 for ice water booze?! No thanks. I didn't find this to be a "spa" "resort" or "nice hotel" at all. Do better Omni, and make your customers feel like what they are paying for is worth it.VERY Disappointed and won't recommend or return.

Resort is beautiful. There were a few issues but front desk was very good and took care of them. Parking area key access was not working correctly and golf course is under construction so just be aware. You might have construction view.Walkability: You will need a car. Not near anything really. But pretty area!

The a/ c was not working properly, I reached out a few times, and the room was warm and muggy.I noticed the filter was very dirty , spiders in the rooms , both mine and my sons. The grounds need sprayed badly , as my kids & grandkids got a lot of bite that inflamed and made them miserable, either from the room or the grass area. The pool was amazing. The games they had for the kids were fun. The service was excellent. I do want to go back again and hope the items have been addressed. Great places to eat close by. The pizza from the store was very good. The individual size is more like a small pizza, just fyi ?Rooms: Rooms need to have the air filters changed regularly , and sprayed for spiders, along with the balconies, both of ours were covered in websSafety: We felt very safe thereWalkability: They really had all you needed at the resortFood & drinks: Food and drinks were very good

Start with the bad and end with the good. The room had a phone that didn't work. They replaced it with a phone that worked but only if you selected line #2. The bathroom doors were on a sliding track that took serious muscle to move. Room service is provided by some outsourced food delivery company that requires you to enter hotel street address just to look at the menu. The patio needs to be washed as it had a significant amount of bird waste on it. And the worst part was I caught a roach running across the bathroom floor on the last evening of our 3 night stay. The good part is the hotel grounds. The pool area was very nice and a shout out to Alicia and Steve for providing exceptional service at the pool bar. The restaurants all provided excellent service and we enjoyed every meal. The pro shop staff were a bit less friendly than I had experienced in the past but this was the first time back in a long time.Even with the room issues we would return. I did inform the front desk about the bug problem as well as the other issues. They apologized and said that since they were digging up the course for remodeling it was causing some issues with nature.

What's not to love about this place. Been several times for spa days. Services are always really good. Sitting by the pool having lunch after is so nice. Only reason I took away one star is because everything here is so expensive. But highly recommend.

First, I only spent a few hours in the pool area. We were celebrating a family event. We rented a cabana. It was a great afternoon. Poolside service from the bar and restaurant was friendly and prompt. The crowd was friendly, family oriented, and having fun. I spent most of the time around the shallow kids pool watching the grandkids and hiding in the shade. One other positive note. The resort is large. They have valet parking or, self parking about 1/4 mile away. Great option. But while we were walking from the parking lot, a resort employee offered us a ride in a golf cart. So nice. Little thing, but just nice. A+ to resort management that hires and encourages this kind of helpful behavior. A+ to these employees. One more thing. I do not think the bill was "inexpensive".

Our room was full of long black hair. Even in the mini fridge. Grossed me out ?. The pool has 2 slides which was cool. There is also a spa and gym here. The gym I give a 10! It was the best gym I've been to thus far at a resort. The spa has a steam room which was fabulous!

I was at LA Costa Resort & Spa to play golf but the resort looks amazing! As we left we walked by the pool area and was envious of those at the pool. They appeared to be enjoying themselves very much. As for the golf, we played the Legends course. The Champions course is unavailable due to a complete redesign ahead of hosting the NCAA Championships in 2024. The Legends course was 'okay', nothing spectacular, and, as a result, the amount paid to play it was not a good value. The course is in decent shape, it just lacks character.
