Red ribbon is 5 stars for their savory and sweet pastries but their pancit palabok and arroz caldo are below par than other Filipino restaurants. Their palabok is tasteless with noodles tending to stick together. The arroz caldo needs a lot more ginger. Manila sunrise has better pancit although it's malabon with thicker noodles. Island pacific has better arroz caldo with chicken cuts instead of shredded chicken. Only shop here when they have coupon. Otherwise I find them overpriced.

This is the third time i have picked up a cake and when i check the expiration date on it, either it is going bad the next day or in 2 days! The quality of the cakes has gone down hill. It taste stale because their trying to sell old cakes for full price. Disgusting.

This review is just based on their s'mores chocolate cake. It is incredibly delicious!!! Very light, moist, with interesting textures and layers and not too sweet at all. Service was very friendly and shop is clean.

I love this bakery. Their empanadas are fantastic. The Mamon is delicious. We'd like to get a variety of all the delicious items they offer and we are never disappointed. I would highly recommend it.

Love the empanadas. Cakes were delicious. Haven't tried anything else but I hear they're delicious. I'm going back tomorrow for another order of empanadas. Fast service and clean restaurant, nice ambiance.

Wow! What an amazing hidden gem in Carson, CA. Just absolutely incredible, great service, really good mocha latte, and amazingly delicious ? empanadas ? they have a variety of them. They have pork, chicken and spicy chicken. I hope I'm not missing one more, but my personal favorite was the Chicken empanada. So good! Very flavorful and warm. You absolutely have to give them a try. The Mocha Latte was really good, aix of both but more of the mocha and a 4 oz. or so of the espresso on top. Overall, really really good. Definitely recommend when you are wanting to get some good comfort food. They also have different types of Filipino breads and some yummy looking delicious desserts. Five stars! For sure without a doubt. Hands down! Best empanadas I have ever tried, even better than the famous Argentinian styles ones.

I've been here many times but realized I never made a review of this awesome Filipino business. This is a popular Filipino chain bakery that offers lots of classic Filipino baked goods and cakes. However, personally, I frequent this business mainly for their savory options. I love their Chicken Arroz Caldo- a savory and garlicky rice porridge that always hits the spot! They're also more known for their Chicken Empanadas which are hearty and filling. Service is always friendly and welcoming. All their baked and delectable sweet goods are always displayed neatly and beautifully at the front right where you enter. Highly recommend checking out this business if you've never had it!

The place is good. Service is good. They offer a review in exchange for a free one pastries. Its a link online print on the receipt so I filled it up honestly and gave all service related 5 star and food 4 stars and price 3 stars. When I submitted the review they immediately looked at it online and the manager asked me how's the food and I replied good but asked why I gave them a low rating of 70 only. It's kinda rude of the manager telling me "ang baba ng review mo" while handing me the free mamon. I was kind of embarrassed.

I ordered iced ube milk. I asked for no ice and they left the cup half-empty. You'd think ordering no ice would sweeten the drink, but it ended up being pretty tasteless. A cup half empty! Very disappointed!

Went in on Father's Day to get a cake for a baptism. They asked white or pink for the writing... 2 choices. When they handed me the cake it was white writing. Why ask if you can't even get the color right? Whatever. Cake was still good, but don't ask if you can't get it right.

I've been a customer of red ribbon for some time now but it's the first time I encountered this person, Mary Bernadette H as the order taker on the receipt says. Food is good as usual but this gal has NO customer service skills at all. I ordered via phone & requesting for sufficient sauce as the previous order I had didn't have enough. I was trying to explain it but she didn't give me a chance to, she just go on & on & on. Then upon picking up & ordering cake in store, I asked for greetings on the cake, she said they don't do on plastic ever but I remember I did have one before on Choco mousse . Didn't even give me a cake knife which should come with the cake automatically. I do understand that they can't do it but it's her way of being defensive & not making l the customer feel helped & comfy. I hope the upper management will do something about this!REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The good:Woohoo! A Filipino bakery! RR is a chain I'm familiar with because they had locations in NorCal as well. It's similar to 85 degrees or Paris Baguette but specifically has desserts with Filipino flavors like young coconut and ube. I wanted a last minute birthday cake that delivered and RR fit the bill! They had lots of 8" cake options for reasonable prices and the flavors weren't boring like vanilla or just chocolate. I got the sans rival cake which is a famous Filipino cake made of cashew meringue. I liked that it wasn't too big, could be stored in the freezer for longer periods of time, wasn't too sweet and was unique. My husband enjoyed it. It was the only sans rival cake we've ever tried but it definitely made me want to try more. The bad:The sans rival cake was saltier than I expected. I think it may have been the butter they used. I think the cake was a bit expensive for the size but I can understand that nuts cost more. The interesting:The sans rival cake reminds me of the consistency of medovik (Russian honey cake). RR started in SoCal in the 80s.
