Santa Barbara Hives is a beekeeping business focused on sustainability, with a shop in Carpinteria. It is a superb little niche and local haven, offering fresh honey, organic soap, lip balms, beeswax candles, and other local items. They bake sourdough bread and French pastries daily, including gluten-free banana muffins and outstanding Nutella raspberry croissants. The menu features excellent coffee, a delicious tuna melt, and amazing pizza with a crunchy, chewy sourdough crust. The place is low-key with super nice staff. They also operate a weekend drive-through for sourdough and pastries in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone.
They have an awesome selection that has a major variety. Go in and find what you like, try the Charcoal Sourdough!

10 out of 10. Great sourdough bread. Always pick up a loaf and eat during our stay at Carpenteria State Beach Park. We’ve had more than our share of their coffee both hot and iced. Yum 😋
