Carts are dirty and hard to find. The whole place needs a refresh. The workers are pretty good and they have decent deals sometimes. I mostly go there for convenience since it's the closest but I don't get everything from there. The fresh produce seems to be reliable. It would get a better grade if the parking lot got cleaned, and they had clean carts and had both doors open in the front of the store. It really needs a facelift.

They had a very decent selection. I had trouble finding one item and I asked for help and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The prices seemed reasonable. I will shop here again and would recommend this store.

Rude , entitled, unprofessional, prejudice, obnoxious employees. Only had good experience with two workers. The white cashiers will be very overly and fake polite to old white customers, but when a young black customer in working clothes comes up , they are very rude, cold, and have absolutely no customer service skills. I know we're supposed to be polite to our customer service workers, but a lot of them at this store are just flat out rude and it comes to a point where you just want to confront them, call them out for their complete & obvious prejudice, lack of customer service based on appearance! You can tell when they're being very very polite to the old white customers that live in Fair Oaks in big houses, but if they think or even consider that you come from the apartment complexes or if you're obviously not rich, you are treated as if you're ghetto, you're that problem. They are not gonna be polite to you, they are gonna watch you at the self check out, they will watch you in the store, they will gossip about you and laugh at you. Even the meat department lady is very rude, obnoxious, and sarcastic for no reason. The young white cashiers that are guys and gals are rude. I don't know who hires people there but they do a terrible job at hiring and they do a terrible job at letting go bad employees!

Foolishness allowed in front of SaveMart at this Carmichael location. Two young women seated in running car for over 20minutes near store entrance. Cars coming in and out trying to avoid head-on incidents and they never move. Watch an older gentleman come up in a motorized wheelchair. He throws a pillow in car and I thought he was going to be assisted in car. He had no groceries and then handed them some money, talked a few minutes and speed off in his motorized wheelchair.

I've experienced poorer customer service lately from this Bell Air market....I guess sign of the times. I arrived this morning near 10AM and inquired about their roasted cooked chickens, which weren't out yet. The clerk at the self checkout stand said he didn't know when they would be out and I had to go over to the Deli to ask? Ok... Then I stood for maybe 10 minutes and no one came out to help or ask if I needed help....finally a fellow came out from the meat department, looked me in the eyes then turned and went back into their back room without asking me anything!! So....I gave up waiting. Maybe its time to find another market for groceries? Bel Air prices have definitely been going up. Cheers All

The store is organized. The bathrooms are always disgusting.the bathrooms need to be cleaned and remodel they look like a rest stop. Some of the staff are helpful the other half are rude as hell. The rudest one of them is the cashier Ronnie she is so rude. She doesn't need to be a cashier because she has no customer service skills she needs to not have any interactions with customers always have a attitude like she doesn't want to be there.

I am disabled and just moved to the area I've always wanted to shop at save Mart as I have one in my area before I moved its just this save Mart just doesn't cut it there employees are rude there's never anyone to ask and when the few times that I would need to get something that they had on sale especially the buy one get one free sale always claimed it wasn't the same product when it clearly said that it was and it was marked on the shelf and so I didn't get the items that I actually went into the store to get they fought me tooth and nail about pricing and they cheated my mother in law out of things as well she won't shop there anymore either. I have actually spoken to other people in my complex that say the same thing about this save Mart they advertise something but when you go there it's a different story to get the things that are on sale don't know what's happening but when asked to speak to a manager they say there's not one on site

So I went in to get t fruit for a salad. The weekly ad showed Driscoll strawberries that were 2 for $4 and red grapes for $1.29. While the price was right, the produce was wrong. The first 6 baskets of strawberries were wilted and some even mold on them. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I looked at the ones on the bottom, which were no better at all. I moved over to the grapes. They looked NOTHING like the plump ones in the ad. What a complete disappointment. Clearly Savemart is NOT the place to go if fresh produce is on your shopping list. What a letdown.

I was very surprised today at some of the prices. Now I understand this is a generally pricey store, much like some of the other supermarket chains. They had baby back pork ribs priced at 8.49 per lb. I was shocked. 31 dollars for one slab of ribs? I shop there when I need just a few items as it is very close to my house. For bigger trips I will drive the extra distance to Winco in Orangevale. I specifically wanted baby back ribs today. I walked out, drove to Winco and they had baby back ribs for 3.28 per lb. So why would I pay over 5 dollars a pound more to buy ribs here? Most every other aspect of this store is good. The people, the service and cleanliness of the store, no complaints. The "gouging" on the rib prices pretty much had me floored. Why, Save Mart? Why?

Okay.. I'll keep this short and sweet. This store has gone downhill so fast. I used to love Savemart. Everyone was so kind and helpful but not anymore.. I come to this store daily. EVERY DAY, for years.. I spend hundreds of dollars here. It's dirty, most of the workers are rude and you're definitely not saving much. I've had a few occurrences with Dee, which is why I've finally decided to post this review. Dee has been so rude to me on multiple occasions and it's actually shocking that she still has a job. I'm not going to get into details on here but I am talking to management about it. Just go to Raleys or Bel Air where you'll get treated amazingly and pay the same price for your items. Don't waste your time here. **Maybe there should be a refresh course on customer service since they've all stopped caring**

I've shopped at this Save Mart for several years. Tonight will be my last. I saw 4 couples and 2 single persons NOT wearing masks, even though they have a sign saying they must be worn. When I stated my concern to a check out clerk, I was told they don't enforce it per store policy. If Save Mart doesn't care about my health, I will go down the street to Walmart Neighborhood Market or Safeway where they care about my health

Friendly staff and great prices. Luckily this is the nearest grocery store to my house. I have been coming here for years even before when it was Albertsons. Every week they have an advertised special and I usually shop here at least once a week if not more. I have gotten to know alot of the staff over the years by name. My husband and I especially like Marla and we like to tease her about her San Francisco 49ers, cause my husband is a Raiders fan. In fact we like her so much, when I found out the store ran out of Lysol, I picked up an extra can at Lowe's and brought it in to her. We also like Maria whom I have made dog cookies/treats for as she once gave us her dog crate for our new puppy for free (pass it on). My husband likes to talk football with Harold whenever we see him because he who is also a Raiders fan. I can always find really good deals on meat and poultry and also good deals on bones for the dog. The fruits and vegetables are always clean and fresh which is not the case in other stores that I have shopped at. The management and customer service are always friendly and never seem annoyed to help me to find a certain product. As long as I live in my current house, this place will always be MY STORE!

They are allowing people in without masks. In a pandemic. Half the workers don't wear them over their noses. Overall avoid this super spreader of a store.

I've come here for years and always have had a great experience with how friendly the staff is but not tonight. A cashier named "Sidalcea"... extremely rude. No customer service whatsoever and gives off a shitty tone when she speaks. It's super upsetting and uncomfortable for the guests and employees around her. Mumbled something under her breath during my experience tonight. Shorter shifts if she's that exhausted with dealing with people or get rid of her all together. Seems to drag the whole place down.

Purchased a cake for birthday on 8/21/2020, prior to picking up the cake i called because I did an online order a week before for a cake. I called and they didn't have my order at first but Jennifer went above and beyond, called me back after I was frustrated and going to get a cake somewhere else last minute, she was able to find a cake like i needed. She was pleasant and very kind. If it wasn't for her superior customer service skills, I would of not left four stars or had the cake I wanted. The cake was delicious and everyone loved it thanks again.
