Was encouraged to go in from a previous customers Yelp review about welcoming staff, "Totally Right"! Nick the store manager was exceptional. He took time to help me and answer my questions while still politely and professionally helping other customers as they entered the store. Customer service is an art as much as it is a skill and this place has it! As a forever student in surfing it was great to walk in to a place where I felt my needs were heard, I didn't feel any pressure to purchase anything or talked down to cause of my lack of experience. Walked out with a new wetsuit and am really stoked. Store has a lot to offer and the service makes it the place to go! Thanks again, I'll be back and Smokey too!

Lovely owners, and an excellent selection for a smaller shop! We've gotten wetsuits, fins, a board, etc. They're open even though construction is happening all around. Go support. ?

A-Frame is everything you would look for in a local surf shop. Lessons are reasonably priced considering everything is included (board, wetsuit, & instructor). We look forward to visiting this shop every summer :)

A “gem” in the crown of the Queen of the Pacific!I am 73-year “young” former body boarder now living in Utah. My wife and I were visiting a life-long friend who lives on Rincon Point. I couldn’t imagine visiting the “Queen of the Pacific” without at least trying to ride at least one Rincon wave.Thanks to the help of delightful owners of A-Frame I was able to achieve my goal!The wetsuit rental and new fins were perfect!????

Awesome shop. My son ,who has autism ,had a surf lesson with Blake. He was wonderful and really went out of his way, so my kid could experience the ocean in a safe and fun way. Our family is super grateful and my son can't wait to go back next summer and surf with Blake again.

Sam and the folks at A-frame are so amazing. Their instructors and summer camp are top notch. They had our kids set up and ready to go in minutes. You can't go wrong with A-frame.

I was heading back home to SB from LA, hitting various surf shops along the way looking for a soft top for my son. Selection is scarce these days, but A-Frame was one of the few places with a decent selection of Odysea boards and more. The shop is not huge, but has just about everything you want, with hard/soft tops up to large fun shapes. My son needed something that had some float, but was maneuverable. I thought we'd need at least a 7', but the young and exuberant Sam steered us towards a 6' 6" Odysea "Mayhem." I never considered going that short, but he said it's an excellent board that he rides himself and highly recommended it. First day my son took it out in smallish surf, he was catching every wave and turning like a pro! We were very happy with the purchase. Sam was super knowledgeable and walked us through fin and board setup, without a hint of surfer conceit; overall great experience and would come back anytime, being 15min from SB.

We had an awesome time. Excellent surfing instruction in an ideal location for beginners. All equipment included. Very short walk from store to beach.
