I’m so sad to be writing this review, but every time we’ve come to the vet it’s been nothing much a bad experience. I don’t feel like they care about me or our dog. Recently, our dog had blood in his stool so we brought in a stool sample. The next day I never heard back from the office so I called to follow up. They told me the results weren’t in yet but would for sure be in that day and they promised to call me. No one ever called. It was a Friday and they left us waiting over the weekend wondering what’s going on with my poor dog. There is no triage number and no way of getting in touch with the office when there is an emergency. They completely lack compassion and professionalism for their customers. Find another vet you trust your animal with.

I took my pet here a few years ago. The people were so aggressive handling my passive dog that he peed himself in fear. That's when I ended the inspection and took him somewhere else.... Sometimes I've thought I over reacted but recently I've started working near their location. Daily I get to see these monsters aggressively drag, yank, pull, choke and do everything else you wouldn't want someone to do to your dog while they're being walked... so yeah I made the right choice. Daily I see these people abuse the dogs they're walking. I've never seen them in control of the dogs, nor treat them with patience of compassion. Don't take your babies here, they'll abuse them.

No matter how long you've taken your pets to the Andersons and been treated like a treasured customer, don't count on them if your animal is in distress and you need immediate help. They'll refer you to the emergency clinic in Monterey or see you in a few days. Animal Hospital at the Crossroads stepped in for me yesterday, took my very sick little girl immediately, treated her immediately and saved her life. My loyalty will be transferred & so will my pets' records.

I can't praise these guys enough! We had an emergency with our 13 year old Rottweiler mix over the weekend (of course). Luckily, Dr. Anderson is our regular vet. He graciously took our call on Sunday to answer some questions for us. On Monday when he was back in his office, we called him & he was able to find out the results of our dogs urinalysis to determine whether or not he would need a more invasive bladder surgery to remove some stones in his bladder. Dr. Anderson concluded that the stones can be dissolved through diet, which his staff ordered for us & we were able to go with a simpler procedure for our dog. We are so grateful to Dr. Anderson and his staff who fit us in this week to get our pup the care he needed & helped us to avoid having to put him through a major surgery, plus he saved us a pretty penny not having to go through emergency services. I would highly recommend their office. Thank you Dr. Anderson & staff!

We were staying at Carmel Valley Ranch and our dog sustained an injury. Dr Anderson was just down the hill and fit us into their rightfully busy schedule. Happy ending all around. Highly recommend this empathetic animal doc and staff.

Dr. Karl Anderson is one of the most phenomenal human beings I have ever met. He is compassionate, reasonable, attentive, thorough, caring, an expert, and so much more. He takes time to look, explain, level with you, offer suggestions, and guide you through the options for your pet.I took all 4 of my pets in recently and his staff was wonderful, their prices are SO reasonable, I love that he gives you the power to make informed decisions and never guilts or pushes you to do more/less than you think is best. I will never stray again!!

Dr. Anderson is a lifesaver! His compassion for helping others is one in a million, and he is just a kind soul! I called about 8 different veterinarians in the area, begging them for help due to my kitten who bit her tongue in half, and none of them would help me or they offered an appointment days later. The morning was just an absolute disaster; I had movers at the house to move us (to the bay area for an upcoming surgery), and then my 3 month-old kitten who's tongue was literally dangling off, I was frantic to say the least. Luckily, Dr. Anderson was able to fit me in and save my kitten's tongue. When he was finished with the surgery, he gave me a call to let me know that it had gone well and also send me an email with pictures of her. When I picked her up, he made sure to address any concerns that I had and gave me a hug, telling me that he knows I will do well for my big surgery. He and his staff are wonderful people and I am so very grateful to them for their lifesaving services, and their compassion.
