I have been taking my Kenny G Kitty to Banfield Pet Hospital for almost 7 years until he had to be put to sleep. That day was so so hard for me, Kenny was my emotional support for as long as I had him which was 13 years. Whenever Kenny went to the vet, they were so good to him, and the staff, and the vets loved him. Whenever I took him in, the staff were always helpful, and the vets always took their time with Kenny, and they explain, and answered questions too. The staff, and the vet were there for me on the day Kenny was put to sleep. It was one of the hardest days in my life, and the staff, the vet who took care of Kenny were so kind to me, and they really do care for their pet owners, and their pets. Now I take my new kitty to the same vets in Carmichael, and the doctor was very gentle with him, and even though he wasn’t very happy, he still let her do what she had to do. The vet, and the technician were very good with my Little Kenny. All of the staff, and the vets at Banfield in Carmichael are caring, and gentle. They are also helpful to the owners, and they are helpful to people who are visually impaired like me, and as long as I have my kitty, I’ll be taking him to Banfield in Carmichael. I would like to say thank you to the vets, and staff for taking care of my kitty who just passed, and I felt comfortable leaving Kenny Kitty there during the day when he had to be there all day, because they loved him, and he loved them too. My new Little Kenny G Morris is in good hands, and glad to be taking him to Banfield in Carmichael.

I recommended Banfield to my sister for her new baby puppy to go to!!! The worst advice EVER! NEVER DROP YOUR ANIMALS OFF HERE!!!! It was supposed to be a 2 hour appointment and they NEVER CONTACTED HER ALL DAY! She had to show up at 5:30 and ask for her boy, and these POS “vets” not only STARVED HIM but also released him to his parents with POOP all over him!!! You are supposed to be a VETERINARIAN!!! You guys are lucky I don’t call the police for animal abuse or start filing a lawsuit for mistreatment of animals!!

This specific one has the worst staff. Their communication is awful, they don't spend enough time answering questions, and they don't give you enough meds to last the recovery period! You have to pay extra to keep your animals healthy it's so ridiculous. They dont fully explain what to expect, I felt like it was all very rushed. They barely train their front office staff before they interact with worried pet owners, making it way more stressful for everyone! I will NEVER take her back to this specific one, the staff are very unhelpful and just made everything so stressful. Oh, the cones they give are absolutely awful, you're already charging an arm and a leg, charge me more for better cones that aren't tied on with string!!

My call was quickly answered and I asked if they offered puppy wellnesss plans. Yes. Please hold. After 6 minutes of holding I decided if they couldn't answer a quick question that was a routine question, they probably wouldn't provide much in the way of quality care when it was needed.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR ANIMALS. I called this location to see if they had the Royal Canin GI food in stock because Banfields on Watt and Arden were out. This dog food does have to get approved by a vet and cost 130 for a 45 pound bag. Anyways, they said they have the food in stock and I asked if they could please hold a bag for me. The young gal said to me looks like your dog has not been seen here I said no he hasn't, but I have a prescription from Banfields on Arden. She said there are new rules now that my dog has to be seen by their Dr and it is up to the manager to give you this food. She then placed me on hold for 7 minutes. But comes back and says we will do it this time. I said ok great. We hung up and not even a minute later the Manager calls to tell me they can't do it and that a Dr has to see him before we can give him the food. Regardless I have a prescription. I told her that my dog needs his food and everyone is out of it and if she could just do it this time. She told me no. I told her that I wanted 7 minutes for this gal to get approval and thought it was all good to go. She didn't care and told me to call other places. I then asked her so, you feel comfortable about a dog that doesn't have food and will be hungry and you are still telling me no? She just said yup sorry.I would highly recommend finding another vet to go to. They have no empathy for animals or their care. I was able to find another Banfield that had it with no issues.

I am so pleased with Dr. Mary Watson. She addressed all of Honey's issues. I feel confident in the care my fur baby received today at the Carmichael Banfield. i am so happy with the service i received here that I have made it my home vet clinic.

Customer service has gone away down. We love Dr. Watson, and she's the only reason why we stay. But for the past 5-6 months, it's been really hard to get prescription refills. I call and about 90% of the time they have to put me on hold. The hold lasts more than 10 min. I'm on hold right now. It's been 17:12 min. They answer and say "1 client ahead of you" or "place you on a quick hold". There was one time I had to drive to 2 different locations and get a refill. They said on the phone that they will get the refill ordered and that I can go to another location that day and pick it up. Well (pause. The call went to an automated voice answering message and prompted me to press 0 to reach them again. It rang and went to a voicemail option so I hung up. That happened at 20 min on hold) anyway I went to the second location and they called the first location to verify. They later said the order was in but I couldnt get it at another location, and have to go back to pick it up. After this 20 min hold to prompt a voicemail, changing my star rating to 2 stars... Sad.

Snuggles loves going to the vet and has a great time! They give him the card he needs and add a dose of pets and scratches.

0 STARSTerrible customer service. They lie and do not do the procedures they are paid to do. Confirm your appointment only to have you show up and tell you to bring the cats back 6 hours later. I have a wellness plan on my dog and cats. They can not handle my dog and 1 cat so I have to spend extra to sedate. They still couldn't perform the services so I have to sedate and be in the room to help them. I've been to other sites and will have to change locations as they make you pay for the policy on a contract even though they do not hold up their end.

They provide great care for the animals. They're not cheap, but I'm confident in the care my cat gets when I have to leave her.

I will never be back to this location! I gave them two chances and I had very disappointing and frustrating experiences both times. The first time I took my dogs there, they said they would need to keep them for a couple hours, but they ended up keeping them there all day. The second time I took my dogs there was for booster shots. Something that should have taken 10 minutes tops. Jab Jab... out of there. They tried telling me that my dog's appointment was canceled / not confirmed, even though it had been the day before. It's not like they were scheduled for dental surgery. It was literally 2 booster shots. Could have been out of there in 5 minutes but instead they tried rescheduling me for next week. No thank you. Never going to be back. So many other vet clinics in the area. Only reason I gave Banfield a shot was because they are open on Saturdays but I would rather take a couple hours off of work and go to VCA down the road.
