Please anyone looking to do business with the San Diego credit union! I urge you to steer clear of this financial business! I have been a customer of theirs since 2008! Recently over the last year I fell victim to online scams! I'm currently legally fighting them for $83,000.00! They have refused to help me and cooperate! When I get my funds ! I will be firing them and looking for a better financial company!

Not to complain but went to open an account for my daughter and the employee named Miguel who as really rude and hit with anger. He made my daughter cry. I also went in to deposit a some one and he question me and said my wife licensed is expired. Don’t go to this branch especially with this Miguel guy who gives trouble.

Great customer service. Every time I go to this brach with an issue, the staff are helpful and friendly and always resolve the issue promptly and with a smile. My favorite branch in North County.

Nice employees but incompetent. Whether it’s a staff issue (frequently providing incorrect instructions/information) or a systematic issue, we have had repeated issues with loan payments not getting processed or being applied to the wrong loans. Don’t bother

I can't get any customer service from them. I contacted Shonette Stocks at the Carlsbad office 4 times and she failed to get back to me. I've had nothing but problems with them. I'm closing all of my accounts there. I've had enough of their low level operation and incompetence. Such a waste of my time. Their phone wait times are also horrendous. Live and learn

I went in to the La Costa branch to deposit a check and wire that money to my mother who is currently in the hospital with COVId and needed to pay bills from her phones banking app online. I was told there would be a hold on my check and I couldn’t wire anything until it clears. I asked if there was any way to lift that hold considering I have banked with SDCCU for a very long time. I was told there is no possible way to do that, and Kemarie the teller told me she wished she could but it’s impossible to do. I then asked if a manager could maybe look at it. The teller next to her walked over and claimed to be a manager, and again told me it’s not possible to ever waive a 2 day check hold. I said, are you 100% sure because I believe I have had them waived in the past. They both told me with confidence, it was absolutely impossible. I then drove over to my Encinitas Branch and they immediately waived the hold. Unfortunately by the time I got to Encinitas it was past the time to wire money and my mother will have to hopefully not get a credit ding for late charges on her bills due to COVId. This could have been avoided if the tellers at La Costa didn’t lie directly to me and has some compassion to assist a customer.

I requested a new atm card and pin two times, both requests were not carried out. I went to a location. To get a new card and pin so that I could do banking outside the bank. Legally I do not have to wear a mask. I was denied essential banking services unless I wore a mask. Literally the ONLY PLACE I have been denied entry. I will be closing my account and moving all my accounts to my other bank which has not denied me services.

Not only are they nearly impossible to reach by phone, their mortgage loan company Midwest is totally impossible to reach, nor do they return emails. They're holding $thousands over correct amount in escrow and no way to contact them or clear up the problem. Horrible service.

Awful bank. I hate their policies. Government payments are held for days! Service is awful in most of their branches and their phone operators never answer the phone if your lucky after an hour you'll get an un knowledgeable rep. If your calling to dispute a charge ohh my good luck with that! They provide zero security they do not fight to get your money as a matter of fact you'll get assigned the same female rep each time to handle your dispute. I hate this bank and cannot wait to close my account with them and sever my ties. Horrible horrible bank

Decent car loan program for rate but their website is the worst. Very UN-intuitive website which is difficult to navigate, normal options you regularly need to access are completely buried and hidden. Sucky sucky really horrible web presence. Makes it totally not worth any other benefit their program might offer. They kept taking automatic- transfer car payments after we paid it off and has the nerve to say it was our fault and out of their control. "We suggest you go in and manually stop your bank transfer." Really? Gotcha dude. Or you know, just quit stealing our money. We had to have a rep walk us through the 14 step hidden process to do that. She said "yeah it's really hidden." So they know. There's no excuse. San Diego LET'S MAKE THINGS ABSOLURELY AS DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE ON OUR WEBSITE Credit Union.

ATM may take your cash and then shut down.They are telling me it may take MONTHS to verify my cash deposit.Go to any other location.This one is chronically understaffed and they make major mistakes with accounts.ATM said cable missing shutting down. It then shut down with a black screen for about 5 minutes before it turned back on like nothing happened.Teller said 'oh it happens'BEWARE
