I was looking for an affordable Barong Tagalog for men, a modern look but still traditional. Glenna was very patient with me. I told her my budget and what is the occasion and she took her time showing me all the options. I the end, I ended up picking up one that fits my budget and meets my style.
If you are in need of traditional and modern Barong Tagalog, come check this place. They carry a wide variety of options that meets your budget. They also carry Filipiniana style - the turnover and Maria Clara style dress and also available for kids.

Chello was super helpful when we were looking for a traditional dress for our daughters school heritage day. All of the dresses were very pretty and prices are reasonable. Had to go with the flag colors 😉

Lady was helpful! Selection was great! I ordered two braongs and they arrived in 60 days as promised. You can't rush good quality so I waited patiently, perfect fit! I would order again!

As it says right in the name, this Formal Dress Shoppe specializes in Barong Tagalog for men and children. Located in the heart of Filipino town in Carson, it is located in a small strip mall on the East side of Carson. None of the stores seemed particularly busy, and none of them had reserved parking spots for only their business, so thinking parking isn't a problem. We stopped by before lunch on a Wednesday, and it wasn't busy. Glenna was taking care of the store, and very helpful in giving us advice and prices. She mentioned that the owner is at the store on Sundays. The store had a really large selection of Barongs for men and small children, from synthetics to natural pinya (pineapple leaf fibers). The material as well as the embroidery influences the price (ranging from $70 to $400), and had various sizes. They also will take custom orders, to be made in the Phillipines, so if one has time, might be good to go this route (since the prices are very similar and would be custom fit). In fact, there was a large display of custom Barongs in the front, ready to be picked up. They also had a smaller selection of Baro't Saya (traditional women's dress). This would be the place to go if one needs a large selection of Barongs for any formal Filipino event.

Super nice and super sweet. When they're in my time of need. This Barong was for a sad event, but the love and kindness I felt from Manang was overwhelming. God bless this business.

Thank you, Tita (Lani?)! Came in on a Tuesday. Around 3pm. Nice selection of traditional Filipiniana garments, Barongs, boleros, dresses, stickers, patches, etc. Super friendly and helpful. I got to try on the Barongs and find my size. I tried on Medium and it fit, but the one I wanted was out of sizes smaller than Large. But I tried the Large size on and it honestly fit very well. So sizing between M and L is very small. I almost walked out buying more than one! Very nice price compared to prices I see online. Plus you get the convenience of trying on in store. Definitely recommended.Salamat po!

Levy went out of her way to open her shop doors during afterhours so I can find a barong for my son's preschool multicultural fashion show. She was informative to the styles and make of fabric and why one cost more than the other. Thank you very much Levy. My son has his first barong and will represent his Filipino roots in the school show.

This is a nice shop with great options and a convenient location. I was trying to find a barong for my large build husband and was worried to order on an online site since it would've had to be custom and not sure of the fit. The lady in the store was super helpful and patient with me and my questions. I saw some really nice filipiniana dresses and nice style barongs for my son. This is definitely a great place if you're looking for traditional and modern style Filipino barongs and dresses.

My fault for waiting last minute, especially for my only daughter's wedding in 1 week. I have a suit and I thought I can easily borrow a barong from a friend. I was so wrong. I could not borrow, so the rush was on to find a place. As I searched in Yelp for a store, that sold barongs in the LA area, "Barong & Formal Shoppe", came up. I went there and was able to buy an "off the rack" barong. The barong was $79 and the white undershirt $10. Anyway, if you need a barong in short notice, with a good selection, off the rack, and a good price range from $79 - $250, this place is excellent.

I got my tailored barong at these place and my fit was spot-on. The owner and the ladies who help us out was very friendly and professional. They have a large variety of barong. Being a guy on a lager side, they tailored my barong perfectly. They made my 4hour trip to Carson worth my while. Thanks again
