As someone who cares deeply about my father's well-being and the community of Carpinteria, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with this property. My family has a strong connection to Carpinteria, spanning four generations and it is truly upsetting to see that due to poor management, my father is being forced to leave his hometown.I would not recommend this place at all. The issues that need resolution are numerous, yet the management seems more focused on engaging in illegal tree-cutting activities than addressing critical matters. My father has informed me that the management cut over 20 large trees without obtaining any proper permits, reflecting a severe lack of regard for legal procedures and the environment. This property has great potential, especially as a place for our seniors, but the current mismanagement has resulted in my father experiencing stress and damage to his property due to a fire incident. The lack of competent management skills is evident, and it deeply concerns me to see how this is affecting my father's peace of mind and sense of security in his own home.Furthermore, the amenities provided are not being properly maintained. The hot tub, intended for relaxation, has become a bathing station, rendering it unappealing and unhygienic. This situation has unfortunately caused my father, who needs it for his arthritis, to forgo using the hot tub or pool due to a staph infection. Despite reporting the issue of someone using the hot tub as a bathtub, the management has chosen to ignore this problem, showcasing their neglectful approach to residents' concerns.Even during his nighttime walks, my father has witnessed alarming activities on the property. He has seen obvious drug sales and individuals engaging in illegal substance use. The property has also become a regular camp for the unhoused population, highlighting the management's misplaced priorities and lack of proper security measures. The most distressing incident involves a resident on oxygen smoking in her apartment, leading to a potentially catastrophic fire. If not for the quick actions of another resident, the fire could have caused the oxygen tanks to explode, putting everyone's safety at risk. Shockingly, the woman responsible for the fire faced no consequences and was allowed to move back in, creating great anxiety among the residents about their safety and belongings.Adding to the frustration is the management's disregard for written complaints from residents. The property has attracted attention from the sheriff department on multiple occasions, including an eviction incident involving ongoing drug sales, which underscores serious flaws in the management's background check process. To make matters worse, my father has witnessed concerning behavior from the manager, including talking to herself in a manner that suggests a potential mental health crisis. This adds to the overall concern about the manager's ability to protect and ensure the well-being of the residents, particularly the vulnerable senior and disabled population. In conclusion, the issues at this property go far beyond minor inconveniences. The mismanagement and lack of concern for residents' safety and well-being have deeply impacted my family's long-standing ties to Carpinteria. As a four-generation Carpinteria family, we are disheartened that poor management has led to a situation where my father must leave his home town. Until significant improvements are made and responsible management is implemented, I strongly advise against considering this property as a viable option for residence. I am actively searching for a new place for my father to live, as it is evident that this property is not a suitable or safe place for him to remain.

Yes. Shawn Douglas & Liz Mosqueda, in conjunction with Hud worker Leda Martinez; made this move a very positive experience. There was an extreme amount of paperwork required and the coordination of it, was brilliantly done by Shawn Douglas. I am very grateful for all of the assistance and ongoing communication with Shawn Douglas & others.
