The quality of this store has declined immensely all the organic vegetables are always rotten literally their water hasn't been working for two weeks... there's never any indication as to when it's going to get fixed and I think they charge so much money for their products that they should keep good things and working machinery is in their stores for their customers and not to mention the US Bank that's at this location the employees are so damn rude.. that has nothing to do with Safeway but it's an all together experience and like I said the quality is just declining:(

This Safeway has the nicest employees working here! They are always polite and helpful and always greet me when I approach the register or they see me walking down the isles. They have great sales and digital coupons that save me a lot of dough!!! Prices are up everywhere, but I see Safeway at least tries to give us discounts to save as much moolah as possible!! Love this store!!

Twice was overcharged for deli Sandwich. There's a sign above the deli,,, Most sandwiches are $8.99. Then I see a sandwich ( fewer choices) for $5.99. So ok,, I could get something in my tummy and save $3 bucks. Go thru checkout,, eat in my car,, before heading to my caregiver job. Look at the receipt. I WAS CHARGED $8.99 Another time, on a sandwich DEAL DAY WHATEVER,,, I got the Z" DEAL" which is supposed to include your SAN/ DRINK/ chips. Nope,,,, all those were separatelyRang up. Something to do with the STICKER THAT TELLS THE CLERK WHATS IN THE WRAPPER??? Neither time, did I have time to go have it corrected but I have not been back. There are over 1,000Complaints online for SAFEWAYS,, all over, on complaint board .com. I give up. These dollars add up and I work too hard for them.

Carmen is the best cashier here. She's always so friendly. Keep up the awesome customer service! I enjoy shopping here I just dont like how the homeless people hang out here. I like when security is here.

Dylan was extremely helpful. We had a double charge and he went above and beyond in helping us recover our receipts in order to prove the double charge as well as issue the refund. He was very kind and understanding, if management is reading this review he deserves a major raise!!! We've seen him at the store for about a year and he has always been helpful and kind to customers. Seriously give this worker a raise!! No joke!!

Why is the Safeway truck with trailer attached driving down Cypress Avenue when there is a 7 ton weight limit posted? Until recent years I see more and commercial trucks including Sysco traveling on Cypress Avenue in the early morning that appear to be over the posted weight limit. I saw the Safeway truck this morning around 5:30am. It's additional wear and tear on roads that were not designed to carry the amount of traffic and weight. Thanks to GPS, traffic is now being funneled down streets not designed for it. I could pull video from my security cameras and forward to the agency that is supposed to enforce this.

The only grocer who carries Hungarian hot wax peppers, 24 pack club soda cans, love their Jalapeño bread, florist on duty, bank. Asset protection measures so I don’t pay for other’s freebies!

FILTHY. The front of the store had decaying garbage all around and looked as if it hadn't been swept in several days. Floor inside the store likely FILTHY, didn't look like staff was even mopping up spills. No courtesy clerks at all (about 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon). ONE overworked checker (to her credit, she was trying her best!) on a full-service line, without a courtesy clerk to assist her. One other "less than 15 item" clerk. THREE persons around the "self-service" area, not apparently really doing anything but gabbing with each other. Asked for the front end manager or the store manager, I get responded to by the "Number 3 man" on the floor, who was dismissive and gave the usual "COVID" EXCUSES for failure to properly staff. Hey, I can go to Wal-Mart or WInco if I want surly, unresponsive store personnel and filthy conditions. I had thought that Safeway was better than that, I guess that I was WRONG.

Favorite Safeway in Sac. It's nice, clean and big. Helpful people work there. I do Shipt and Instacart so they've saved me many times by helping find things. The store itself is very organized. The man that works in the produce department seem to really care about his job bc it's immaculate and he's alway out there especially in the mornings g stocking it up. The deli people are great plus they seem to have way bigger selection of food. When doing self checkout there somebody there to help so I've never had to search for anybody when something is ringing up wrong. Everybody there is super friendly.

This review is strictly for the Starbucks inside this Safeway location. The grocery store itself is great, and I've been shopping here for years. I came in on a weekday morning and the barista was helping the customer in front of me explaining what pastries they had. He wasn't helping me but he seems very helpful in general. However, there was another person behind the counter (not sure if she was a manager or barista or what) but I was standing in line just trying to purchase some cups while she stood there washing her hands and joking around with other co-workers. She didn't acknowledge me much less help me. Just plain rude, and they weren't busy or anything. I ended up going to self checkout and missed out on getting Starbucks rewards because this person was apparently too busy to do her job or even just to tell me someone would be right with me! Just acknowledge your customers please. It's pretty easy to do.

Jake J. Front End Multi Purpose person was great and seemed to be running the store with little to no help. Haley was just about useless and seemed unhappy to be at work. Gregory and the security guard both also seemed to be pretty useless. Give Jake J. A promotion. Make him the "front and back end multi purpose Manager" or something like that. Thanks Jake.

I didn't think this experience would push me to write this review but when I look back and remember how the checker 'Dayvelle' covered their name tag after they could tell they realized they made me uncomfortable that put me over the edge. After providing me with my receipt the checker felt it was necessary to shout extremely loud the number of gas points that I had available he then proceeded state loudly that (direct quote) I was going to have to give him ' at least 2 of them.' When I told him ' no' he then proceeded to heckle me and ask why I can't give him any because I have so many available !?!? At this point I was feeling extremely awkward and uncomfortable so I looked at my surroundings and this outburst drew everyone's attention !!! I noticed that the five customers behind me we're all staring with surprise at this interaction The checkout line behind me was all also all staring as well including the other checker who was smirking at the spectacle. My feedback for this representative is that he should maintain a higher level of professionalism when interacting with store guests and on the clock.. not everyone and cares to air out their personal private business in front of multiple strangers..asking for usage of my gas points is just unacceptable even if your were joking, it's just not acceptable. This was a poor representation of the Safeway Carmichael store. Dayvelle - NO you may not have my hard earned gas points please have some more respect and stop asking customers for gas points.
