I took my broken Fuji hybrid bicycle in last week to have its bi-annual tune-up which, as usual, involved replacing the gear cable, sprockets, chain, and crank. I knew all that work was necessary when I took it in. They had the bicycle completed the next day, cleaned, wheels straightened, and all the mechanicals replaced and lubricated. The price was fair and proper. The two people I dealt with were both very friendly and helpful. No one tried to up-sell me. Hopefully I'll get another two years service out of my bike.

I have been here several times and they are pretty good people, I have purchased a couple of bikes from them, prices are reasonable for nowadays on many items,let's face it bikes are expensive I will return in the future.

I went in to get my new bikes breaks centered. I left with the front still rubbing and noticed a torx bolt head head had been bunged up and the new caliper scared from whatever wrench was used to do the service. This was on a new bike, new rotors new calipers and less then 60 miles of riding. I guess my new bike is no longer new thinks to careless maintenence. On top of this the service is slow and the original service request wasn't complete so it required multiple phone calls to get worked out. I left 80 dollars poorer and with damage which wasn't there when I dropped my bike off. I will not be going back to this shop and to be honest they should replace the brake they damaged through their carelessness.

Excellent. I needed a quick turn around on a hydraulic disc brake install with internal routing. Most shops quoted a week or more but I was in a hurry to get the brakes installed before taking the bike for a trip. I let Damien know when I needed the bike ready by and he went above and beyond to work with me and make sure I was sorted out in time. The quality of the install is perfect and the price is reasonable and similar to what you would find elsewhere. I can't find anything to complain about. Damien at Neighborhood Bike Shop was great to work with.

We have never been treated worse by a service business. My wife and I loaded up here bike to bring it in for a tune-up and wheeled it in and leaned it against the service counter while we waited for the single employee to finish helping a family that was looking at buying several bikes. After roughly 15 minutes, it bacame apparent he was getting close to finishing with the family when another customer walked in and began looking at bikes and the employee walked right past us to ask the new customer if he needed any help. We looked incredulous and asked if he wanted to help us and he just looked away and said "whatever". Needless to say we left and went to Bob's in Fair OAks. A bit of a drive but well worth it to be treated to exemplary service.

Bought a bike for same day pickup on trekbikes.com. Drove an hour to this shop same day. Shop manager says he hasn't received an order. i show him my receipt. he still cant help me. I call trek. They say they sent the order over. Turns out the shop owner is the only one who can accept the order because shop manager doesn't have control of the email account. Not sure why he wouldn't. Super cool guy btw(shop manager). So I end up leaving empty handed. I end up buying a bike from a shop an hour away that same day on trekbikes. Didn't seem to be an issue for that shop. For the last 5 days I've been calling trying to to get the charges reversed. Trek tells me that it's up to the shop. The shop keeps telling me its on the owner of the shop and that they would email him. I guess he doesn't do phones. Today I finally received a very indifferent response from jesse the owner of the shop. Only after i finally got his email and emailed him. He tells me its on a third party called locally. he says i bought it through them. My statement says the money went to neighborhood bike shop. I called trek for the tenth time and they still say you need to cancel the order. They say they tried reaching out to you. I guess you don't do phones.

I took my bike in for some work on a flat tire, brake cable, and for a new helmet following a hit-n-run collision with a driver who was high on drugs a couple of weeks ago.Dave, the store manager, was happy and eager to help. He quickly replaced my rear inter-tube, front brake cable, and set me up with a new helmet. He was courteous and had a great sense of humor.This is definitely my new shop for all my cycling needs.?

My family has lived in the neighborhood since 1993. During that time we have purchased three bikes, all Trek, from the bike shop and repaired or serviced our bikes many times. I was disappointed today when I brought in my electric bike and was told the shop only services Trek electric bikes. It seems to me a shortsighted policy that disregards the loyalty of long time customers. I have always enjoyed the experience at the shop. But I must say I don't think loyal customers should not be refused service even if they have another brand bike. I was referred to another bike shop on Broadway but they asked me to come back later as they were out of space to store bikes waiting for service.

My wife and I went in for a repair on her Electra. David, the store manager, is terrific. He was not able to perform a repair on the spot but jury-rigged a fix that worked great until he can get to the full repair. He totally knows his stuff and is personable and confidence-inducing. This will be our go-to store from now on.

I recently purchased indoor cycling shoes and cleats. I attempted to install the cleats myself. I tried to use them at the gym but could not snap them into place. I decided to go to the Neighborhood Bike Shop and was told I had them in backwards. Opps! Dave was very helpful. He put them in correctly. He explained how I might need to adjust them once I use them. He also gave me tips on how to care for my shoes/cleats. Excellent customer service!! I will definitely be back.

Great bike shop, welcoming friendly staff very informative and a crazy inventory of electric bikes and non electric bikes, great and plenty of parking. You love bikes you will go crazy in this store!!!
