I recently came to Maximo Tax to handle some urgent tax business. I called and was able to schedule a same-day appointment very quickly and easily. David was able to guide me through my questions and handled my taxes with ease, all while being very respectful, helpful, and welcoming. I will definitely continue my business here in the future, and I highly recommend Maximo Tax to everyone!

I truly recommend this place for your taxes!!! Edgar was very extremely helpful. He helped my fiancé and I with our taxes. We were in a bit of a rush to leave and he accommodated us and told us he could finish them later. He called us a day later when they were done. All we had to do was come in and sign the paperwork and of course pay the man for his diligent work. Past years I've done my taxes elsewhere it's always a big hassle... not here. Definitely check this place out!

This place was recommended to me by a friend last year, i was impressed at how easy it was to get an appointment the same day, i walked out of there very happy, everything was so easy. Okay, let me tell y'all, Due to covid back in 2020 we were forced to look for a new place to do taxes because our main spot that we've been going to for 15 plus years was closed. So we started looking for places and we found "Maximo" we read the reviews and we thought why not? We came here and this guy named Edgar completely walked us through everything. We were asking non stop questions due to covid being new and he was so insightful and helped us with every question we had and even went out of his way a couple times to get us answers. This is your guy! He makes everything easy for you to understand and not to mention he is super fast, we were in and out in less than hour! I'm super grateful we found this place and we will be coming here for as long as we can!!

We went to their location in Lomita where we sat with an overly done up, chubby woman. First off, she kept asking unimportant questions like my age (bish what does it matter???) and if I got a return last year (this is a different year different situation so what does it matter??) None of my previous preparers have asked such non sense. Also, she kept directing the questions solely at me and didn't even bother to ask if my spouse and I are would be filing together - which we would be. She looked over my documents ONLY didn't even ask for his and said I would owe taxes. What made us walk out and leave this dump is when she said my taxes would need to be paid on the day that I file. No, it actually doesn't have to be. I owed taxes the year before last when I filed single and I DID NOT have to pay my taxes same day. As long and the government gets their money the will work out a payment plan with you inexperienced d*** bish. This place absolutely sucks!

THEY'RE SCAMMERS!!! They might give you a big refund amount. But I promise you guys they are stealing a big chunk of money!! You should be getting more than what they tell you! I did my taxes last year with them and even recommended 2 people to them! Things were super fishy! I didn't get my forms after doing taxes! Only signed 3 forms and only took 15 min at the most for the process. They gave me a card with state and federal amount. Guys check your refund statues on Irs website! It provides you information regarding your federal amount. It'll tell you when They receive it, process it and send it! And if you cannot see it something is going on. I couldn't see my process! I called maximo and they kept giving me the round about. I finally picked up 1 check from them! They said it's all in one check! It's a lie!! I called irs directly and they gave me a different amount that was given! It was more! They took $638 from me. They took a bit of my federal and kept my state check! When I brought it to their attention they said it might have been some glitch from their banks end and were giving my money back. This happen to my parents! They noticed the same thing and they end up giving my parents $477 in cash!! Who does this?! This is horrible! people are working so hard throughout the year and are getting robbed! And they redo their paperwork and change numbers in it so it's best to call irs to make sure. They changed my numbers in my paperwork and when I called it was something totally different. Check IRS.gov for federal check... don't see anything call them directly! And go to ca.gov to check your state check! You should be able to see your statues after 24 hours after filing. Makes me so mad because we trust them to do our taxes and they steal money we worked hard for. AVOID THIS PLACE! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY WITHOUT YOU KNOWING.

There super nice, but not good at taxes, they have made numerous errors. There doing the best they know, but there not experienced enough to actually help. See and look for a real experienced tax person.
