In addition to the extremely poor condition of the inventory, I was verbally abused and treated very disrespectfully by a Ross employee named “Joan” who treated another customer in the same fashion. Joan screamed at a customer in the fitting room area and then turned her ire on me when I simply asked the location of the restrooms. She barked “we don’t have any restrooms back here”. When I clarified that I was asking about the presence of a restroom in the store generally - not the fitting room specifically -she screamed at me and lied that the store had no restrooms (the manager Hortensia later advised me that this was untrue and that the “bathrooms were down” - whatever that means). I informed “Joan” that I didn’t appreciate being verbally abused and she responded that she “had already reported me (for what, I have no idea) - apparently in an effort to intimidate me. Her improper and unprofessional behavior towards me and the other customer appeared to be motivated entirely by racial bias. My retort was, of course, that I’d be reporting HER to Ross corporate and management. I asked several employees to get the manager for me so that I might file a formal complaint. I had to ask THREE different employees to get the manager before, after some time, “Hortensia” the manager on duty came over. She appeared entirely unconcerned by the abusive conduct simply stating “I will try to speak to her.” I also advised the manager of improperly charged/labelled items, the extreme long lines at the checkout (only one cashier was on duty the entire time) and the overall poor condition of the store. A horrific and miserable experience that I will be reporting to the Civil and Human Rights Commission.

It was meh.....It's definitely a treasure hunt and messy. People were nice enough. Only had a couple of cashiers. So the line was LONG abs took FOREVER

lots of brands and merchandise.But the store does not seem recruiting nice people. Some of the staffs are not helpful and some are really bad at treating customers.the lady manager is far worse. she should be having training for how to treat customers nicely, how to be polite and for good hehaviour and attitude.really bad shopping experience.

Aisle are too close together. You can barely walk down them. And lines too long when I was there. But they always greet you as soon as you walk in the store and polite at the register when checking out.

The employees there are ALL Mexican, none of them can do the job, they are lazy and incompetent. Absolutely no common sense at all whatsoever. They SHOULDN'T be working there in the first place. Hang up the call just because she can't even rely on the message, what the HELL is that?????

it's ross, what do u expect. they either have what you are looking for or not. staff is friendly, when you can find one, store is somewhat clean, price is reasonable.

This Ross is so clean and organized and full of items I would rather drive down there than Signal Hill.

Employees are very nice, the manager on the other hand needs to be retrained especially when it comes to employees get harassed. I witnessed one of the employees being yelled at by customers and not once did the manager jump in to help.

Literally a line out the door and they can't open more than 2 registers... takes longer to check out than to shop..Frustrating, step it manager..

???Rude people specially in the fitting roomBad attitude because of there behavior I didn’t buy any thing they should be trained well how to deal with the customer but I think they don’t care if they lose money and customers never ever go to there

The good:This Ross has a big toddler and kids section. The boys section had a ton of Mickey Mouse clothing options. They also had tons of kids shoes. The shelves here are pretty stocked compared to some other Ross locations I've been to. They had a lot of options for pet drink dispensers. The bad:The aisles are a bit more cramped. The registers by the mall were closed so you had to pay at the back side by the exterior entrance. There was no bathroom inside. I saw some bags of candy opened and spread everywhere. Their backpack selection for kids looked really cheap. Some of their furniture pieces were more expensive than I expected ($130+ for some of the side tables I was looking at). The interesting:They're located inside a mall but there's a way to enter from outside of the mall.
