Today, I walked over to the floral department at Carmel Safeway and was cheerfully greeted by Aurora and asked if I needed help with anything. I have never been acknowledged before while floral shopping, so I felt extremely welcomed. Aurora helped me pick out a couple of small plants and a balloon for a friend's birthday. I can be pretty indecisive, but she helped so much by asking me the right questions and helping me pick the healthiest looking flowers. Her enthusiasm for helping me find the right gift was extremely appreciated. She went above and beyond with her customer service, and I will not need to think twice before coming back next time I need any plants or flowers, and I will be recommending this Safeway's floral department to everyone I know! Thank you Aurora!!

Favorite place to shop. Love the pick up options, only great thing that came out of Covid . I rarely go inside anymore but when I do the staff is always so helpful. I love that they recognize me and ask about my family.

This is my preferred Safeway in the area. I love the self checkout lines, the store is clean, including the bathrooms. The shelves aren't always stocked the greatest, and it is hard to find a staff person. But it seems to be the cleanest and calmest Safeway in the area. I just wish they had self checkout lines open earlier and later, I do a lot of my shopping at target because Safeway limits when they're self checkout lines are open.

Stopped here to purchase groceries . A few items we needed were out of stock . Store was clean but staff is rude. The lady at the self check out made us feel uncomfortable. She scolded my daughter in law because she asked her for help on a mistake on the screen . Spoke to her rudely . She kept looking at us like we were stealing throughout our checkout .Other self checkouts were being used but we were only ones being looked at . Made us feel unwelcome . Not sure if it due to us being the only Hispanics at the store. This happened Sunday April 23 about 2:30 pm . Will no longer shop at this Safeway . Hate to say this but she seems racist.

I love my local Safeway at the Crossroads, Carmel. Manager Joe Miguel runs a great store. The staff are terrific. I go there often, and have no complaints. The produce and meat departments are especially good. If any returns are necessary, they are always done immediately and with no questions.

If I could give these people negative stars I would, they are absolutely clueless when it comes to customer service. Nice store, great selection, morons for managers; its their job to teach, train their employees on even basic customer service. Case in point, my last visit asked two stockers where an item is located , first, "Well it could be here, or there, or possibly over there, maybe... Next stocker "I don't know, I've only worked here two months..." Go to their deli, at least four people working there will only occasional look at you, then ignore you. I finally after about 5 minutes of being put on ignore get to meet the guy that's job is to help. I explain - he says, "it not there job..." I said not to even acknowledge a waiting customer. "That's not their job..." Finally talked to an Assistant Manager and got the 20-mile stare followed by, "Well enjoy the rest of your day." YCNMTSU!

Ive been getting sandwiches from the deli section for a couple of weeks. Everyone has been kind and courteous. Norma in the deli section makes the best sandwiches. Lots of options for everyone.

Really nice Safeway. They have very fresh produce, clean shop, a place to eat your food, bathrooms and a wash area. We went here and grabbed some snacks and a breakfast sandwich. You can't go wrong at the Carmel Safeway.

I have shopped here for over 30 years. Today I grabbed a bag of frozen shrimp. The sign clearly says $9.99. I get to the check stand they scan at $23.98, on sale now $17.98!!!!! So I ask the guy at self check- he goes and checks. Comes back and tells me the 31-40s are $9.99.... Ok.... So I go check. Lo and behold three men from the meat department are stocking this EXACT area with the sale shrimp- and the ones that I picked up were moved to another case. This is dishonest. This was THEIR mistake. Groceries are expensive enough! The deli is a disaster. I don't even bother with it anymore. They can have 5 people behind the counter pretending to be working while you wait to try and get cold cuts. They have more booze than a liquor store but no Pellegrino- virtually no non alcoholic beverages besides cola. I only shop here because some brands are not available at Trader Joe's. Lines at checkout are always long so I opt for self check. Rarely are there people available to bag groceries- Beware of pricing in this store!!!!

Loved coming here because we could make our own food from our hotel instead of paying the high restaurant prices. This Safeway is open 24 hours and offers a huge variety of things. the food appeared to be fresh. I especially loved this Safeway because they had prepared vegetables already cut for pretty affordable prices. I never really have seen this before. Usually prepared asparagus or Brussel sprouts usually cost a lot but here it was only $5. Anyways, having this store so close to town was fabulous.

Decided to get a breakfast burrito here before my doctors appointment. Review is strictly for the deli department, this is just about the best breakfast you can have, if you want it fast that is. It's always fresh, delicious, 100% recommend always. Truthfully I could eat one of their breakfast burritos from Safeway every morning if calories weren't real. Great breakfast overall, and very filling. They have tons of options you can choose from; bacon, sausage or ham or you can have all three to make it a trio - thank you!

This is the worst grocery store I've ever experienced. Snobby employees and many items past the expired dates. The store is fairly large but it's not worth shopping here. I am surprised that the people from Carmel tolerate this kind of crap. This is a grocery store I will definitely avoid.

The lady in the deli hooked up our breakfast burritos. Our local Safeway typically skimps on every ingredient. You will get your money's worth at this location. Best part is that it only costs $3.99 per burrito. The store itself is clean, organized, and well stocked.

This is one of my most favorite Safeway on the peninsula the staff at this Safeway unlike others is unmatched I always get greeted by a hi how are you doing and my name. Then for the bad reviews you guys do realize it's still Covid right? I went there today to pick up some groceries and the cashier was Jasmine she was super nice and offered to help me carry the bags to my car. I also can't forget the manager she is always super friendly and helpful.

Stopping by to pick up a hearty sandwich at the deli with the hope that we'll be satisfied with the quality and service like the other Safeway branch. But we're definitely disappointed, the deli staff Cynthia didn't bother to ask us what else we want in the our sandwiches besides the bread, turkey, pesto and avocado that we received. She kept staring at us as she'd never people like us before. I mean she didn't even offer to ring us up or ask if there's anything else we wanted (didn't bother trying to sell anything to us, more for the business). Poor costumer service, unpleasant and didn't even know how to operate the register, I explain what's going ie reason why after I put my card I didn't get a receipt or she didn't know how to operate the register and just ask to use cash or something instead of staring at me. We won't be coming back to the location ever again.
